The riddle speaker seems like a dragon. You used wyrm is game but that didn’t work, three pointed haft refers to an arrow obvious the bane if dragons. It and fletcher didn’t work, am I on the right track here?
I’m thoroughly confused about the last few lines though.
"I be liars bane,
Cunning and crafty, though kindness they may feign,
Yet only seeking personal gain,
In pitch forever they shall remain,"
No idea what this is referring to though.
Like I said to faewkless before, the answer is closest to the category of person.
If whatever you choose doesn’t fit the qualifications given (e.g. smile most dire etc.) it most likely is incorrect.
That’d have to be one really OP arrow to kill a dragon though.
One arrow did kill Smaug.
It is a pretty hard riddle, so it is closest to being a person, the answer. I still don’t know though might have some ideas.
Well, half riddle, half puzzle (now anywho), more correctly.
Words of advice: simply analyzing one part in and of itself won’t help you overmuch, looking over the entire thing on the other hand… let’s put it this way, there’s a reason I added, changed, and wrote what I did.
Ok guys, I basically stumbled upon the correct answer to the riddle, and I’m kinda confused about it. Should I say what it is, or do you guys want to continue speculating?
Edit: I googled it, and the answer makes sense now.

I tried for like 20 minute to figure it out, and finally got frustrated and just entered @Malebranche’s user name, and it worked. Didn’t make any sense to me until I googled it.

Also,I love this demo,the writting is awesome,and finally some love for steampunk genre.

I’m still playing it, but so far my only complaint is that after the riddle the game goes way too long before presenting another choice, and there’s a number of spots already there that would be perfect to insert choices.

I thought he might have put his name as an answer but I thought “oh he wouldn’t do that thats too obvious” -starts flipping every table in a one mile radius-
