But generally speaking, queer people are starved for content made specifically for them. Sure, we’re included in most CoG games, but usually as an afterthought and more times than not it feels awkward.

In summary, I don’t care if it’ll sell well or not. If it makes people feel good then I’ve achieved my goal.

You know, if you have such strong feelings about this, do you really want to have this up to a poll? I mean, I can see doing an interest check—and you’ve pretty well established that you have a lot of interest for different ideas here—but if you’re really passionate about an idea, and how well it sells isn’t your worry, if you feel more inspired or tugged in a certain direction, you can just follow your feelings.

Though I can also see that you might just be sounding this way because you’re getting a little more defensive over The Beast Within, because none of the other ideas are likely to get the same level of people questioning the basic premise, or launching discussion of representation and suchlike, because they’d be less “controversial” (not that I think having a specifically gay game should be controversial )

Or you could write a game about a gay hunter whose betrothed is abducted by monsters whom you have to hunt down in order to save your betrothed whom you’re then not interested in (and maybe you were kidnapped and granted superpowers, and the monster is a chimera )

We need to mobilise more voters, sadly all of the other people I know around here aren’t gay and may not be reliable voters for the best choice.

But like you said, people aren’t really complaining or criticizing the other games. I’ve answered all questions about all of them.

Also, TBW has been getting the most commentary in the thread, so that can also be what’s leading you to the conclusion that I prefer TBW.

My passion in defending the queerness of TBW is not exclusive to TBW. ALL of my games will have queer main characters.

The Chimera project has a gay muscle alien, a bisexual transwoman, and a Pansexual nonbinary cyborg. Lol.

United has a gay transman as their poster child, a bisexual volcano man, a Lesbian police officer and a fourth dimensional being that hates pronouns, romance, sex and you.

In On The Hunt, the player’s adoptive father is gay. The first monster you fight is a gender fluid Siren. Your twin is canonically ace, etc. You get the point.

I’m not exclusively passionate about TBW. I’m passionate about representation of lgbt+ people, and rest assured, all of my games will be queer af, whether the player is straight or not.

You know that “gay hunter” can be interpreted in a very, very wrong way, as in a superpowered individual specifically hunting gay peoplein the vein of this 1950’s US “infomercial”.
In any case without context “gay hunter” can be interpreted either as a hunter who is gay or as a hunter who hunts gay people.
