It actually does reappears, the Slient Lady has it and let’s the dog smell it to track down the Ronin.
Interesting. I only search the word “charm” in the text document. I only remembered the Silent Lady using the wheelchair. Thanks for the correction.
@Anarore_Kriptih Do Junmancers get to choose what charm they have acquire? There’s three in the code, luck, protection and fertility.
I don’t know, don’t think so, played this scene only once when I wanted to take a look at Jun’s rout. The Ronin can’t read, so Jun just picks it for them. Maybe it depends on the relationship between them since there can be three options: hate, love and indifference. On that note does anyone know what choices lead to “not feeling much at all”?

Nice, so it didn’t get lost.
Yeah, you pick, There are two options on which one you want and the third option defaults to the other one if you don’t pick
Oh yeah, you’re right. I might just have gone straight for letting Jun pick since he was so exited and kinda forgot. Thx.
Hi, I’m not sure if this is the place to ask but are SoH Sidestories 1-10 and Sidestories 11-20 their own games or do they just add extra content to their already existing games?
they are extra content…first 10 in book 4, 10-20 book 5 and last 10 will be in book 6 most likely
Oh, Book 5 isn’t the last installment?
They are their own stories about the characters for you to read, they don’t influence the main games games or anything.
And there will be 2 more books, yeah.
I finally finished my two main “run throughs” and I love how the ronin (us) itself took a background/extra role in this entry in reference towards the main quest even though we still did “our job”.
I also like to give praise to the opition how much literal Heck and the loss of Jun/Junko affected the ronin. I have multiple save files but on my “main” run I despise Jun/Junko and all the parts of book 4 didn’t do them any favor. But still: Losing the person which can relate most to my ronin created a deep scar. And I feel relieved we get a choice to express our concerns about the ending of book 4. For some it is just about Heck. Others just about Jun’s/Junko’s fate. And in some cases both. This choice alone made me tear up a little. Since it acknowledges all the suffering we went through in book 4.
At the start we have a really REALLY rough wake up call. At the end of book 4 I remember gritting my teeth and hoping for a better end making the right choices. Only to be greeted with the more or less same results. (Call me insane) So it cut twice as deep when the ronin is stuck and “charmed” at first. In their own delusions and the poison/“medicine” givin to them.
This entry of the “Samurai of Hyuga” made me step back more than the earlier entries. However how much earlier entires tried to sell me on the “Protective” nature of the ronin this one sold it and a generous tip in addition. But the depression and “self-sacrifice” nature of the ronin struck out of the park like a home run for me. Everytime the “page” turned I felt a sense of dread. That there is only so much zeal to give by the ronin towards our precious cargo.
I wish there would have been an option/trail to imply more specific for the ronin that Masa is the shackles that holds them back from unleashing Heck/Themself onto Hyuga. But this is just personal preference.
All in all I liked the creeping build up. From the start to finish I smelled the theme of this entry by a mile. But it still hurt and hit everytime. Twisting and turning the core of the ronin made it so much better. Only to be untangled by others. I shed tears for everytime my ronin could not. Since they did not understood.
They all followed their beliefs. Only to be caught up in the bright light of a falling star. Praying and making a wish opon them: The ronin. To change the present into a brighter future.
Going further into the book I liked the comparrison and additon of an “abstract” faith. A savior that brings salvation onto those that believe. You could say Satsuma is the first “believer” in the ronin. So in a twisted way the ronin (we) deliver judgement onto those we deem deserving. In my case I thought Goro already did his penance by suffering in his illness and helping the “church”. For others it may have not been enough.
The ending made me smile, tear up and huff in agony. There are so many unanswered question I (I not the ronin) have that I wish I could have read at least 3 chapters more. So I am hooked for book 6!
Before this book I wasn’t a fan of Tosh and their rather promptly affection towards the ronin. But I just started a new “run” with Tosh as the romance target. The reveal of Tosh’s affection towards the ronin (us) because of the time loop almost broke me. Because of a Pen&Paper character I play which motivitation revolve around finding the best solution for a certain event in the future they lived through countless amounts of times.
And I understand Tosh. In their decision who to support most. Love and Loyalty might be different by a razor edge. But to walk onto this cutthroat path they chose the safer option. A lot of people got upset that Tosh still chose Satsuma over the ronin. But I felt relieve. Since I could “see” the turmoil in Tosh while staying true to their believes. Just let me ask: “Would you trust your best friend or a mental instable person you developed deep feelings of love for?”
