Wow. Come on to talk about the new Walking Dead, and see so much batman.
Um, I’mma just whine for a second?
Anyone else wondering what the hell happened to Christa?
I was asking that the whole two ep of the new season.

Well since we are apparently forced straight its what I’m doing since it does feel better. The game didnt feel any sort of lacking without the romance and Selina is actualy a good friend now and it fit pretty well. In a way betraying two face would have been a d*ck move and its even worst considering I’m not even attracted to this person. She’s cool but she’s too much trouble to date. It was nice of them to allow us not to feel attracted to her.
Though I must mention that “its just to stir up controversy” and “unnececary changes” dont really sound like Good points to be honest. I heard that kind of stuff enough from actual homophobic peoples who wanted to use the status quo as an argument to feel confidant that its probably the main feeling behind the argument. At least in my eyes.
And also again it depend on wich comic you speak of. Attraction to cat woman will depend on who wrote the comic you’re reading. Nothing in the super hero universe is set in stone and everything is canon until the next guy come along.
We never get a definite answer to whether she’s dead or alive maybe we’ll find out as season 3 moves along.
Was she still pregnant the last time we saw her?
No, she wasn’t. From beginning s2 to the skip, Christa seems to have lost the baby, and there’s no mention of it. Maybe she miscarried due to stress from Omid’s death? That’s what I assumed.
Also, the time gap between the two was…18 months I think?
They were together for a really long time- longer than Clem and Lee, I think.
You’d think Clem wouldn’t forget about her.
I hope she returns. I really liked her and Omid.
Also, any theories about AJ? I think the New Frontier is holding him hostage or something, so Clem has to drag new peeps in to trade.
ALSO: I played with the background where Clem went alone. For people who went with Kenny/Jane, were there any mentions of them/were they in cutscenes?
Jane death really killed me. I didnt expect that twist to be honest. My brother went with kenny and something happen to him too. What happen when you go alone?
And yeah I’m sure AJ is there too. Did you choose to go with the branded or did reject the lady offer? I accepted it because they didnt seem completely evil and some people from the new frontier gave me vibes that it wasnt exactly how it seem.
I head-canon Clem as looking out for her own. I couldn’t see her as saying no to a much needed food offer for herself and AJ when she’s in an area surrounded by zombies, with only one friendly in sight.
My problem is, that had we actually played all that, it could have turned out waaay differently.
I see Clem just getting AJ a pacifier for all times. Like, there, crying baby while running around solved.
And what was stopping her for going with, and if they say she can’t get supplies unless she joins, Clem just bails? Or if they offer food, she takes it, then goes?
And when did she find Prescott? And fricking killing that guy?
…my Clem would have never been so quick at making decisions on anger- she should have learnt that by seeing how Kenny failed.
GOSH DARN IT CLEM, YOU USED TO BE SO MUCH MORE BADASS WHEN I CONTROLLED YOU.
(I miss playing as her so bad D: )
I miss playing her too but I honestly dont mind it. I think Javier is a really fun character and I kinda connect with the guy on many points.
That said I agree that controlling clem while she’s with new frontier would have been really nice too. They might just allow that next episode though.
I’m glad they’re doing the switch back and forth at least.
I like Javier too, but I just have a very huge soft-spot for Clem, which will be made worse with the fact that I’ll believe I could houdini Clem out of any situation- and the only reason she’s in these problems now is BECAUSE she’s not the main character.
Like when she almost dies, ten minutes after seeing her, and Javier saves her. On one hand I’m like: THANKS BRO, YOU SWAG. On the other: WTF CLEM OMW SINCE WHEN YOU SUCH A PHAIL
Soo…yeah
Also, I’m weirded out by how Javier gets with his (assumed) dead bro’s wife, and the kids are so fine with it. ‘Oh, my uncle is getting with my step-mom. Yep. Totally cool’.
I will admit though, they’ve been on the road for 4 years, there probably was a blow-up at some point where the kids wtf’ed, but we’ve passed that now.
…still
You dont have to romance her at all actualy. You can spurr each of her advances.
I’m aiming for an aromantic playtrought so he doesnt get his heart crushed under a truck.
Also I wanna f*ck tripp. Not my style but he did something to me. Screw you and your big heart tripp.
That’s true, I guess.
I think I read into it, as their relationship was established as the two being together, because the kids call them the ‘parents’.
Hrm. shrug
Tripp is too nice though. Dunno how he’s still around, what with Clem traipsing in and out, raising hell.
It might be just me, but it seems like they are definitely setting up for a love pentagle(?) with Javi.
