So I actually have a minor complaint plus a suggestion.

I think that your physicality+weapon training+weapon tier should allow you to do enough damage to the second Faceless demon so that you can then make it cease existing without using a word should you magic stat be enough.

Cause it kinda sucks that, unless you start as an astral class, you have to spend 2 time slots upping astral to 20+ so you can set the demon on fire.

And in my current Conjury playthrough, I unlocked gambling early, got enough money to buyout the shop. Which includes getting the legendary. And its pretty nonsensical that 20+ astral magic stat does MORE dmg to the demon than my 100 gun stat double barreled shotgun.

Battle Mage theoretically has a massive advantage against other magic classes.

1st: Astral magic. I already got into in my last post, being at a +2 time slot advantage over arcane and psionic on top of a Word advantage due to the second faceless demon stuff.

2nd, and this is the BIGGEST point of mine: Battle magic also has a huge stat advantage.

Cause its like this. Say you get a legendary weapon early, like I did by finessing the gambling. Your weapon stat is at 100 straight. But say you still want to train you physicality stat? Well guess what, cause your weapon stat is already at 100, you’re at a net negative point gain cause you can’t train your weapon stat anymore. You’d ONLY be upping physicality.

Meanwhile, battle magic can be trained instead of your weapon stat. See what Im getting at? Cause just like that, you’re not longer wasting those weapon stats from training physicality, it instead goes into the astral stat.

And that’s an issue. A battle mage can train a sub magic stat like arcane or psionic FOR FREE because it can use the physicality training to bump it instead of the magic training. And yeah its not as much as if you were training it with magic, but that doesnt matter. You’re still at a huge net positive for stat gain.

Am I making any sense? I will add a caveat that I’ve only played as a Battle Mage and Conjurer(and Im still not done with Conjurer currently), so I could ABSOLUTELY be talking out my ass like a lunatic.

In the coin (brl) of my country its 30$ bucks, love the game, but, its not a price i can pay for a wip… even one as this good

note: im NOT sayin the autor is to blame, the politicians of my country is to take the duck xD

Thats understandable. I always feel like I’m getting kicked in the crotch when the author uses British Pounds and the NZD conversion rate is practically tripled on a good day. Their tumblr is littered with short story’s, lore and answered questions about the characters so I’d definitely suggest checking it out if you’re interested :slight_smile:

Oh damn been a while since I saw this game up here. Amazed to hear the total project is getting so massive, especially with the quality showed in the demo. Hope to hear some news about it soon, keep up the good work!

So I’m not sure if the author is aware and I am not reading through all those comments, tis a lot, but when you try to load a saved file it loads it as the stats screen but it thinks its the game?

Idk if this is the correct way to mention bugs or errors so if I’m not doing this right feel free to tell me.

You probably saved it on the stat screen, so it went back there. It’s a common bug with games on that site. There’s nothing that can be done about it, sadly, just have to remember not to save on the stat screen.

As kzv has said its common error of the save system on the site i would add dont save before or after pages if wanting to check stat screen it can also bug out wip games sometimes.

Nope, I made sure to not do that b/c I’ve made that mistake one to many times and had to start all over on so many demo’s it makes me grind my teeth just thinking about it :grimacing:

Though I could have done it too quickly between going from stat page to the actual game? I try to at least save after making one choice from switching screens but my hand moves faster than my brain sometimes.

sometimes it happens if you save on the same page after exiting the stat screen, its really annoying.

basically dont save or load in the stat screen, or on the same page after exiting. took me some time to drill it into my head :joy:

Question, how can mc get a familiar? I think it’s if they specialize as a wild-mage

Yes, Wild-Mages can get a familiar during their day off (I’m not sure if this is shown in the main chapters though). The conditions for that are that they need to specialize as a Wild-Mage (like you already said, haha), have at least 30 in Psionic magic, and have properly spent time with Tallys once and accompanied her to the Autarch’s menagerie. This will then unlock the option to go to the menagerie on days off, and depending on which group of animals your mage spends their time with will determine the type of familiar they have. (I’m guessing the familiar can change if the MC continues to go to the menagerie during their days off and visits with a different group of animals each time.) :smiling_face:

I’m a Wild Mage and I’ve been to the menagerie 3 times now and I still haven’t gotten a pet yet. Does anyone knows how many more times I have to do it to get one or are some of the pets not implemented in the public demo yet for Wild Mages?

Question for the people who are patreon’ing, tumblring, etc., how close is the game to completion and publishing? I remember playing the demo quite a while ago, and would love to play the full version eventually.
