Welcome to Prosperity Station! You are one of the lucky few to have won the lottery to get a chance to live in Prosperity’s grand residential halls. Over two billion people entered the lottery and you are one of only fifty to win. So congratulations and welcome!
Hello there and welcome to the WIP of Prosperity Station! So, what is it all about?
Prosperity Station is a standalone sci-fi horror interactive novel. You play as a brand new resident of the famous Prosperity Station. You think life is going to be great and easy on the station, but then you start to pick up hints that something more sinister is going on. All is not as it seems on Prosperity and it seems that evil things lurk in the shadows…things with claws and many teeth.
Prosperity Station is a big project. With two almost entirely different routes you can take, I estimate that in the end it will easily be over one million words, with over 150k words per playthrough. I won’t lie, it’s probably going to take me a few years to complete it. I promise though, on my heart of hearts, I will never give up on this project. Prosperity Station is my baby, and I will see it through to completion.
The demo currently consists of the first chapter and is 164k in total and around 29k words per average play through.
Features
-
Play as female, male or non-binary.
-
Romance one of four ROs (two male, two female) regardless of gender.
-
Find notes hidden throughout the station to help you along the way.
-
Choose one of two paths. Do you believe the ‘villain’ is doing the right thing? Maybe they aren’t even a villian in your eyes. Or do you want to work to put an end to their plans? It’s up to you to decide. Each path has an almost entirely different story to it!
-
Encounter many different types of monsters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses you will need to learn in order to survive.
Characters
Riley Jones - Romanceable
Riley has near white hair in a pixie cut and her eyes are green. She wears dark green overalls embroidered with the station’s logo. She is the head of security on the station, but she finds herself doing nearly every job. She is perky and bubbly, probably sometimes too much for her own good.
On the surface she acts like a nice and trustworthy person, and chances are, she is…but there’s something else about her, and it seems like she might be trying to hide a dark and troubled past…
Silas Kasari - Romanceable
Silas Kasari - or Doctor Silas Kasari as he will be quick to correct - works in the laboratories of Prosperity. He wears a long white lab coat, has dark black hair that’s always in a tight ponytail and his eyes are blue.
Not much is known about Silas or his work. He tends to keep to himself more and stays down in the labs. Strange rumors spread about the nature of his work, but they’re so outlandish, they can’t possibly be true!
Silas has seemed to take a keen interest in the new residents…it’s unknown why. Maybe he’s just after some new friends to meet.
Virgil Andrews - Romanceable
Virgil is a fellow new resident. He’s originally from Australia, and his accent certainly shows it. He has wild bushy auburn hair and a beard to match and his eyes are bright green. He wears a thick woolen yellow jumper with brown trousers.
Virgil is the kind of person who has a constant surplus of energy. He never seems to get tired and he could talk for hours and hours on just about any subject and never get bored. He likes to joke and mess around, often at the wrong time.
He’s also the kind of person to never take things too seriously…that might all have to change when he faces the horror of Prosperity…
Mia Sato - Romancable
Mia is another new resident, originally from Japan. She has long black hair that she always wears in a messy bun and her eyes are brown. She wears all long and flowing clothes. She wears a long grey cardigan over a blue shirt with black baggy leggings.
Mia is a soft and quiet soul. She’s always mindful of what she says and worries over too many things. She has an inquisitive eye and will always spot little details. She doesn’t speak as often as others, but when she does, it would do you good to listen.
Her easily frightened attitude won’t do her any favors on Prosperity, although that inquisitive eye might come in handy…

Feedback
I am looking for all sorts of feedback! Of course I’m looking for the typical spelling or grammatical mistakes. (I’m dyslexic, so spelling isn’t a strong point of mine, so pointing out typos would be a huge help!)
I also want to make Prosperity the best story it can possibly be. I want to know what you like and don’t like. What works and what doesn’t. Think I should add or change an element of the story? Go ahead and suggest it! I want the best for this story, and I can only do that with feedback from you.
Warnings
-
Violence and gore - I’m still not too sure how prominent this will be, and it won’t appear until much later in the story. If the amount of violence is troubling to people, I plan to add an option to tone the level of violence and gore down.
-
Character death - you can lose people you meet along the way in Prosperity Station, or not…it’s up to you. All major characters can die! Yourself included…
-
Sexual context - nothing overly explicit, and when you do get to the sexual context, you will be given an option to ‘Fade to Black’ if you don’t wish to read any sort of explicit oontent.
