Same for Nossies. Love 'em, but any interaction with people outside the masquerade would have to be rewritten for the yuck factor. Using social to bluff past mortals in the hospital section for instance, would have to be greyed out.
I love Banu Haqim because they are absolute badasses and most if not all clans are afraid or hates them.
My second favorite clan would be the Caitiff (Although Caitiffs are clanless). I love the idea of an underdog maneuvering his way at the top. The backstory of how your PC suffered as a Caitiff when he/she got newly-turned is great, and then it’s more satisfying if you took the ending where you moved to Seattle and establish yourself there as an influential and powerful vampire.
I have not chosen the Seattle ending yet, I’ve only done the one where you go with Julian‘s plan, or the one where you go all sharpie on the vampires with Raul. Though, in that one, I was aiming to become part of the SI.

All in all good stuff, just wish there were more breathers with character stuff in-between all the machinations. Most of all i wish the ghouls and sires had more of a prominent role. Just finished my first run, as a Tremere, and definetely would have liked to see more of Invidia Caul. Now i’m interested to see how the dynamics change with the Toreador and the Gangrel sires.
How do you get yourself bound to a vampire? Haven’t been able to figure that one out yet?
You have to drink their blood three times.
I haven’t done it yet, but I think if you start as Banu Haqim and romance Julian you should be able to get it. You have to drink a vampire’s blood 3 times. So, start as Banu Haqim (Julian is your sire, that’s #1), side with him during the Reremouse mission and ask what’s in it for you. He should offer to teach you, that’s drink #2. Then romance him (be sure to upgrade your house) and you should get drink #3.
Let me know if that works.
I just wish there were checkpoints! My character died towards the end (I think?) and I’m so disheartened.
how did you get the seattle ending?
Be rich and choose the Mobile assets option in the ending.
My first Playthru, my character died, because I think I had too many masquerade bridges? Either way I woke up and got doused in flame thrower. Managed to not die the second or third time though, so that was nice.
Yeah, maybe because of having played the TTRPG of VtM, I have never died and never even been close, because I understand the most important things are the masquerade and humanity. Low willpower could also be a problem as it keeps you from being able to heal because you are always hungry. But it is funny seeing people posting about dying or struggling with the game and I keep thinking … HOW?
More of a lore question, but can you embrace ghools? If so, youde think someone would just make a lot of ghools, bloodbind them, then embrace them into Vampires, then. There you go. Loyal army.
Seconded, never even taken an injury. I only got aggravated injury from activating “the substance” close to the end. A lot of people I think struggle cause they’re trying too hard to be a “human” vampire.
I disagree. I think they’re having trouble because they’re trying to be a super-vampire (using Disciplines all over the place, killing left and right) rather than respecting the verisimilitude that the game is trying to project.
Exactly how I feel … willpower and keeping the monster you are in check is essential to success in Kyle’s game. It actually follows lore pretty good in my opinion.
Some clans do embrace ghouls. In fact that’s the process for being embraced into the Banu Haqim. You, as a ghoul will spend 7 years training and once you’ve proven yourself worthy a ceremony will happen where a lot of Children of Haqim would gather as you get embraced.
That, is really really cool. Is that from the lore?
I wish you would go more into that if you pick that clan for your starter. Would be some cool background and such.
It is from the lore. If you want to know more about VTM lore I suggest you watch The Primogen on youtube and listen to some podcasts in spotify. I recommend Lore By Night and 25 years of Vampire.
