You can speak to a fae if you take their language under your skills. All three type speak the same. So it may be possible to trade for a bit of their magic.

Nitesci and Terra are free flying. By removing their wings you break their spirits. So they comply with your wishes. The Penipu are a little different. They cannot truely fly. They flutter and gracefully fall. So removing their wings make them spitefull but their spirit is far from being crushed.

While Nitesci are esay to spot even wingless. Terra and Penipu look the same when wingless so can be dangerous to buy.

Do not fret he lives for the pain. I will be adding many ways to hurt him. Yet there will be at least one option to be kind.

So I am going back and fixing the opening now. But it is time for a break. I plan on getting the rest of the opening done tonight.

Ok I have it down to the flaws page. Will be working on fixing bugs and adding the rest of the flaws. Still tinkering with how I need to break up the flaws and skills as the list of choices is fairly big. Have not had time to add CJWā€™s save system so for now have turned on the password setting. Sorry I now they are long but until I have time to change the save system you can keep your progress.

I fixed what I could tonight, but canā€™t seem to keep my eyes open so heading to bed. Chat at you all later. I-)

So working away and making good progress tonight. Just broke 10k as far as word count. I have all the flaws listed now, but need to go back and fill in all the details and stat changes.

Currently working my way through the skills section, roughly 400 skills. I may trim them down for the opening selection to around 300 or so. In all I believe there will be closer to 700 skills for the game. This will give you a wide choice of how to approach problems. Have them broken down into the following for now.

Adding the skills is a long process, so only have 3 so far that are viewable. Added new features to the stats. Once I have the skills completed will go back and add the rest of the flaws.

Now that I know to work with gosub_scene going back and cleaning up the files as they are getting bloated and hard to track. So may take a few days before I am able to add more content.

I still want to add more to the stat screen but that may be a little later.

What is a Bard?

@Aera Generally speaking, anyway, a bard is a musician/storyteller/poet of a professional nature. Itā€™s a good Gaelic word originally, which started as an insult to traveling songsters but came to be used for professional poets, usually connected to a noble patron.

Iā€™m delighted to see a music-playing option added in! Itā€™s something thatā€™s perhaps not as common in CS gamesā€¦

@Fiogan they will have many skills including playing music. Bards are nice as they can hide their true intentions. They have access to go places few can. >:)

@Lordirish I am delighted! Musicians joy in taking their due, after all. I know back in the day (thatā€™s to say, circa 1200 A.D.) a bard not getting his wages would spend his ā€˜freeā€™ time writing mockeries of his flay-flint patron - and then spreading them round widely.

I think the Bard will be a fun one to play. Yet, far from writing the path as still working on the skills. The skills are going to take a lot of work to build in. Working on a pick lock mini game right now to test the stat. Will post as soon as I have it done for feedback.

I have run out of time tonight to work. I have a very basic, and I mean basic, setup for the lock pick section. You will have to refresh the game each time you beat it as it will not reset the data. Only one list of words to work from. I will be expanding it considerably. It will randomize the password each time you reset. This should give you the basic idea of how it will work.

As far as locks go there will only be a few in the game, nothing worse then a mini game you have to play over and over. Any thoughts?

*edit During the game you will be able to upgrade chips. The higher the chip the simpler the list of words will be. Also if you fry the crystal lock, thatā€™s it no retries. If you should stop after the second try you can come back later and try again.

I still have a bit of work to do on the opening, but will add that typo to the fix list thanks.

Your luck must be high, tried it a dozen times myself for testing and never did get it to unlock. Had to cheat and show the correct answer to make sure it worked. lol

They are modern in some ways, such as the lapstone. They also have banking and a few other comforts. With the world with low magic they adapted in other ways thanks to the Tinker Gnomes.

Being a Bard will raise you Social Skills so yes you will be able to influence people depending on your actions and training.

Took me about five tries before I finally chanced on the right word. Would it be worth it to hide the code words in the text rather than making it so obvious, so the MC can use her brain a bit?

I hide the word in the text at first, it was hard to spot. So I made them bold. I will setup a second test of the same code with it hidden in the screen tomorrow and see what the feedback is.

Alright updated with the second version of the lock. I think it is a bit hard spotting the text then guessing which one to use. However, I will wait on your all,s opinion before coding the rest of the mini-game.
