Just played through both games, and damn I am in love with your writing. Also, with the way the stats are used, and the clever manipulations of the stat screen…
Can’t wait to see what happens next, my favorite CoG so far!

Really REALLY love the story way and the game it self of course(despite the price at play store:fearful:)really love the puzzle(Shogi) part as well:laughing:.come my grand question:what is this give a birth at spirit world mean and really, this was at my mind since my emotions are:
P.S
It is just me or @MultipleChoice make 3 RO at SoH(or 4?) Similar to Fatehaven?
Toshie/Toshio=Silvana/Silvanus
Both Masami/Masashi and Hatch=Brigid/Bregan
Junko/Jun=Patch sorry If I wrong thought Samurai of Hyuga and Fatehaven both are my favorite hosted games
I’m glad you enjoyed the games! That spirit sequence you mentioned served as a way to demonstrate how much Junko/Jun is on our main character’s mind, but it didn’t actually occur.
Interesting theory about the ROs. We’ll have to see!
I mostly glad because that mean we don’t have to possibly fight our own child that would be TERRIFYING
And for the game it self I even have theory that basho are spirit of manipulation they looking for
Seriously in love with this series. I’ve never bought one of these games before, simply because I didn’t think it would be worth it. After playing the previews for Books 1 and 2 over and over again, I went for it and bought both. Finished them in hours and now desperately wanting Book 3! I can hardly wait! The series is definitely well written and very engrossing. It’s got me compeltely hooked!
(Also, really wanting to get into Toshio’s pants. My character may be chivalrous, but I’m having a hard time being so. ;))
After having loved Fatehaven, I can now say I am also in love with this series. I really like your writing style - it’s relatable and funny. The date-engineering scene had me in stitches. “Nevermind - he needs all the help he can get!” xD
Definitely going to be going back and replaying this, try some other options. I really enjoy the character tests in the text as well - gives some “character” to the scenes.
Can we actually get an official age for Masami and the MC (a few people have been wondering about this) and can it be confirmed that Masami is a romance option in the future? Can’t wait for 3rd instalment! Favourite series!
Thanks for the compliment! If I decide to give official ages to Masami/Masashi and the MC, I’d definitely work into the story in some kind of dramatic way. Because of that I wouldn’t want to spoil it beforehand.
Favorite series of mine too :)! Just bury me in a hole somewhere with Jun, this is not going to end well for my MC…
I love this game oh my god. I can’t wait for book three!
Can I just say that I love how this series is set up. I l actually really love how the first half of the first game is setting up our character and from then on we get to see how they react to the world. It makes the MC feel more like their own character. So far I’ve done two playthroughs (technically three, but my second one when I got to the end it wouldn’t let me save them for some reason so I just replayed with a new character, I’ll redo number 2 one day) and I don’t think I’ve been as attached to my main character since I first got into these games. I also really like how it tells me which stats determine the flavor text I get. It really makes me what to replay it with the other stats to see what I’m missing (I don’t think I could ever play a drifter, though, I can’t not be protective of Masashi).
I hope Jun comes back. I love that wild pile of crazy.
Also. That ending… I have played enough Phoenix Wright to know where this is going. Rin-San, Ace Ronin, is on the case!
Since everyone seems to be complimenting I’m going to come out of my ghosting on the thread and say that I absolutely love this, particularly the way that your stats are integrated into the game-I busted out laughing when my aloof, broody ronin put her arm around Momoko’s shoulder to convince Daisuke that she was a prostitute.
I also have a secret hope for more romances because the aforementioned aloof, broody ronin is already torn between Momoko and Junko and is completely oblivious that Masami is in love with her, and a way to ruin her love life even more is something I deeply need.
Anyway, I love this game and all the characters in it.
Hi I m having a doubt regarding varies effects of the decision to do romance with the doctor.is there a way to prevent her from returning back to her country.
No, there isn’t. And if you try, you will lose a lot of attunement.
You mean Toshie? She doesn’t get killed. The person who is murdered in the Samurai Chef that works for the Baron. I don’t think you can save him either.
Ok thanks I had to recheck from start of book 2 and found it out thanks any way .do u know when book3 is gonna release.
Hi there, samurai fans! Sorry to bother you all, but I know there’s a lot of fans for SoH here, and wanted you all to know that there is a Discord Server dedicated to fans of these great games!
Unsurprisingly this fandom is positively brimming with creative, talented individuals. There’s no short supply of headcanons, fanart, fanfics, and enough AUs to last you until the next installment!
Here is the link, and I hope some of you join!
The change in difficulty in achieving 100% attunement from book 1 to book 2 is really steep, I just realized even some normal dialogue will affect your attunement - if you stay true to your character maybe increase, but if not then a stealthy decrease. Has anyone reached 100% attunement and maintained it? I wonder what benefits can you get from it. The loss in attunement most of the time always outweighs the gain which is quite punishing if you’re aiming for 100% attunement. Can I have the option to restart the current chapter too? I don’t like to restart the game just to undo one mistake I’ve made. Is it possible to allow us to choose what choices are made in the previous book - book 1? I like to be able to choose between randoming all the choices and getting to choose them. Hmm, do they not affect the current book at all?
Other than that, I like the game, it has some witty and brilliant dialogues which is good writing - “In my defence, I’m completely wasted.” That retort never fails to get me whenever I read it. This game is my closet guilty pleasure. Is romance/love with Toshi or Junko possible?
You don’t really get a reward for specific 100% attunement. You also don’t need it to succeed.
Thanks. It was taking me forever to get through Book 2 because I spent too much time restarting to try to get 100%. I don’t think I’ll worry about attunement very much going forward.
