But in game 1 the MC would explore their powers and use them in the way they want. While becoming a supervillain who runs a criminal gang should be a possible ending, I would expect many other and don’t think it’s good to railroad the player towards this one.
And as far as I understood the concept of Payday, the MC should be an average guy/girl becoming a bank robber. Having superpowers or being an experienced gang leader or even both would make it a wholly different game.
Nothing wrong with it being one possible ending in Not Normal Anymore, but this game should offer other endings as well, and making a sequel to this ending would imply that it is “canon”.
Now the idea of a supervillain running a gang doesn’t sound bad either, but the MC of game 2 is mentioned to be a “small time crook”.
Your would make a new game idea, which might work fine as a stand-alone. If you want it, try to convince @AyazM, maybe s/he’ll like it too.
@Hell_Satan @WulfyK I am a He. Although the super powered bank heist would probably end up being way too easy, maybe I could add an element into the first making it so that when you are a villain you can conduct various heists.

Sorry, guys. I am absolutely terrible when it comes to procrastination. I have started Not Normal Anymore and hereby officially announce that it is a WIP. I will post a thread for closed beta when I finish. Let me know if you guys have any ideas for the game! - AyazM

well…everyone have their preferences, but the only one I like is running the gang…But if written well that could be a really good game depending on how ambitious you are. Maybe like a more customisable, longer version of life of a mobster?
It will focus more on running the gang than being a member. You will have a team and depending on their skill level, they might die on missions that you send them on. (Most likely will have that system in Payday also). You will actually be the OG or head of the gang.
They’re all lacking description. I need a bit more description about these topics before I can fully decide.
If you’re doing Not Normal anymore I have a few questions if you don’t mind. Maybe they’ll help you flesh out parts of the story.
- Are you the only one with powers? Or are there several other super powered individuals as well.
- Any idea of where your powers come from? For instance in Heroes Rise it mentioned humans developing powers overtime due to technology (or something of the like. Been awhile since I last played)
- What year of HS is your character in.
- Is it Gender locked?
- Is there romance. This is a pretty big thing for a lot of people. Myself included I feel romance adds some extra sense of story and immersion.
- Any idea what type of basic stats you’ll have?
- How long does the story go?
- Is it set in a modern version of the world or a completely different reality?

Yes, you are the only one with powers. I thought of adding some super powered villains but it wouldn’t make as much sense because you wouldn’t know where their powers come from. I might add some out-of-galaxy aliens as to steal some things from Thor.

No. You can choose to be either gender. I am not sure if I am going to add the LBGT factor though, it would take quite a bit of backtracking to get that done 100% properly. (Personally, I am not against LGBT. Just saying.)

There is going to be romance in the novel. I personally loved the effect the romance had on other CoGs and Hosted Games.

You will have basic stats like strength, perception, power control, persuasion, that kind of thing. However there will also be a Tin Star type of relationship stats.

I am not exactly sure how long the story will go. I am just kind of playing it by ear. We will see how it turns out later. Ideally, I want it to be quite long though. It just depends on how long I can stretch the story in my head.

It is set in a modern version of the world as you are a normal 10th grader in a public high school.
Also, @Damian, Yes, you can choose what your power is. It is based on each power being categorized into a different color and the color you pick will determine what power you have. So in a way, you will be able to pick your powers but you will not be aware which power you get until later.
Hmm alright. And I guess any questions about it being a series and the like would depend on how the story goes. And let’s avoid aliens attempting to conquer the earth shall we. I’d prefer to not be the only super human fighting an alien invasion.
Also if you need help with beta testing I’d be happy to help. Probably be the last one I can beta test as my schedule is starting to tighten up, but I can squeeze in one more game to beta test.
Personally I love testing and watching these games grow so don’t hesitate to ask me for help story wise or with grammar mistakes and the like.
