See, and I’ve been trying to wait for the next update to play through again but now…nooooowwwwww…
sigh My actual reading list is dying of neglect this month.

The job/missing persons aspect was on my mind because she went willingly and the only casualties was her own apartment and the stuff inside. Ive yet to play so stubborn as to get kidnapped though

The duck scene was hilarious
After Merlin’s lore dump, refuse to accept that anything that happened was real. Keep insisting that it had to be faked somehow.
Ah, okay. I’ll have to do a completely different character, I think, for that to work.
lol turned into a duck. Really first it’s the feathers, now it’s a duck what’s next a chicken
I apologize if this has been asked and answered (I swear I’ve read this thread twice but sometimes I’m a natural cuckoolander and zone out) but is selecting lucid dreamer as your specialty the only way to be a lucid dreamer? As much as I will romance Adrian like a starry-eyed preteen, I will definitely also romance Arthur even harder (in a separate playthrough of course). I just want to make sure I don’t miss any Arthur content (it’s my favorite) and the lucid dreamer Arthur content was swoonworthy. That being said, I don’t want to avoid the more knightly/physical buffs if not strictly necessary. Also, I have played this four times already and am in awe that I find a ton of new stuff every time. Brilliant work.
Yeah, probably; the other powers have uses both in and out of dream, so they’re more powerful; hence, Lucid needs to have enough punch to make it an interesting choice.
So, funny thing (ha… ha) while I was writing up this post yesterday. My computer died right in the middle of it and I was only able to get it back up & working right now. On the bright side, apparently the Discourse forum saved my half written post, so here it is.
Just finished code checking & polishing Part 1 of the fencing route and here’s a little preview (that I’d previously mentioned on the Tumblr Dev Blog)
Thanks for all the comments and stats! So… a lot of ducks in here, huh.
*points to the McQuack Metamorphosis Achievement*
When the time comes, your MC has to absolutely refuse to leave the apartment with Adrian & Merlin. You need a high affinity with Adrian to get the kidnapped route, otherwise that leads to one of the big Dead Ends in Chapter 1.
Otherwise, I was hoping to get the new update ready sometime during December, but considering how long it took me to finish Part 1 and what seems to be inevitable pending computer troubles… the next update might not be until the first half of January.
That does beg the question of which version of the attack…
Luckily(?) it’s the middle of a pandemic, so people are running around with their faces masked everywhere. Otherwise, in the second part of Chapter 2 the MC is due a whole bunch of text messages and phone calls which can range the gamut from “WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!” to “Turn yourself in to the police” to “Please tell me you weren’t home at the time!” depending on what happened back at the apartment complex.
[DATE EXPUNGED FOR CHAPTER 2]
Glad to hear that you’ve been liking Arthur and Adrian. And also that someone actually chose Lucid Dreamer since it wasn’t showing up too much in the stats people have been posting.
@Raptorofwar is correct that the only point where you can take a special talent like lucid dreaming (or photographic memory etc) is during the club sequence of Chapter 1 and that Lucid Dreaming will have a lot of bonus content in the Camelot dream sequences since it’s completely irrelevant in the waking world.
All the paths are too juicy so it might change but my stats for now:

And um not sure if that’s supposed to happen, but you can ask Modern Arthur about dreamwalking even if you didn’t meet Merlin in the flashback.
It causes the ‘You have yet to speak a word’ to disappear. So Yeah, I could def be wrong but, it seems that that one is marking MC as having spoken.
Just wanted to let you know just in case it shouldn’t be happening.
Screaming does tend to show that you’re not mute… So in this case you should specifically point out that you’re not screaming to keep the tag I suppose. I get why it can be confusing though)
@Vasya_Khleb You know…I’m just now realizing it says the ‘Scream’ part Now everything makes sense lmao, yikes. Thank you for pointing that out. Guess i’ll just edit that part out lol
Thanks for all the stats and bug reports!
Hmm… it’s possible for Merlin to tell you about Arthur’s dreamwalking in the real world too, but it probably makes more sense to lock that option to the MC who talked about it with Camelot Merlin.
The change should appear in the next big update, thanks!
I remember answering something related on Tumblr, but the queue is like a week long at this point, so I’m not sure if it posted yet or not (although I try to push the bug reports to the front of the queue).
@Vasya_Khleb is correct that the closet coding is working as expected in that particular variation of the scene. I’ll go back and bold the screaming part to try and make it clearer that not choosing the #…what, no, I’m not yelling like some lunatic when opening my closet means that you’re actually yelling out loud.
Regarding the thumbs-up bit…
*label polo_fancy_clothes_mute
*set mute false
*set silent +1
*set adrian +2
Yeah, something’s a wee bit off with that coding. It should be fixed with the next update. Since a bunch of other options redirected to polo_fancy_clothes_mute too, those will also be (erroneously) turning off the mute flag during that section. (As the label suggests, it’s dealing with conversations with Adrian when you’re wearing some of the fancier clothing options)
So, you’re saying even clothing choices impact the story?
The first branch through the second part of the fencing club route has been finished. So, that just leaves the not-so-possessed branch before the next update. Here’s a quick preview.
Otherwise, thanks for the continued stat posts!
Yes, everything in the early customization scene gets repeatedly referenced. The clothing in particular gets brought up quite a bit. The wilder options tend to get more reactions, but even the plain t-shirt & jeans choice can have repercussions depending upon the choices the MC has made.
And it’s not all just flavor text. For example, my “normal” MC wears a trench coat, even though that’s the reason that the Monster Under the Bed got him.
