The Hero of Kendrickstone: Rescue a city held hostage by an evil wizard!

Okay, I’m absolutely loving this game, and I’ve done so well playing as a pure bard, but I’m having a bit of trouble at the end now. I’ve brought back the bandit prisoner, but when it gives me the chance to talk to her to get the password and outfit, I get three options and every one of them ends with her bawling and kicking me out. I have an eloquence of 6 at this point + high morale for the bonuses; what am I missing here to get her to talk?

Similar option at the end, having chosen to assassinate the bandit leader, I get into the tent and all three options result in him killing me instantly. This one, I suppose, could be because I just don’t have enough in my other skills…maybe there’s no way for a pure bard to pull that ending quest off?

@Raishi_Kytori Eloquence doesn’t help you in any of these situations.

One of the options to make the bandit talk require very high compassion, another very high order and a third very high freedom, figure out youself which one is which.

You need some prowess or subterfuge to capture Milius in the tent.

How do you get to an 8 Legendary Status in Prowess, so far I’ve only managed it with will, and Isan as my mentor

What will the second installment be named?

Kill Dragon with Sword, Squire, become a Squire at the Town, take the Warrior Ring after the third task, then get the sword.

Your appropriate ‘legendary’ weapon boosts you up one as does the various rings.

I can never figure out the second part of the tests to get the legendary sword

@Nickwm79nc From what I recall you need to choose the choices that correspond with your stats. (And not what you think is the right answer).

On my last play through I was at like 80% order and I choose to go to the dead king first then choose the image of the ruler and it still said that I choose wrong

@Nickwm79nc I can’t remember the specifics of the questions and what corresponds to what stats. I don’t have a current copy of the game so I can’t check either. I’m sure one of the other players can point you in the right direction though.

@Nickwm79nc In the second padt of the test you must choose

which future your MC doesn’t want. And a person with 80% order is not opposed to become a ruler.

On the contrary. The character I’m carrying on to game 2 never saw the Sanctuary and she made it into apprenticeship just fine.

Eloquence is the key. Just convince him to take an apprentice.

Oh, yeah, that way too. I just prefer to stay with Prowess at the start since it helps in the Chalice quest. I don’t think the Apprentice ever needs eloquence, unless you want max fame.

i did update the game and now i cant get legendary stats, i get 7+2 with the kendrick sword (and yes i have been always a squire, ring of power etc…) it seems i cant get 8 legendary stats…

Elequence is also good for talking your way out of things if you would prefer to avoid violence. You don’t recover the chalice if you are an eloquent wizard, but its really not worth much anyways. Especially since the sling is useless for the wizard, and the street pass is only worth one gold. I played half eloquence half magic, and was still rolling in loot by the end.

Briefly broke top 200 paid games in iTunes app store, not too shabby!

The way to get legendary Will is to have a Will of at least 4, then apprentice to Isan, then get the amulet and the scholar ring. Viola!

Who says? innocent grin

have you read my message at all? with the update 1.0.4 i cant get legendary +8 stats, i do get 7(+2) but not +8 legendary stats, and i know how to get those stats you dont need to tell me ;), i did get legendary stats before @Cataphrak changed the stats screen with that new update

Messing around more on the Razorback quest. With basic woodcrafting I can track it down to its lair, but no matter what it seems that using woodcraft can’t let you read its intentions (Starting as shepherd and reading a book only merits +2, which isn’t enough it seems). Is there a way of finding out more without using magic?

It doesn’t feel like a ‘perfect’ run if I can’t do all requests, plus you can just take the gold for some extra spending money.

I have questions about a couple of achievements.

  1. Wisdom and Fire. I’ve been trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong when working with Isan. I’ve completed all of his miscellaneous and main quests and still only end with 74% loyalty. I gain like +7 when I retrieve the Razorclaw arm. And gain +17 when returning the amulet. However, I get nothing else when retrieving the magic stone from that teleport place. Is there any thing I’m missing from getting more loyalty points?

  2. Lawful Good. I’ve ended the game with Compassion at 96% and Order at 91%, while working with Dame Mildred. Is Lawful Good tied to these stats? Do you have to 100% both stats? Haven’t tried Chaotic Evil yet, but I’m guessing I’d have to opposite.
