Out now! "Vampire: The Masquerade — Night Road": Spoilers Inside Thread

My first playthrough got cut off by a bug back when the game released. I’d like to start that game again, but is anything likely to be added that would effect a Brujah playthrough, or is all the upcoming stuff purely new?

Purely new: new clans, new Dove romance, and a new mission in Tucson. Besides going through a new quest/romance, I don’t think a Brujah playthrough will be much different if you started it now or after the DLC

I see. Thank you.

Okay when it comes to Julian you’re sort of kind of implied to have a thing with them it doesn’t matter your background or how you see it. He romanticizes it either way… unless you debase him of the notion by saying that never happened which later I think he gets something that he wrote a romance book to destabilize the masquerade.

Either way he still romanticizes your time together you side with him all the way to the end the game thinks you’re still romancing him but your asexual. Sorry that’s just how it goes. It might be a bug but I don’t think so , can I similar way if you go with the prince. He will always see you as his reincarnated love. Mainly because you ate her and took in her soul. Sorry either way unless you screw them both over and go with the second whatever you call it you usually wind up with one or the other. And inciting with them you it implies a romance or a queer platonic like thing.(I mean even if you’re a girl and they’re guys who would be something like the queer platonic relationship.) You straight guys call it bromance but it sometimes involves holding hands and kissing and usually it’s because you’re asexual a romantic but you don’t mind companionship. I guess it’s a long-winded explanation you probably don’t care though but just letting you know.

I actually think both the Lettow and Julian romances are very interesting because they have the agency, not you, which is something you see very rarely among CoGs.

Quick question I’m doing a high hunanity venture play through and was wondering how to get animialism ive been having trouble figuring it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated

IIRC there are two vampires who are able to bestow the Disciple Animalism: Prince Lettow and Elin Olivecrona. Since the Camp Scheffler errand occurs prior to Lettow’s errand to stop Reremouse, that’s your best bet.

I think Dr. Invidia Caul can also grant you Animalism? Not 100% sure on that, I remember her making a comment regarding how her Sire phrased Animalism. Something about how he used to say you could control both people and beasts?

Can’t remember the exact step by step process, but to learn Animalism from Elin you must side with Camarilla during the Camp Scheffler mission and help Elin pack ship. If you succeed, she will offer you various rewards. One of them being to learn Animalism.

To learn Animalism from Lettow you must side with Lettow over Julian to kill Reremouse.

Be sure to ask what kind of reward Julian has to offer, this will give you the option to ask Lettow what he can offer you. If you do not ask what kind of Disciplines either character has to offer you, then the option to learn the Disciplines they have to offer will be locked out to your Courier even if you succeed.

Succeed at killing Reremouse and Lettow will have the option to learn Animalism provided you asked if he can match Julian’s offer beforehand.

Thanks chief

Invidia will teach you her disciplines provided that you help her fake her death

Oh yeah, I knew that. I just didn’t know if Animalism was one of those Disciplines!

No, but prioritizing human lives can do it. Allowing the modernization of a hospital when you have the chance, working to free migrants imprisoned as blood slaves, saving civilians from a frenzying vampire, et cetera.

I can scarcely believe that the Ravnos will be available as a playable clan. This has never happened before.

In fact, the Ravnos have never showed up anywhere outside of the tabletop and its novels.

It’s a Shame we can’t play as a Tzimisce or Salubri

Out of curiosity, why can’t we see any information for Hecata in the journal? You can click on the page for them but there’s nothing written for them? I was wondering if it fits with the lore or if it’s a bug? (I know nothing about WoD)

Screenshot for clarity

Happens when you go into the journal and click Hecata under clans to get more info.

Looks like they’re going to be one of the stronger choices, too. Just don’t stay in one place.

I dont see a Tzimisce staying as a vampire courier, nor a Salubri surviving 10 years on the road on their own.

Meh, I mean, the courier can be a Ventrue so why not a Tzimisce?

Because Ventrue and Tzimisce view power differently and the means of getting it. A Ventrue would be a courier if that means climbing up the ladder, a Tzimisce wouldn’t care climbing up the ladder and instead find something or someone that they can own.

Does anyone know how I can romance Elena or dove because so far I am playing as male and the only options I got were all about dating or flirting the male characters while for Elana she absolutely just read my mind and said no to calling her ever for sex

Elena, yes, after you ghoul her. “Romance” might be a bit strong of a word when she’s mystically obligated to love you, but the surface features are there.

Dove, not at present, but it’s in the expansion/addition which is now in beta testing.

There’s no gender restrictions on the romances.
