Thanks for the detailed explanation! I’ll certainly try this out once I get the chance.

For Therko you have to have his affection the highest always. On one of my playthroughs with him I got what you got, the first time he seemed to accept but when you go to conform the second time he rejected me.
When you make choices always go along with Therko. I managed to have a romance with him in the end with that method.

Alexius can also return to the modern world, if you keep his transformation from finishing (when he gets succumbed by vines for a second time) but he will remain a flower boy.

Edit: thank you for showing me how to add spoilerbrackets correctly

A nonspoilery question regarding Losh: Is there any in-game explanation/ story/ trivia why he sings so much in the game? It strikes me as a cool and surprising trait without any consequences, so I’d love to know if you found any consequences or explanations of this!

(I’m also new to the forum and read the thread and your thoughts were really interesting and entertaining!)

Your thoughts also made me wonder: Shadow heart sounds like a really vague achievement (also, it isn’t even listed as a visible or hidden achievement … at least on android) could it mean that Stralcus is also a RO?
I think he is sort of equally evil as Keimia (if you don’t recruit her), so I was just wondering.

Third: Regarding the person that asked about the male RO:
Flower boy & Muscle Man are not bad! Alexius is cool regarding the fact that he is so different depending on how you treat him, treat the world etc - Therko … is kind of underwhelming. When I romanced him, he always seemed to have more potential than actually played through.
Vecla, Control, Alexius have different interesting paths, though.

Also … is there ever a path in which Dr.Sabbatine
Or Control turn evil? Played through that game so many times now and never triggered anything like that, even when I reject to pay?

I didn’t realise there is an achievement of Shadow Heart
Hmmmm , as far as i know Stralcus is not an RO, and well…i would think Stralcus is more evil than Keimia , because Stralcus is a Zealot since the beginning , he already had intention to preach his version of the teaching about Icons…he was crazed about it due to personal greed and glorification , that’s the reason he would want to control the power of Icons and shape the world in his own vision .

As for Keimia, she was influenced by the false icon because she actually care about her world , instead of wanting to conquer it … it was her fear that her world will be gone if the false icon is banish, because the silverworld was created solely by the might of the False Icon … and that’s the reason Keimia was still able to be persuaded , and it was actually logical … Keimia will only trust us that the False Icon is Evil only if we reject it all the way, it is something like when we are telling our friend that the head master is evil, but at the same time… we are willing to take offer from the head master for personal gain ( such as better grade ), so how are we going to convince our friend that the head master is truly evil if we ourselves have split loyalty ?

And there is no evil path for Control and Dr Sabbatine… they are just too kind …Lol

The most important thing for Dr Sabbatine is science , not power

although in the end, if you take the prince’s offer as a history enforcer , you need to prevent science from opening that portal again, so maybe we have a conflict with Sabbatine in the future ?

Losh’s singing ??? I thought singing is a common hobby for those who live their life in a more primitive/ natural way …hmmm so i never felt it was out of place

Regarding the singing it just struck me as curious because the other villagers do not tend to do it, only Losh, but maybe I overinterpreted this.

What a shame, but I guess it makes sense for Sabbatine and Control not to turn evil.

Regarding Keimia and Stralcus: I think it easier to apologize Keimia’s craze than Stralcus, but trey actually act really similiar: Straclus is a slave to the Icons whereas Keimia is a slave to the false Icon. While we do get to see Keimias downfall and sympathise with her more due to common ground (both having the dreams and being introduced to the false icon as a false icon) and it is easier to excuse her actions/ betrayal, Stralcus is born into a society surrounded by rash, religious believes. The dialogue shows that he truly believes to do the morally and logically right thing (even if we know that his ways are misguided), so can you really claim that he is worse than Keimia? They are equally insane ans misguided (until you get to turn Keimia on your side or reveal to Stralcus were he went wrong with the tongue of the Icons).

Another question I’d have is: is there any explanation to who build the ophedian’s fortress? Is it implied that the false icon did it, or am I wrong? (Since the Mound is a shard of the icon and the temple of the Mound resembles the fortress? Are there two Mounds? So many questions! :D)

You made good points
i would believe it is depending on the actual “drive” and “motivation” of an Antagonist to determine whether he/she can be redeem … Keimia’s drive is mainly based on “fear”, “insecurity” and “caring” (she care too much of her people and her world to an extend that, she just want to give up caring), hence it is more likely she will be turn back to the side of good once these worries and factors had been dealt with, of course it also require high charisma of the protagonist and the relationship between them

As for Stralcus, whose main motivation is “power”, “greed” and self proclaimed “vision” , it will be quite difficult if not impossible to turn them back to the “right”, mainly because the ultra motives of such individuals are hard to please… example of such individuals are the long list of historical and legendary Emperors , Kings, Generals and leaders whose main purpose of their existence is their ambitions or in their own word …“vision” , even though protagonist may try to convince them of their wrong doing, ultimately they will give you variety reasons of why they “need” to complete their visions, which is to shape a world based on their own image …in the end we can only choose to join their cause to assist them in whatever they aim to achieve , this only works if a protagonist is less prideful and volunteering in following the antagonist way

