Samurai of Hyuga is released!

Thank God! (not about you not being able to play, sorry to hear) I’m glad I’m not the only one. Might I ask what choices lead you the blank screen. It happens really early for me after trying to sit with The hunk of a groom, after trying really hard to get all red stats, the game just straight up denied me a “next” button… .

Edit: Btw a friend of mine said she had this happen with WWU and that it was fixed with a new patch (that as far as she knew had nothing to do with her error) hopefully the same happens here ((TT^TT))

Well it’s a nice feeling to not be alone

I went an tried the option you had trouble with and seemed to work for me. I don’t know if it’s specifically linked to certain stats b/c I was going for a mix of them. The first time I got a blank screen was when I chose to use the fish instead of the sword. The second time it happened was at the lion temple and picked jump down . These keep happening more often as I go further into the chapters.

I also had this problem with Hollywood Visionary, but I got frustrated and haven’t looked into it more, haha.

Yup I got those errors too! honestly I dunno if its the coding or if itunes just likes watching me cry…

Damn I really liked the game too. Guess I just wasted 2.99$…

Hopefully it’ll be fixed soon. I really enjoyed this and was looking forward to it’s release for a while.

I’m Canadian so it costs a little more, I paid 3.49 for it. Bit of a shame, really.

@MarmaladeMouse i am on IOS as well and no issues like that on my side
and i played like 5 times already.

I think the game fixed whatever was wrong with it. Early in the game you can select speed or strength as a skill. I selected strength. There are some situations which require speed to pull off. I restarted the game on speed yet the outcome was the same.

I think that’s changed. I started playing it again today. It gave me a different outcome. This is a great wonderful complex game for anyone who is interested. I was literally playing it for hours on end. It’s the first time also that I’m aware of that warns you of mature theme. And it’s just a very detailed well crafted game with stats that impact things. I can’t wait for the second one.

Welp, that tosses my speculations out the window. But it helps narrow things down I suppose. Some of us just seem to be really unlucky ducklings.

I haven’t felt this kind of attachment to a videogame character since Clementine in the walking dead. Damn you!Damn you for making me unable to wait for the second installation like a child waiting for Christmas!!!

You’re a cruel cruel man. But a very very good story teller. Though if I may do you think adding a checkpoint at the beginning of each chapter would be possible?

Awesome, left a review too. Well worth the wait and now I just can’t wait for the next. I really really hope it comes out soon!

For what it’s worth, I’d love to have this added to the Steam Greenlight. I’d definitely vote for it and buy it after what I saw of the demo, but Steam’s pretty much the only format I use for CoG/Hosted titles. I like using the larger screen of my monitor for text-based games, but I don’t use Chrome.

I picked this game up Yesterday and could not stop playing it. I loved the story and the way the system was handled. I’m definitely going to be keeping my eyes out for the next book of this game.

Had to edit this because previously I said that I could not get into Fatehaven. I must have had the game confused with another one, because I decided to play it again to see if I could find out -why- I did not get into it. When I started playing it I immediately realized my mistake. It was an amazing game as well. So my sincerest apologies for that remark.

Hands down one of the best games I’ve played here.

I also love how you first establish your characters attributes/personality in the first half which then allows the rest of the text is influenced by the characters stats.

This is exactly how the CoG system should more or less balance as. Making choices are fun and reading the outcomes are great but for those inevitable linear plot thick story parte they can be flavored immensly by the characters personality.

Oh and plus, I love how you gave a little chiv bonus for Kenshin samurais and how you can kinda play like a Kenshin (more or less, you still kill).

I haven’t posted here for a while, but I have to say, this is one of the best games I’ve played on here. Fantastically written and makes you understand the character of the MC while still allowing you plenty of opportunity to make your own personality for them. I was so damn angry at the end because I can’t believe I’m going to have to wait for the next book to release to find out what happens. Love it!

I’d have to say, I agree with the above statement. I definitely hope that you’re working on the next book for this right away. I’m on my second playthrough and I have to say, it’s one of my favorite CS games, too. Like… top 3 or so. It’s a bit of a pity that you have to kill Gill-sama. Poor Gill-sama. I tried resisting the second time. Dinner is your destiny. The characters are a rather joyous combination, and the anime flavour makes me get all soft and squishy. Nothing but praise! Waiting for the next will be hard. (And I still suspect there will be more than just one more)

I loved it since I first played the demo and was so excited when I knew that the game was out so soon! Even though it isn’t the full story, it was worth every penny! This is hands down one of the best CS games out there and I’ve played a fair bit of them that are available on the Apple store.

Can’t wait for the next book I need to know how Masami escapes death and how crazy Junko goes down and have written a review in the hopes that it might speed up the arrival of book 2 :stuck_out_tongue:

Damn, it was good, can’t wait for Book II.

I know right. This is one the best games since Fate Heaven. I now they just released this game. I can’t wait for Book 2, maybe it might turn into book 3 or 4, depending on how well it does. At the end of the game. They really raise the stakes for the next book.

I can’t wait for more!! Dying to play it

loving the game!!.. left a 5 star review too… i never thought i’d love a kid companion, especially since i hated having to drag clem and saving ellie (would have gladly sacrificed that kid for the benefit of mankind), but i am loving masami so much like a little sister since i rp as same as my age of 25, we’re as the two previous i saw them as baggage, haha…

Okay first thing first I adored this, no question, even if the ending broke me a little bit. (I might have yelled no at my screen like a mad woman.) I am hoping there are more endings cuase where the game left of with our adorable little charge, I’m praying there’s more endings or oh my god that it’s not what it seems and 2 will explain my irrational concerns for a fictional character. (Yes the idea what might have happen to this little cutie has about broken me at this moment.) I’m utterly in love with this story and I saw an improvement in story structure since Fatehaven (which I adored as well but this one feels like a step up.) The characters are charming and endearing and I just can’t imagine the story at this point without them. I really, really hope that book two is in the future. (the near one even more so, but I’ll just be happy to finds out what happens to the little guy/girl before I kill over one day of old age. I can wait, but the cliffhanger is going to drive me insane until then.) In short I found it worth every cent, and I’m so excited that I can barely stand it! I really hope you do continue this.
