Sordwin by Thom Baylay

I don’t remember it exactly, but it began the same way as the breakup talk, so I figured that’s what it would be. I joked around per usual, and then it just didn’t go that way. I’m gonna try to get it again, but I remember him saying something about wanting to move in with me instead of staying at the hotel back in Lux (where he’d usually try to break up with me.) After that, it boosted our relationship stat up to 100.

I wish I’d saved screenshots of the epilogue, but I do have some of my final stats/final “story so far”.

oh, you mean how it still started with D staring at the rum bottle but (after the “lame weapon name” comment), immediately asking when you’ll “move us out of the hotel” rather than D offering you a glass of rum? I played it through recently with having both the pirate & winter with D, but as long as I say (after Winter hanky panky) something about “well that was fun but I’d rather it be just us two from now on”, it seems to be enough to work to avoid break up talk

it’s true, the Winter hanky-panky offering is hard to get around without at least getting a rise of emotions; but it’s actually a great, varying point (really, some of D’s responses to the same exact questions/comments vary depending upon what you say first) that you can maneuver through a “relationship discussion” instead of hanky-panky, avoiding break-up chat at the end anyway.

I did say something about that at one point towards the end, after the Winter & D threesome. That must be it.

Wow i never knew you could maneuver away from the breakup talk . I’m on vacation now but I’m definitely replaying it after to try that :grin:

I have always gotten the happy Dandy ending…and I did playthroughs where I didnt cheat, did cheat, did the threesomes, didn’t do the threesomes, etc.

What did you guys do to get the breakup to stick? (So I never do it , as it would break my freaking heart…but I am super curious now!)

I don’t know whether that was a bug or not, I flirt with Orion whenever I had chance, when finally the final fight get to the…outpost?(sorry that word slip from my mind) I always failed until one playthrough, I got one of my stats reach the standard, so I got there without detour, but I don’t have a chance to choose who goes there with me, though it’s Dandy automatically help me fight the final boss, so in the end…Dandy just broke up with me.

Thank you, I definitely never did that series if events. Totally makes sense now!

Dandy has gone with me to the boss battle every time I play with him except for this last one. That could have an affect on it, in the one where I got the happy ending, he never fought with me & the hooded lantern leader in the end.

When you get to the breakup scene, when he says something along the lines of “How do I know you won’t die and break my heart”, if you say that you love him, it’ll make the breakup stick.

Took me a while but I think I finally realised why Ruby isn’t a popular RO at all… Or at least what’s my problem with her:

So this is literally the first page I read about her and all we get here is her basic description. Based on this we are supposed to choose how we feel about her? At least if we could pick our MCs opinion about Ruby after the chat with her that’d already make it better.

Nice observation!

I believe this is true. We didn’t really form much of a connection with her before being given a choice.

I also believe part of it is due to the other ROs being more “stereotypical” forms of love interests (they are still written and executed really well though, in my opinion) such as O and Gunther being stoic and “hard to get” love interests, while L and D plays up the classic Betty and Veronica.

I’ve never thought of that before. I never really pursued Ruby, I guess she’s always just been in the back of my mind when I play.

On an unrelated note, I just finally got a new laptop. I’ve purchased Sordwin & Evertree Inn on my phone in the Googleplay store, but is there any way to restore purchases on my PC to have it on both platforms?

What platform did you get them in PC? As far as I recall, they are tied to the account you bought it from.

Edit Strike that. You could only request to unlock the CoG website version of the games by emailing the Google receipt to CoG email support.

See, I always loved Ruby right away…but I am a straight gal MC so I am just her flirty buddy, usually. (Also, just TRY and pry Dandy out of my cold dead HANDSSSS!!) Her initial description and interactions always made me fond of her immediately. I am surprised she isnt a more popular ro! !Now I am gonna go and romance the crap out of her, so she gets some love :heart::heart:

I like Ruby, and I’ll probably romance her in Lux (with another MC, because my elf Kayla is semi-secretly crazy in lerv with Daisy!)–if that’s even possible–just to learn more about her. So far, about her personality I only got that she’s kinda motherly and grounded (despite sea legs :))… slow to get in a relationship maybe because of her past partner(halfling friend?) whose name escapes me…T-something?

You have to say ’ you have to give me your heart first’ or something along those lines.

That’s for getting him to stay with you, I was talking about getting the breakup to stick.