I would think if the drive of the antagonist is vengeance , it is still easier to achieve than the drive of power, because in the end, the vengeance where an antagonist seek can still be accomplish , but the motive of power is difficult to fill, since there is always more worlds and more lands to cover for the antagonist’s goal…

about the ophedian’s fortress, i would think it was build with the intelligent and scientific mind of the ophedians themselves , although the false icon may land a hand here and there, because it was mention that Ophedians are great scientist themselves who can learn and use advance technology fluently :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh those are really good points! I guess I have seen Stralcus more like a caught-in-his-religious-believes type of antagonist. After all, he has been learning his whole life about the icons and the false icon. He tries to oppose it by all means and forgets moral restrictions while he is doing that. In case the false icon wins, his world would not exist anymore, either, so I do not think he is motivated by power, but by the fear that his “real” world will suffer from the “fake world” or even vanish. From his point of view, all misdeeds and crimes like slavery he does are legitimate, because they are only done during a nightmare, in a false vision/ world.

So that is why I see Keimia ans Stralcus as simliarly motivated: They both fear to lose their world.

Oh, gee, wow… After Keimia romance, I tried to get Control and Vella’s going but I -always- restarted the game in the scene after the first mission when you try looking for then but ‘ends up disappointed’ because they’re busy or something…

I thought that would be different unless you had around 85+ in relationship with them, but there was -always- a choice lowering relationship back to 82 or 79, when trying to go for it :sob: So that’s how the scene is supposed to play? No romantic interaction other than ending up ‘disappointed’ at that point?

I tried to be clever with false one and tried to exploit any weakness it has. But the game treats me like I have promised the false one to help it. After the time machine is properly fixed, I tried to tell people that I want to destroy the gray mountain, but the false one controls me and force me to say that I want to let the gray mountain fall.

I think there is a stat controlling that scene, but i am not sure… some playthrough i manage to resist the False one even though i sort of make a bargain with it but sometime i had been control by it …

However, i do think it is logic… even though we thought we can trick an entity by “lying” about our intention , but in the end we could be tainted by it…
Just like a spy or secret agent in criminal organisation , sometime the spy will be tainted and turn rogue

I am not sure what stat is controlling the scene. Even after I rejected the false icon the game still thinks I promised to help it. And when I choose to destroy the gray mountain the game said now I have to pay the price… I am not sure what is happening…

Well… you need to say no everytime the false god talk to you
And that’s also the requirement to romance Keimia…

I am pretty sure I said no three times… and that’s probably the times the false icon will try to contact you.
Btw… about keimia…
There were 3 parts needed for time machine…
Cog
Crystal
Chart
As far as I know, only in chart mission we can encounter keimia. But I couldn’t encounter her since I always choose to sneak in.

I thought she will wait at the entrance ? I manage to convinve her to betray the snake people , she ran away but we meet again in the portal…

Then i romance with her before the final battle , her scene was cute because she will follow me from behind for the final battle

The walkthrough is at the top post, perhaps you can scroll up have a look ?

How to romance Kiemia

Her romance starts really really late, in the middle of the final battle. In the mean time, do not romance anyone else (duh).
First, recruit her.

Step 1, convince her. This can be done in two ways:

When getting the tabulation chart, tell her “you don’t have to serve the False icon”. If you have high charisma and relationship >60 with her and aren’t serving the false icon yourself, she will turn against the snake people.

In the three way standoff with Stralchus and Keimia, say “I know you don’t want any of this”, and tell her to step aside (requires 60 valor or 65 charisma, plus Keimia relationship > 60).

If you’ve done either of these, then in chapter 12, after Control says, “We should attempt at least one strike at one of our enemies while we still have the time.”, there should be the option to contact Keimia and recruit her.

In chapter 12, in the middle of fighting the ziggurat/false icon, where the other ROs have their scene:

I seek out Kiemia
Tell her how I feel (requires showing interest previously)
Pull myself up the tree
You can escape this world (requires planning to go home)
If someone makes this work, let us know :rat:

I have done these things…

  1. Introducing myself to her
  2. In the village I talk to her about my whereabouts
  3. Told her that I want to go home even if I have to go through false icon
  4. After she killed the mound, I asked her why instead of trying to kill her
  5. In TEST chapter I talk to her first, but she refused to listen. So In order to finish the fight I attack her apes so they will trample her.
  6. In chart mission I DIDN’T encounter her.
  7. I convince her to stand aside in three way standoff.

I never encountered her again …she was there in the final battle but she was on the ground while I was in the air.

After you return from the rift, you should have an option to go looking for her

So, there’s a way to save the airship from explode? Or the ones who are inside?

To keep it from exploding, yes, though I do not quite recall it. I think the MC has to try to control it with Control or something like that, but I do not recall it savely

Buuut so far I have not managed to keep the crew members from suiciding
