Out now! "Vampire: The Masquerade — Night Road": Spoilers Inside Thread

Raul
-Make sure he survives the scene in the gas station (successfully pass the check when dealing the wight and then let him go afterwards)
-Go to the prison camp, chose to free the prisoners and then chose any option that involves you cutting the fence wires (I don’t think you need to chose to investigate him beforehand, before the patch he always popped up for me if I cut the wires only)

Vani (You need at least two of the three mentioned here for her to turn up in Tucson)
-At the party when you enter the lab either chose to speak to the witch OR look around for spies
-When Caul flips out pick any option apart from talking her down (you need to impress Vani with your -combat / vamp abilities here)
-When exploring the lab chose the options which have you persuading Vani to work with you

My Ventrue’s expected talents regarding schmoozing and hobnobbery, cultivated with Raine since college, certainly paid off in dealing with Invidia Caul, at least initially. He tried to ease Caul into the revelation that her research was being shut down, along with calming her down after her Frenzy and murdering one of her acolytes. Of course, it always is a struggle at the end to decide how to deal with Caul. My Ventrue usually has not developed Obfuscate at that point, so he could not help Caul fake her death. Even if he has started learning Obfuscate, given his unsurprising allegiance to the Camarilla, it is not something about which he would be enthusiastic. Naturally, refusing Caul leads to another Frenzy on her part, but my Ventrue is quite adept enough in subterfuge to hide and quietly slip away to escape the facility. Certainly, my Ventrue is intelligent and educated enough to hack the coolant system and destroy the facility entire. However, on balance, my Ventrue also knows that Lettow would want him to deal with Caul permanently in that case. While my Ventrue could easily talk down Caul after destroying the facility, it would leave Caul as a loose end instead of being the definitive method that Lettow would prefer. One other reason that my Ventrue decides against outright destroying the facility is because of all the potential casualties amongst the staff that could ensue, whether from Caul’s wards or the toxicity of the coolant. It is a combination of such imprecise sloppiness being unfitting of a Ventrue and his Humanitas prompting concern for the civilians. He very well could have walked the Via Equitum subpath of the Via Regalis had he been Embraced in the Dark Ages, after all.

Speaking of Caul, for a Tremere Elder, Self-Control is certainly not one of her higher Virtues, considering how prone she seems to Frenzy. Unexpected, considering that the Tremere do expect self-control and discipline from their members. One might have mistaken her for a Brujah.

I bought the game in the Google play store, and after the patch it says I no longer own the game.

Can you point me to how to get Elena? I can’t even get her as ally…I know…I suck at this game

I wonder why the vampire elders are heading to east like something or someone are calling them.

And also did anyone figure out how to gain xp???

You’ll get xp after each mission (delivery to hospital, migrant camp, etc.)

Here’s why. if you loved Night Road you would love learning all about the lore of V:TM. After I finished the game I listened to some podcasts and fell down the rabbit hole.

No, the Raúl romance is still bugged. I’ve sent an e-mail to support describing the coding error that keeps it from triggering though, so hopefully it will be fixed.

Yeah, I believe there are some issues surrounding Rani’s tasks in Tucson as well?

After playing through few times, I understand the basic premise

Charm or flirt or intimidate Elena at her store, then if she gives you her phone number you will eventually get a quest to help her out. (I think it is, help her talk to one of her suppliers on his boat or something) if you complete that positively, then she can be your ghoul. Just keep choosing to go to her store when you are at The Viper then choose the options to chat with her. Having high Charisma/Persuasion or Manipulation or Intimidation make it easy.

Yeah…I only went to her once…to buy the car…then I never went to her shop anymore…was hoping that she will call me to deliver something for her or something :slightly_smiling_face:

Nope, you need to visit her and speak to her!

It’s a good game, but needs updating: my wolf was constantly referred to as Lobo, even though I selected a name of my own.

That’s normal I believe. The narrative and characters will refer to your wolf as ‘lobo’ instead of the name you chose.

Is the resale value of my car supposed to go down after I get it repaired? Because my BMW i8’s resale value went from $25,000 when it was pristine to $15,000 once it got damaged to $5400 after repairs.

Just played a game as the most non-vampire vampire that almost vampire’d, and was a bit disappointed with the “Second Inquisition” playthrough.

It seemed there weren’t many opportunities to interact with the SI aside from avoiding them, even if you were actively trying to work with them and getting the hostility lower.
And SI didn’t have much of a unique ending. It seemed to cut-off about half a chapter earlier than the rest. Being part of the raid on Lettow’s headquarters would have been my preferred option.

Though the game about being a vampire could probably be forgiven for not indulging in my want to be a hunter (especially if there’s a game about being a hunter scheduled for release later).

I thought that my “siding with the SI” plays were the hardest for sure (especially because I was constantly broke af, having not completed most the the missions in a way that Lettow or Julian wanted) so I couldnt afford a nicer home until close to the end (making it so I couldn’t level Disciplines until.then as well) etc. However, the siding with the SI ending where you have to face both a pissed off/betrayed Lettow and Julian (as much as I love those dudes) was probably my favorite! SO. THRILLING!!! I hope most people trudge through the difficult SI playthroughs to get that ending because it is just so good!

And yeah, I agree that we should have been able to speak to the SI more when siding with them but it wouldve also blown our cover pretty fast, I think…with Lettow keeping such a close eye on us. I also agree that playing a vampire game as a vampire MC and working against vampires probably should be the most challenging route. It wouldnt make sense if it wasn’t. Anyway, it was cool to hear another opinion about the route less traveled  cheers!

There’s an option to send information about the cache to Antonio despite the fact I already killed him at the Biosphere Zone