If you would go back to book 1 Tosh wouldn’t even hesitate imo and strike you down themself. But now they wish to be a supporting “column” for the suffering that you have to endure on your way.
In the same vain lets talk about Tosh “fighting scenes”. Tosh is not an combatant. Like they said in book one they will never proof effective in combat. And in this book I would argue that Tosh used every arsenal in their possession to “outmatch” their opponent. If you wonder how Tosh did anything it is because they knew which tool to use in any given situation. And still they suffered deafeat.
There is more and more stuff to discuss. But I just felt to give my original respond to the work of art provided.
And since I saw the ask/question in the thread for music. For my “playthroughs” I played “Hurricane” by FabvL on repeat. The song came out at the end of August and is about something else eintirely. But this song really hit home for my ronins.
I agree 100%. Even though it hurts a lot, I am grateful that they are honest about it. It’s refreshing to see a companion with their own mind and has their own agency. Like Momo, their world didn’t stop with the Ronin. That they don’t just drop everything for someone they met (and fell for) for only a few months since relationship doesn’t worked that way. I was also happy that before the Ronin and Tosh went into a relationship, the secrets have brought into the light.
Can’t wait to see how Tosh will handle Ronin in Masa’s body and the possibility that Masa is in the Ronin’s though. It would be entertaining for sure.
Yes! Tosh is the most forward and honest person to the ronin (us)! Imagine a future where Tosh still withholds the “information” they got.
That is why I can respect them. Even though they have to reveal a lot and might take responsibility for things they have no responsibility to take for they still believe in us! And to be able to finally tell the truth to the MC (us)!
Tosh imo is the most conflicted character in the whole series. And deservese a break. Not just a romance. But as a friend.
Tosh imo is at the same Level as Masa for me.
Sadly I might not be able to express this. But if you touch Tosh even with a stick in harmful manor! I WILL CUT YOU DOWN!
Yeah Tosh is cute. They’re very neat and sometimes I’m tempted to do a Tosh run.
On the topic of how Tosh is capable of holding their own against even Jigoku Ronin despite being a non-combatant, I assume that after their experiences in Edge of Tomorrow and all their watching of the Ronin that they have the fourth best understanding of the Jigoku (right after Gensai, Jun/ko and the Ronin themselves) and specifically of the Ronin’s fighting style. So it’s just a matter of assuming correctly.
Anyway I can’t wait to box a mountain.
Worry not, I didn’t care much for them either at first, not even letting them give me a happy ending. I just thought their investigation kink was cute, and I’ll eventually go back and do their run simply just to see what I miss out on/what the differences are.
Reading what you’ve posted, I think I’m the only one who didn’t like Toshie’s character,
My ronin never showed any romantic interest in her, which the story makes it seem like he did.
Another thing I didn’t like about her is when she insists that we stay in the sanctuary and investigate even knowing that my ronin only wants to save Masami.
Don’t hate me🙏
Leaving aside my dislike for her, the story is incredible
You didn’t show any interest in them before? If you did the extra service way back in Book 3, it is still considered love in the coding. Do you have a specific scene in mind? Upon reviewing the code, there’s a different text for romance Tosh and non-romance Tosh but there’s a possibility that an error in coding or it is what it is intended.
if you could recall what scene it was, I could try looking at the code if it was coded that way. Otherwise, the second part of Book 5 was intended to be Tosh-centric like how SoH 4 will always be Jun-centric even though you really want to get back to your old crew.
Edit
I do understand your situation though because I was in the same boat as you when I read SoH 4. I was not a fan of Jun so reading SoH 4 was a challenge for me even though it was interesting to learn about the Ronin’s past. I would expect the same can be said of those who don’t like Tosh as well.
I don’t have a specific scene in mind, since in my opinion, my ronin has a disproportionate appreciation for someone who is nothing more than a close friend, but it may simply be something that I have misunderstood and it may simply be because of the fear of losing someone. close again
Omggg! Thank youuui authoorr
Please, bring me back my jun even though his toxic as ef . I’ll wait even for a long time
.
Anyone know how to get 100% attunement in this book? I’ve tried and restarted the game many times and each failure makes me die a little on the inside.
Wait for the Steam guide
