Paradox Factor

Oh… then if those are all of them I found them all… Yay me lol jokes.

Could make a walkthrough but I think it’s suppose to be puzzling… so I won’t. It would take out a lot of the playability if someone made one.

(Wrote a hint but it became too long… So instead just remember that you’re like Dr. Manhattan)

Spoilers

I suck on the part with the kidnappers how do I stop the guy at the stairs part from killing my kids I have done the smashing the chair once and smashing the stairs, I join the gun club and got a gun but keep have my kids dead because I am to slow at my age ?

@StPeter182 You need to get faster. Have a look through all the times and see if there’s a way which you can take up an activity that will make you quicker.

@Stpeter182 @FairyGodfeather I’m also stuck at that part and I cant seem to, for the life of me, find anything to make me faster in the future.

SPOILERS!

@Alleykae I can’t remember precisely. I think it’s the wedding scene when you notice that you’re a bit too fat for your wedding outfit, and you can start going to the gym or running or something?

Man, this game was fun. How many endings are there? I completed two, and I’m not sure what I can do differently at this point.

SPOILERS:

I have caused a paradox by suicide and I also saved my family although it led to divorce. I feel like the asylum should be an ending, but they always let me out for a day trip and it’s back to the machine. Also, is it possible to make any changes at the investor meeting? I visited the memory a few times throughout my games and it seemed the same each time.

END SPOILERS

Wow this is pretty addicting. I’ve been going at it for a couple hours already and still haven’t achieved the best ending.

I ran into a really frustrating bug though for the iOS version. I accidentally clicked the Home button at the top and it instantly erased all of my progress.

Same here. Twice clicked on the Home button and twice my progress was erased. Very frustrating. I think I will wait for a fix before attempting yet another try.

Great Scott, I’ve done it, I completed the game!!!

So, I killed Jim at the wedding and Terry later at tyre-changing event, Tom was killed by train accident so no one can stop me from shooting myself at the rooftop. That’s an ending.

But I just wonder is there any way to archive another ending? a happy one, maybe?

@Tyrfall There are no happy endings, just various degrees of misery.

Too bad, then I guess I have already found the best ending.

That’s true to life, too.

Any ETA on the home-button-is-a-time-machine-too bug? It really undermines the fun of the game, because you gotta do it all in one sitting, no breaks to refresh your tormented mind.

I kind of feel like the inability to get a happy ending is part of the whole paradox-avoidance theme of the game. In order for your time travel meddling to have happened, at some point your character has to be miserable enough to think jumping into an untested time machine is a good idea.

I think the accept your divorce ending is clearly the best. It’s not happy, really, but it seems stupid to get that far and decide to engineer your way back to the timeline where you’re crippled and everyone you love is dead, just because your marriage didn’t work out.

It does seem strange to me that, after that ending, your character concludes that the time machine didn’t work. I mean you’re a person specifically developing a way to “remember” the future. One day, out of the blue, you decide to drive out to the middle of nowhere, and smash up a bunch of stuff in an abandoned farmhouse. Years later, the phone rings and your response is to immediately drive out to the same location and murder some dudes who you then discover kidnapped your kids. And by the way isn’t it strangely convenient that all your previous random vandalism helped you out here?

And then you remember your eerie premonition about you professor’s cancer; or your effortless success predicting the stock market. How could you not put two and two together?

@Ioshia @HelloThere @Jackrabbit The patch has been submitted to fix that restart glitch. It should show up as an update any day now.

I always liked the director’s cut endings to movies, which were usually a little grittier and bitter sweet.

Lucid, I just wanted to thank you for this awesome game!

The update should be released on all platforms. No more accidental restarts.

Yep, thanks Lucid.

Great game, loved it. Wasnt aware of the multiple true endings tho. I got the paradox factor ending just because, with the intro, i thought that’d be the only possible ending.

Can someone PLEASE spoil the other 3 main endings? I can guess at what the living apart ending is, but whats the no loss and cherish the time?

@fairygodfeather there are happ endings. if u go back tons of times and improve where you failed for example, reading your “bad” spouse’s diary and divorcing him/her, instead of doing nothing will allow you to regain the “good” spouse as a partner. if you do tat in every scenario that something bad happens, you will reach a “good” ending. apparetly there are several endings like his however. thats just how I did it.
