Recently read Book 4, and I couldn’t resist drawing my ronin and Jun any longer! Do forgive the (very) atypical haircolor of my ronin, I’m just feeling the fantasy when I play SoH. :'D
Top left is my ronin when he was still a mess in Book 1, and bottom left is after he received the haircut from Ume-ume and cleaned-up. Top right is my rendition of feral Jun, and bottom right is after the later events in Book 4 when he “reunites” with his family.
I’m just reeling from Book 4 and hope to draw more of the other cast as well! If anyone else would like to draw and gush about SoH let me know, I’m just so in love with this series.

Oh gosh, young Jun looks so cute!! His facial expression fits that line of dialogue so well!
Yessss let’s draw, discuss, and draw some more! I feel like SoH is a series that really suits a visual medium since even the writing itself is very much like a screenplay.

Does anyone else seem to picture the last airbender in their heads and I’m not talking about the movie that was stupid
I’m a bit confused here. If you mean to say SoH reminds you of ATLA then probably a discussion thread would be more fitting than the fanart one.
Anyway as for my opinion SoH only reminded me of ATLA when Ichiro keept up his wise old guy act (Ichiro = Iroh). SoH reminds me more of Rurouni Kenshin (especially the early books), but that was the authors intention anyway so…
