I just got it to work with the browser one, but then I double checked and it didn’t work on my phone so I guess it is only working on the browser one?
I definitely recruited Raul in my second playthrough. He was my ghoul for the rest of the game after helping him release the prisoners. I don’t know exactly what it was that caused him to trigger though. I was playing a Caitiff that was trying to get in good with the Camarilla but I swerved on just that one mission to help the prisoners escape.
Where did this option show itself may I ask?
It’s a nice game, little heavy on the mechanics and occasionally too light on dialogue and romance for my blood. Was also a bit sad that with all the other customisation and the fact that we could upgrade our car numerous times no option was given to get a fancier wardrobe to fit in better with the fancy car and apartment at the end.
What there is was good and Julian sure is a cutie just would have liked a slightly more involved romance on par with say Keeper of the Sun and Moon, lest people get the idea I was asking for a full-fledged romance game here.
But so very cute.
Well…I never read the rulebooks and the only prior experience I have with the setting is the 2004 Bloodlines game, but if that is true I think it is a missed opportunity you can have satisfying romances without sliding into Twilight-esque blech
If I were to venture a guess though even the D&D rulebooks of my time used to discourage romance and I know politically this was done at least in part to escape accusations of being porn (and probably of “promoting the gay agenda” too ) , along with the accusations of being un-Christian “satan worshippers” in the political environment of the 80’s and 90’s in the US.
To conclude all in all a solid game and a 7.5 out of 10 for me.
it is a vampire the masquerade game. In the setting romance between vampires, it is always a very bad idea that almost always end ridiculously wrong.
The rule books first that do is warning that this is not Twilight or another embodiment of Romantic Victorian Gothic novel.
How many generations will you lower if you Diablerize him?
Exactly one, I believe.
Man I really love how dark and ambigious the vampire “romances” were though.
Like Lettow is blatantly seeing his lost love rather than the Courier until maaaaybe the very end of the game? Wow wow (Also makes sense lore wise, because even though my Toreador likes to delude themselves into thinking they’re the next coming of Aphrodite there’s normally no way a wet behind the ears neonate would be anything but a pawn to a Prince)
And Julian…does he actually love you? Is he just whispering whatever sweet nothings you need to hear into your ear to keep you on his side? Did he start out the latter only to slide into the former? It is a mystery. (Also I love and hate how this could also be applied to a platonic friendship / sire/childe bond with him as well as romance, God he is terrible)
How do you diablerize the nosferatu at the start? I always fail by spitting out his blood
For me, I got that option after finishing the last 3 courier missions. Then I think I followed Riga, ended up in the viper, did the story, found that old ghoul and got infected with the blood. Continued on until I got back to that screen where you upgrade between missions. At the bottom is an option involving the blood. Pick it and choose w/e option you’re best suited for. Imo the best one is blood sorcery, since you can learn what it is and then actually use it (though it may need to be at max rank). I think the others won’t let you use it, I could be wrong though.
Though I forgot to say that each time you use the blood to upgrade, you take damage. If you upgrade 3 times, it’s a lot of damage. Worse still is that you only get one blood drinking chance during that intermission. If you drink before upgrading, you’ll almost be at max hunger after healing.
Was this on Steam, webpage or phone app?
Android, though given how Choice games are made I can’t imagine platform making a huge amount of difference.
So, how many ROs are there? Four? Because I was just confused, if only two of the three ghoul options were romances.
Oh, God. And I was planning on romancing the Prince, but the LI doesn’t love MC but the person they remind him of trope is the trope I hate the most. Saaaad ;_;
So are these all the Prisoner choices for Raul? Or am I missing one or two? (This is on STEAM btw)
No Raul
I mean, you can kind of sort of romance the pawnshop owner, and the scientist lady, but since they’re both your ghools at the time? Does that really count? Is that even really ethical that point?, This might be interesting in my own book actually. The ethics.
I’ve been really enjoying this game a lot, but I’m stuck in a sort of never-ending loop now where I have 5 hunger and every time I try to feed, I fail my checks because of my high hunger, so my hunger stays high.
Is there any ‘safe’ way off the high-hunger rollercoaster?
Are you able to pay to feed at The Viper?
I got it! I have a playlist and all ahh I’m gonna edit this when I’m done but I’m so pumped
Oh, right, thanks! That’s a lifesaver (literally lol)
