"Pon Para and the Unconquerable Scorpion"—Raise an army to save reality itself!

Dunno, I didn’t try for him. But he’s definitely an RO, Moochava even said that the only throuple you couldn’t make was with Col and Clan.

@Ahmad_raby I was in a romance with Mel since Pon Para 1, so yes.

Is there a specific point or reputation level where the Melaxu romance locks in and you get the achievement? I’ve made it through two playthroughs carrying her over as a romance from the first game and still haven’t gotten this achievement, despite picking her for everything and taking all the romantic dialogue options I find, and I still wind up with romantic dialogue and scenes.

Is it possible to be in a relationship with more than two people?

Apparently, you can nab two companions plus others, like say a Mel+Clan actual relationship plus a thing with Zoz.

I can’t ask Clannath to date

Just tell Clannath she looks beautiful, if she’s interested it’ll be fairly obvious.
Getting her to accept other partners may be a bit more difficult though.

Mel+Clan didn’t workout so well for me ended up romancing the princess after. My characters romantic flexibility and bounce back ability is impressive.

Can you actually get your approval high enough to sleep with Clannath? Or is it always just “but I’ll sleep next to you.”

So, um, I don’t know if this is intended, but exactly how many people can you romance at once?

Because I could swear I saw something about only dating two people at the same time, but I romanced Empress Zoriza after Melaxu/Clannath and the game didn’t make a big deal out of it or anything. I don’t think anyone actually mentioned me romancing Zoriza, except for Zoriza herself visiting me near the end of the game where (I assume, as I only kissed her) you can sleep with her.

My pon para 1 game doesn’t have a save option so how do I load a saved game to start pon para ii?

It’s “I’ll sleep next to you”, and you get a kiss (well, two, cos she misses the first one) when you wake up). You can’t sleep with Mel, either, in either game, as far as I’ve managed.

Moochava said “two companions, plus whoever”. So you can get Mel and Clan and Zoz, but you can’t get, say, Mel and Clan and Hyranni.

You might need to update the app.

Ok. Thanks. Will try that

You actually can sleep with Melaxu at the party. I think your approval just has to be really high. Mine was around 75 when it happened. The first time i tries she digs her heels in when you try to drag her off somewhere private, but on a different playthrough she went for it and theres a sex scene.

I got a Steam gift card for Christmas and I just bought the game! Leeeet’s goooo!

EDIT: I noticed between GSL and US my relationship with Zoriza went from “she distrusts and dislikes you” to “she regards you as useful.” Is this because I chose to make peace with the Stormraiders?

The game is solid and well-written, I’ve left a positive review.

Not sure about the mystery part (will be more vague to avoid spoilers), I haven’t looked at the code but AFAICT, I made most skillchecks and still didn’t narrow down a temple. I’ll look at the code later, I usually don’t do that on my first few runs.

I think I have a different playstyle than most people here…rather than warrior or rogue, I imported this (successful!) build into the second game:

Patch for both games being released right now.

  • Wounds no longer carry over between games
  • Text no longer implies you’re allied with the Condors of Patabesh if you betrayed or fought them in the first game
  • Added little flourishes at the chapter-ends like in PP1
  • Cleaned up the codex navigation menus

OMG, PATCH NOTES!!!

I LOVE YOU!

I also seem to be getting the bug where I don’t have any of the tablets in my ported game after betraying the condors, if it helps I had Tamur helping me rat them out when I did it.

Also, I don’t know if it was intended, but I never got the first tablet back in my inventory in the first game, unlike the 2nd and 3rd.

Also Gisla somehow has a copy of the emerald tablet in my port despite never giving her one, is that intentional? Did she somehow find a way to get it off screen?

I think that’s all the bugs I’ve noticed but there is something I’d like to address, I’m playing a character that aims for The Kind and The Reflective achievements, using bearing, wisdom, and resolve to get things done, and the choices make this very hard to do.

spoilers beyond this point, can’t get the spoiler tag working on the phone

For example when it comes to saving the boats with Melaxu, why does saving everyone tank my counsel? I can’t say the dialogue implies it as a command decision so it was rather surprising when I checked that.

Another is when fighting the scorpion, when it came to deciding how to fight it near the blue cog wheels most decisions raised command, which was my only option without sacrificing another stat.

And finally, how in the world do I track down the tablet thief? I’ve replayed dozens of times and the clues always stay the same and give no hint to where he went, leaving me to default pick a temple and hope I get lucky.

I think that’s pretty much everything I have to report, can’t wait to see what happens next.

I think the tablet thief is a pretty hard mystery to solve in general, since unlike in PP1, some choices don’t actually offer any clues, but when I went through it, there was exactly one bit that helped me completely narrow it down.

If you ask… an artisan, I think, they tell you that Seliaq bought an abaccus. By checking the Codex, you can tell that it’s specifically the Temple of Jann (? I don’t remember exactly, but it’s in the Codex), priests/disciples that use abaci.

It was definitely a lot harder than anything in Barec’s mission, that I’ll admit. Even when I took that choice, I still lowkey felt like I was grasping at straws.
