Paradox Factor

Just played it through and thoroughly enjoyed it. The idea is brilliant and it has been well written.
It’s engaging from the beginning and the realisation was great! (you’ll know what I mean when you get there).
My only gripe is that after completing it, and hearing there were multiple endings, I didn’t go straight back to it (unlike Life of a Wizard). This was because a lot of the text is repetitive (albeit with very clever subtle changes).

The stats page didn’t work for me: iPhone 3GS.

That stat screen worked for me it changed throughout depending on the time.

@Nocturnal_Stillness Are you using Android? The lack of stat screen, app restart and missing Game Center all seem to be glitches that weren’t there during beta. I’m wondering if the lack of stat screen is an Apple thing.

@Jackrabbit The stats screen should give your name, age and short summary of your life.

I’m glad people are enjoying it. I was worried that something unique and more difficult might not have been well received. Ultimately, I wrote the game as something I’d enjoy playing and hoped for the best.

Yes on android.

Yay I wake up and I can see I can finally post. (was waiting since I didn’t want to have 2 posts after the other)

I found the game rather interesting, it does have a unique type of time travel. Since I didn’t see any form of physical time travel I am happy. This form of travel reminds me of Steins;Gate (if you haven’t played/watched/read it you should, favorite time travel story. Sorry Doctor Who…)

I believe me and @Andymwhy had the same ending which I believe to be the most logical ending to the story. I do want to play again but I can only forsee bad ends. (Too many bad flags… too many bad flags…)

Since I use android I met the same problem as most people with the story unable to save. Was actually wondering if this was intentional or not, glad to see I was wrong. Not to worry though I usually play a game through my first time. (though my phone died after… It died around the end of the game so I had to replay everthing just to continue from where I left off… somewhat anoying)

Anyway great game and an interesting take on Time Travel. I will most likely try and find those other endings. Hoping they are good ends.

Hey, nice to meet you all, I’ve just joined, but I’ve been reading all of your discussions now, for about a year, but, back to the subject at hand.

Hey, Lucid, I just wanted to let you know something’s about the game. I enjoyed it, immensely (I am however, stuck on age 50.) and also the stat screen isn’t working, I’m playing on an Apple device, and also if I exit the game, it resets.

Good news. A patch has been submitted to fix all three. Missing stats, restarting of the game and missing game center achievements.

Yay! I loved this game during beta testing, kinda sad Chrome refused to sell :frowning:

This game has been a ton of fun to play around with to try and find different combinations.

That being said, is it possible to get a better ending? I’ve been trying to find a lot of combinations to get the most survivors but I’m not even sure if it’s possible.

Sweet, now I can do another playthrough without having to guard my phone like a hawk xD

@Jfp2012 You can save everyone but… I don’t want to say more than that.

Can someone please, please tell me how to get past 50? PM me, I’ve triesf everything! :((

I’m stuck there with you mate, bought it last night and after about an hour I got stuck. Gonna see if I can get past it this time around

@FortunesFaded If you figure it out, let me know.

I’ve finally gotten past the point I was stuck, but am stuck again lol

Amazing game! One of the best of CoG.
…Now how the heck do I get a better ending? I think I got the default one, but…I’m not satisfied!
We need walkthroughs, dangit!

I don’t know if I have the same problem as you guys but I seriously can not get another ending… That I think is an ending anyway xD

I think that the ending I got was the most likely thing I would’ve done if it were me so I am finding it hard to do anything else x3 (it’s just the most logical ending)

After playing through again I can not think of a possible route for a happy ending. I feel bad for the MC… no matter what you do something will go wrong… Life is trolling this guy xD

One thing I wanted to do was stop the creation of the device but that would be impossible since the device would’ve needed to exist for you to use it to destroy it xD… Not gonna happen. (Unless you created the device in a manner differently than you did in the original timeline… Head hurts)

Guh, I give up. I tried creating a spreadsheet to keep track of things and unstuck myself (hey, it works with Pokemon!). But I’m still stuck. It’s high time for a walkthrough/a series of hints, preferably rhyming one, like in those old Pink Panther games.

there is a way to something similar to a almost sweet ending but im talking from the beta i judge i don’t buy game yet there are 3 or four endings . And there is one destroy machine ending i believe but i could be wrong i got stuck too back then the lottery and financial info in the newspaper check that to about bankrupt and still with money to fix machine

SPOILERS!

When I played it there was an ending where you let your family die in the crash. An ending where you never got together. An ending where you separated? I’m not sure. All I remember is having to track down my friends and murder them and then destroy the machine. That was the first ending I got. I can’t buy the game so I can’t check. :frowning:

Yeah I don’t think there’s actually any happy endings.

there is a assilium ending there are one you marry another guy who cheat you and divorce one your daughter son are assassinated or just hate you and are drug people … the game is al replay i though the one you destroy machine its the real one you destroy the paradox
