[Spoiler]The scene in the hotsprings reminded me of P3, it would’ve been a lot a’fun were the teams able to interact with each other too.
I’m excited to see how my Kitty and her team’ll react to what she had to do, and what happens after. Though it would’ve been nice to be given a choice on that last bit before having gone straight to sleep; They did have a team mate almost ruthlessly killed right before their eyes, it wouldn’t hurt to check on.

You did good with Badlands. I’ll be waiting for the next update
@jcsunshine_3 thanks for all the feedback it definitely wasn’t too much lol and I’m working on redoing the fight scenes to try and make them more enjoyable for players as well, I also wanna input more interaction between players and their teammates as well. I don’t know how to input a save system right now but i think I’ll look into it, if I can’t figure it out though I’ll probably just use a choice to allow players to jump around from scene to scene instead of restarting the entire game.
@ab2wus those are some interesting ideas and would provide more depth into the story I’ll think about how I could fit that in.
I am currently stuck on the Chapter 5 fight where I have to fight Stiletto. I have chosen every option possible but every time it results with him sinking his knife in my chest. What am I doing wrong?
Yeah, this is something that was being complained about upthread…
I think you can get up to ~45, but that requires you to play your character a specific way (you have to show off your powers at just about every opportunity), which rather defeats the purpose of the CYOA medium.
Yep, @ParrotWatcher has the right of this, due to the fact that you need to raise the power stat and one, but only one, of the other mains stats if we want to get to the end of the WiP, at present, it means most of this game’s choices will effectively be “fake” choices since taking them leads to outright bad ends, with the mc invariably failing and getting killed.
Which is too bad, because this one does show a good bit of promise, though I believe the author is in the process of rewriting it and re-balancing the stats.
Hey guys just wanna update the thread so it doesn’t get forgotten, I’m still working on the updated version of fight scenes and the new system for controlling your Gift.
Writing this super huge update has given me so many different ideas on how to use and revitalize the stats during skill checks at fight scenes and things. Sometimes it’s a bit overwhelming trying to write the code for all of the different possibilities that are now available. So far the update has almost 3K addition of words to it. Which I know doesn’t sound like a lot but given how semi complex the code is becoming it feels like a lot lol. Anyways I’ve only barely scratched the surface of this update so far.
I estimate the full update to be about 15K words in new content which will hopefully add to replayability, continuity, immersion, and fun for the game.
I hope you guys love it as much as I hope you do, look for an update around the 1st Week of October possibly and hopefully it’ll be done or almost done by then. Anyways that’s it for this super long and pointless post. Stay tuned guys, peace out!
Not exactly, or at least not how your thinking. Your powers will have the opportunities to evolve as you learn more about them. And they don’t necessarily do the things your MC thinks it does @Shadowslayer
