There were several kingdoms mentioned in the old version besides Marania(which has a heavy retcon from Arabic inspiration aka King Abban to regular English one King Harold) like we had Etonea and Cavaris from Atherys’ favourite legend of Queen Maerisa as the Queen was mentioned in the remake this could be included either as two different kingdoms or forever united since the times of Maerisa there were also Mortalia(King Roy fought as a Prince side by side with Charles when the War of Three Brothers took place) and Gaverin(Queen Anna, you could only remember the name of the Kingdom in the old version if you choosed the most knowledge based education, she only supported the MC with her army if you killed Astryn), then there is also Poleria Matteo’s kingdom that perphaps we can absorb into Rhivenia depending in our relationship with Richard as there is a chance Matteo just doesn’t want the throne-and we know how his shit show will most likely end- and the old king turns towards his grandchild Richard to inherit Frostriver(taking the name Poleria’s dynasty? Or actually just letting him rule as a Sylvane cause we are a prestigious family).
Do the Kingdoms taken over by the witches back in the day still exist? These are mentioned in passing as old enemies a rivalry exploited by the crafty mind controllers Farnia(King Henry first to fall upon the curse, first to die when it was lifted, a fierce man with many enemies, one of the most feared men of the North, the mind controlling was clear when his began to bled dark and his eyes turned white) and Tarians(Queen Leila sworn enemy of King Henry, suspicion fell upon her many thinking she was the one to curse Henry because of their feud but then she also ended under the control of the witches’ spell), perphaps these two kingdoms are now under Rhivenia given Rhivenia is the North(one of the MC’s tittles as King is Guardian of the North) and Rhivenia is apparently formed by three kingdoms(old version gave the MC the tittle, King of the Three Kingdoms) so perphaps Fernia and Tarians are ruled by feudal lords under Rhivenia or are long dead kingdoms if they are still independent(or the successor states to them) we could conquer them during the witches’ curse storyline if we are particularly ambitious.
The obvious option for conquering is Rhivenia’s sworn enemy Pagonia(you can call it here Neo Pagonia) for the religious hatred(Ateshios the god of fire vs Namherys the Lord of the Sword), Astryn’s future disastrous plots etc you could say trying to absorb them into Rhivenia will end up horribly(which is the most likely case to be honest) but that won’t stop the players if given the option you know that mate!

There was also option for him to marry foreign princess who was heir and if grandfather wants to inherit this kingdom then it will make him dangerously powerful if we arrange his marriage with foreign princess but I think that will be only possible if both kingdom are neighbour with good relationship.
Just send Clara with him as mistress
She is enough distraction for him

Let’s see if that hasn’t been retconned as that was old Marania before it was westernised(King Abban and Princess Edda) but if it goes forward in the same way then Richard would have two Kingdoms(Poleria and new realm) at his disposal, wonder which new Kingdom could fill the role of Marania in the remake.With Poleria alone Richard would be fearsome add another army and yeah we got yet another red seal letter to deal with, a crisis that ends kingdoms if we are his enemy.

If there is a way to convince Astryn to our side? In Original Book 1 - I think MC could convince her but not sure of new book.

We don’t know yet, as of now Astryn hasn’t appeared directly only Erwan and her father but most likely it will remain the same given Astryn is a RO and all. Just don’t expect it to be a popular move with the Rhivenians or foreign powers, specially if she does something outrageous like in the original.

I’m so, so suspicious of Gerald, I’ve even started to doubt Sir Walter and Sir Locke though I still think they are innocent, but then Gerald’s actions recently might have a different cause, this might just be a red herring.

I just find it funny that his 10+ years of teaching royal heirs has literal zero impact on the newly added knowledge stat. That this man has kept his job with such results may indeed be pure witchcraft.

As someone who’s only played the demo of the original before, I’m enjoying this rewrite a lot. I look forward to seeing where it goes
Small code error found in chapter 5 - at the tavern I ordered ale the first time and beer the second time. The scene where Jarean comments on it says $lord.
Also, the part where MC leaves Jarean in the kitchen is repeated in the scene before it where MC and J talk about J’s opinions on the royals.