Assuming they don’t ice Kate, and her husband now on the scene, as well as Eleanore’s attraction to Javi, and Tripp’s relationship with her…
I do NOT want Gabe with Clem though.
…I swear if they force that on us…
Like, I want Javier to be able to encourage Gabe, and we can be Clem and go: NO WAY.
My Clem liked Luke.
Then he cheated on her.
And because he cheated, he died.
Clem happy to be alone now.
I feel like this might be something we have to deal with eventualy. I can only think about the quote from episode 1 “when you start getting boners the whole world get dark”
Its an hilarious quote but hormones are definitely a problem we will have to deal with considering Gabe is in the middle of his growth and spent all of his time repressed alone in the van. He might get wrong ideas about clem just being sociable and cause problems in the future because of un-mutual feelings.
OoOo, that’s a good point.
Gabe is crazy enough as is.
But, hell, if he just turns into Duck or Ben, I’m going to throw a tantrum. We’ve had way too many pathetic male kids/teens.
For that matter, given how he acted towards Kate, I wouldn’t be surprised if Gabe didn’t have some awkward emotions to his step-mom as well.
The vibes I got from him tell me it might be a break or pass situation. He threatenend conrad with a weapon but Gabe clearly look up to us a lot and I feel like how bad he will be will depend on how much we actualy care for the kid.
I connect with Gabe because we have very similar fathers and the kid is clearly lonely but want to help. In the end I hope we can do with gabe like how lee did with clementine.
That would be cool. He has potential, but he’s really hot headed.
I think though, that he’s at an awkward age, and the fact that he’s only been with family- and that they’re all still managing, tells the tale of him not seeing the worst of what can happen, and while he’s not Sarah sheltered, he is…ugh, he’s not Clem.
Still, I had Javier be very sweet to him, so we’re a team there.
I like playing the contrasts between Clem and Javier. My Clem is built on the motto of independence and survival, and killed off Kenny, then went alone, though she loved him dearly, and he taught her about family- which is what she has in common with Javier, but that’s where it ends.
He respects other people, is a sweet talker, and rapidly trusts Clementine and others, if it means getting to his family as fast as he can.
I do wonder how the various Clementine backgrounds affect what story we have so far though- anyone noted anything? I’m too lazy to do a second playthrough.
My Clem seem to be a good person but have a lot of problems trusting peoples and was raised by Jane to be a survivalist so she’s not a bad person but she’s impulsive and very mistrustful.
My brother Clem didnt seem so different but I didnt watch him play so I wouldnt know.
My Javier honestly just want to make out the best out of the end. He want to save as many peoples as possible and is ready to die to this end but wont act suicidal either (went with my family instead of staying to fight in the first episode. He recognise that Clem only need herself to survive but the others needed protection and comfort.)
Good point mentioning he wasnt changed by the apocalypse yet too. I can only think about the scene where Gabe say that parents like to pretent that kids dont hear then and then Clementine answer by saying that she wouldnt know.
Clementine is a children of the apocalypse. It changed her and forged what she is now unlike Gabe who was more of a bystander to it until now. He is not yet changed by what changed Clem and I feel that depending on how we teach and treat him he might end up different
I don’t mind that they changed Clem to a side character in this season but if this keep up then there’s a very good chance she won’t even show up in the 4th one - that’s just a reality we will have to deal with if it ever comes to pass. As for Javier, he may not be what people wanted but I personally connected to him if anything due to his family issues - its not easy dealing with domestic violence and having a family member that is akin to a loose canon with mood swings.
I think given enough time people will come to like him nearly as much as they liked the originals (Lee, Kenny, Clem, etc). But if there’s one thing I half expect from the Walking Dead series is that no character sticks around for long. I think the next one should be a criminal family, maybe dysfunctional and crazy, maybe not. I think it would be cool to see the Walking Dead universe from a bandit’s prespective - pratically immoral people who do anything to survive and care only for their own well being. Always being a goody-shoes character who trust everyone, its bound to backfire at some point… maybe with real consequences.
Tbh I would love that just to try and be as good as possible without getting shot in the face by my own father. I connect with Javier for pretty much the same reasons as you but fortunately it didnt leave too many bad stuff so I dont mind dealing with these subjects. Being able to fight against it feels great.
Being a member of a group of bandit could be really interesting since its rarely approached and when it is, they end up being rebels more than actual criminals. I would still try to bring order and peace in the group but at the same time I would have to scheme to take out the loose canons of the group. Imagine having to take out a close member of your family because their personal interests or behavior challenge your leadership too much.
