Loved it and loved Haze in particular too.
I also like Valentine quite a lot.

My canon mc ended up with Haze of course and surprisingly both he and Haze ended up with relatively “honest” jobs, even if Haze coming from the wealth that he does technically has no need of it. Haze even ended up seeing a doctor of his own choosing of his own volition. My mc ended up being a writer for and currently the biographer of the good Colonel, all while frustrating the inner circle. Well done @Gower.

My second mc ended up, no real surprise there, with Valentine in the US of A as a cohabiting (presumably), same-sex, showbiz couple. Which leads me to wonder, since I haven’t yet peaked at the code, but can the mc and Valentine, provided they are opposite-sex actually become a married acting couple?
Given the implied rising acting career, I also wonder if, besides butlers, Hollywood will also increasingly begin to tap the mc as a villain actor, since we know how much Hollywood has always loved upper-class British accents for their villains? Also in the case of my second mc him still trying to help his hapless former employer as a valet of over long distance snail mail really made me. As did his fanmail to Fifi Buttercup.

I’ve tried to get a Valentine ending, and we have a really high relationship (I think it was over 90) and he says he loves me and everything, but then I just end up… not with him in the epilogue. Could you give me some tips on how you managed to get together with Valentine? Thank you

@ninja. I got the same ending as well, with only a Rory relationship grayed out and I’m so confused. Could someone help me with this?

Mmm…I’ll have to have a look when I have more time, but generally when I go after an RO a try to spend every possible, figurative minute the game allows me with them.
It’s possible you either missed a scene or did something that caused a flag to either not be set or set incorrectly in the game.

I think you need to be at least willing to lose the boat race in order get Valentine to really connect with the Hollywood producers in order to get their/the Hollywood ending.

If Rory is going to be married, you cannot have a one-on-one relationship with him/her at the end, alas. Could that be the issue?

No, actually i managed to get in relationship with rory without frankincense. All i have to do is choose to be with rory in every chance i got and help mopsie (but with reason that i only helping her because of rory asked mc to). Also be bold and straightforward to him/her that i want to be his/her lover

Ahh, that makes sense. I definitely didn’t do that. I was kind of annoyed that he wasn’t paying attention to the race and didn’t take him seriously. Didn’t think it would affect the ending (if that’s what did it, since I made sure to do everything else with him, like you suggested). I’ll have to try it, thank you!! So, do the Hollywood producers actually show interest in him?

T_T was hoping he’d drop her for me. It’s weird that the selection was grayed out.

I dunno, that definitely did that. Wasn’t wishy-washy at all in my choices when pursuing him. I wonder if my really high relationship with Frankincense had anything to do with it. Would you happen to remember your relationship score with her?

I think my relationship with her is around 50-60. Oh also i don’t help rory to impress frankicense ( why her name is so hard to remember help me)

I’ve just made a small adjustment to that choice so that you won’t see grayed out choices. You may even have the opportunity to say you only want to be with Rory (or Frankincense) there, and then you get to have your heart broken. The patch won’t go live for a bit, though.

As much praise as I have for this game, there are bits of lexigraphical ambiguity that hinder my ability to cogitate the choice I deem to be most suited, given my repertoire of skill.

That is to say, sometimes it’s confusing to find which stat is used with which option, or if combinations of stats are being used.

I’m a bit stuck with Frankincense’s romance, supposedly I must have done something wrong. Can somebody who have done their romance please give me a few pointers?

So, having replayed the game over three times… hell i love it so much!! I noticed something like a mistake?

When you realize in the beginning, while discussion of the Frankenstein comes up, that you are in love with Rory. Later, when she gets dressed, you have two options. One, where you comment how beautifully she looks. And second the same but then it says that you realise you are in love with her.

It seemed strange for me since i already choice it in the beginning and i don’t think i need second realization.

I will take a look at that. Thanks!

Edit: The Frankenstein!!

Double edit: Bug found and fixed–will go out with next patch. Thanks so much for finding that!

Oh, you’re the author!!! I didn’t see that part. Thank you for such a lovely story! Played three times in one day and enjoyed every moment until the end, as I was supremely bummed to get neither with Valentine or Rory after it looking as if I had it in the bag. Did manage to get Haze, that lovely SOB. But yeah, I enjoyed it all so much. Hands down one of my favorite in the entire selection of choices and hosted games. Thank you

Not that this issue is exclusive to this game, but I agree. It would be nice to know how the stats are affecting the options as sometimes I have no idea how they’re even relevant. IIRC, Choices of Robots had a (+/-) system with each choice and I personally thought that was helpful. Also it’d be nice to get a little memo as to why certain options are grayed out (not high enough X, etc.)

Also, I unfortunately don’t have a screenshot of this, and to be honest, by the second replay I was mad breezing through some parts, but it seems that even when I wasn’t actively pursuing Haze and we didn’t have any romantic entanglements prior in the gameplay (I went after Valentine then Rory, in that order), all of a sudden you get two options in which you can either 1) do something I can’t remember or 2) wax poetic about your love for Haze. Being curious, I clicked option 2, and got an entire page worth of the MC doing just that, which felt slightly out of place since my interaction with him/her had been at a bare minimum.

Also, is there a way to not get Figs and Mopsie together, or better yet, push Figs down a deep well and leave him there until the end of time? Cuz I seriously dislike that dude.

If you come across that bit with Haze again, let me know, and I’ll take a look at it.

And yes, you can definitely sabotage the Figs and Mopsie relationship!
