I didn’t really nedeed to spend humanity, but what demon king doesn’t have wings? And the control demons ability is just a flavour for the villain ending.
@Arkham Impressive. Very impressive.
You’ve mastered the way of the mini maxer. I’m proud of you.
Well, it was a matter of pride. Seeing that my MC will rule the world as an evil overlord. I wanted him to be uber powerful.
The Dark Knight seemed that already to me. lol. I actually liked being the Dark knight Queen the best reconquering my realm in book 2.
I’m still seriously struggling to get anything other than the puppet ending.
Your stats above @arkham are crazy and nothing even close to anything I’ve been able to achieve.
Five playthroughs now and 5 times I’ve lost all humanity due to stat failures or health going to zero. I followed the advice above to get past the end but still always fail on skill checks.
I think I’m going to look at the last part of E3 and see what skill checks I’m failing then work on building those for my next playthrough.
I’ve never been so determined to finish a game in my life…
Has anyone got a good ending with a good character? Actually now I look through most of these I realise lots of you who have a ‘survived’ ending have played as evil characters?
Maybe it’s my angelic nature that’s screwing me over.
My child, what you need is the wisdom of the Neo cult.
Deep within the temple, you shall find an ancient engraving marked ‘Squire/Ranger guide’. Utilize this knowledge, and you shall acquire the Hero ending with ease.
Nothing shall get in your way. With the power of Neo, you shall lead your MC to victory.
Finished with a pure character thanks to the blood ritual I performed for the Deacons of Neo.
Jeez how have I never even come across this… Looking at this I think my problem is not only trying to max out my skills but making similar decisions each playthrough…
I’m going to look into this…
Thanks both!
Always happy to welcome a neophyte into the order.
After a few trial and error playthroughs I had no problem getting the Hero and Villain endings. I just wonder how you get the Monster and Ghost endings. If you have high Agility and Perception the game becomes fairly easy, If you lose humanity its not the end of the world, even My Siren didn’t have much trouble towards the end. Just go through it with a dark souls mentality you should do fine.
Monster ending requires this.
OK I’m going to focus on those tonight. I admit when I played my pure ranger character I didn’t miss so many skill checks towards the end…
Were you using mostly archery?
Yep… Pretty sure I was high in archery, agility and something else. Looking back though I’m pretty sure that was a playthrough where I chose not to use the demonstones.
I don’t use the demon stones either, just dodge a lot, that’s how I beat K’girr, although you may have trouble getting Villain and Hero ending, because My two options are two set myself on fire or save K’girr. I don’t really know good archery playthrough. If you die with K’girr you get Martyr ending, still more satisfying than puppet though.
So did you focus on magic or blade offensive?
I did a magic playthrough, though I do have a Blademaster playthrough, and still got the martyr ending.
OK - thanks everyone this is really helpful. I’m going to try a couple of playthroughs tonight where I make completely difference choices to the ones I’ve made.
Except romancing Bran. That’s a given… Unless I can’t meet the requirements for that… :o
