I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus for quite some time. Let’s just say, life has gotten in the way of creative productivity for the last five years. I’ve been able to work on projects here and there, but motivation to provide the best material has not been there.
I’m always wanting to bring my best, whether or not it’s THE best. Once I could get my creative energy flowing again, my goal was always to focus on two projects, one of which I can’t focus on and provide the energy it takes to make it my best, the other… I feel like I’m ready to work on and I have actually started back working on Extreme Ball.
It’s too early to say exactly how well I can keep the creative juices flowing, but I’m at least digging through what I’ve written and refreshing myself on the coding. So when I do get it to a point I’m comfortable with, there will be a major update to the Extreme Ball WIP.
My goal is to complete the sophomore year, but since it’s been so long, I may aim for including the junior year in the update as well (at least a first draft of sorts) right now I’ve implemented a birthday system, but with already having written the freshman year it’s not that easy to implement without taking away from writing, so I’m just going to set a June birthday, at least for the time being. I’m also adding the option for up to two siblings.

The WIP thread is back open, thanks to the moderators for the speedy response and getting it back up. Now time to do my part.
At that length, I’d definitely suggest making it optional, as there’s a likely case that some readers just won’t click with said character and would not be able to commit to reading half the length of a small novel. I would though so I still think you should do it lol
I did this to myself. I wanted to track all these damn variables and now the consequences are coming to give me exactly what I deserve: complicated *if statements and bugs.
Present me knows that future me is gonna 100% think it was worth it. But present me also thinks past me is an asshat.
Past You thought the same of Present You (which was, at the time, Future You) when it was Present You, which is why it was ok to give you all these variables to track.

To mention my own WiP here for a second, I have a few flashbacks that are mandatory, but the majority of them are put into unlockable scenes the player can obtain and access in the stats menu throughout the game. I got a lot of positive feedback on those, personally.
Today, I went back to work just over four months after my surgery. It was only a few hours, but it felt good to be back there and see my colleagues again.
Also, I’ve got a second portable monitor for my laptop to help with my writing instead of splitting a screen in two when comparing stuff or checking it.
Now, I need to make a few adjustments to the code of Season Two then can officially start writing Season Three. My hope is to have at least chapter one done in time for Halloween.
I need all of you internacional friends A friend made for my story an art for a secondary character it is what I want. But dunno if is too strange for International audiences. My story is Terry Pratchett meets Carroll in acid. So the style fits, but is maybe too much to put. I will put all art in a optional choice and never do art of pc.

Here’s the thing. No matter how helpful you want to be… none of that is under your control, and to worry about whether it does is to drive yourself insane.
