Nightmares and Decay WIP

It’s would be an understatement so say that the majority of people on this thread aren’t normal.

Let’s all just try to keep this thread on track.

@Nocturnal_Stillness Hm, I’ll take that into consideration. Was it just that one instant, or did Garrett come off as creepy in other scenes to you?

@13ventrm. Just that one instant.

I loved this game so much! I find the idea of an underground society to be so cool. I was sort of like the City of Ember, just with less… apocalypse. Or whatever. The city sounds really beautiful, though c:

You know, I think I’d actually prefer it if Garrett called you ‘honey’. It sort of jarred me hearing ‘dearie’ all the time, because I usually associate that term of endearment with old ladies… not old dudes. As a girl, I’ve noticed that older men usually call young women things like ‘sweetheart’… or ‘honey’, haha. It really isn’t that big of a deal, though, it was just something that distracted me a bit.

Other than that, though, I was SUPER entertained ;D

Now that @potato said that, i do see alot in common with the city of embers.

Does anyone else notice the completely random user named potato who has a picture of ferrets in sweaters… so just me?

Well I look forward to seeing more of this game , wondering what new characters will arrive and yes I agree honey would fit better than dearie , I can’t picture someone who isn’t 60+ calling me that…

It’s okay @Roslyn_samalt06, I noticed the completely random user named potato who has a picture of ferrets in sweaters, too… c’:

Being off-topic here, is the City of Ember a series of three books where people come out of the underground to live with the Sparks only to discover in the end, diamonds that convert sunlight to energy to power Lightbulbs? :stuck_out_tongue:

What completely random user named potato who has a picture of ferrets in sweaters??? :confused: :-"

You know, I haven’t actually finished that series… ; w;

But yeah, those are the book I was talking about.

And happy yes, but no on the “to live with the Sparks” and beyond

Uhh… SPOILER! Good thing, I didn’t reveal the major plot! xD Besides, I’m a random user who’s name is Happy. :stuck_out_tongue:

Let’s try to get back to topic, large amounts of unrelated posts tend to turn off newcomers from the game.

Also, taking a page from Vendetta’s book, here’s the link for the second page of posts: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/91628800/Nightmares%20and%20Decay/mygame/index.html

@Potato Thank you kindly, although upon the next update you may discover that the city has its darker side amongst its beauty.

@Happy I’m afraid I haven’t read those books, and only know the name from a movie trailer a few years back, but thank you for the synopsis.

@Roslyn_samalt06 Ah! It seems you’ve missed a certain little tidbit of neat information. Not to worry, it’s quite easy to miss.

@WiReDcHiMpAnZeE So, aside from bearing similarities to City of Embers, may I ask your overall thoughts on the game?

I liked it, sorry for delay doin my birthday stuff :stuck_out_tongue:

@WiReDcHiMpAnZeE No need to apologize, I hope you have a lovely birthday.

Terrific start! You’ve got a concept I’d definitely enjoy spending more time with – I particularly like the wartime rationing vibe to your magical underworld. And the last few lines promise a lot… look forward to seeing how you realize it.

It doesn’t feel like there’s a lot of meaningful consequence to your choices at the moment, but of course it’s early days. You might want to think about breaking up some of the really long textwalls after you arrive in the city with some choices, even if they’re fairly minor.

My birthday was yesterday, today were getting ready for my party tomorrow and my cousins babies party the same day… i dont know how itll work for a 16 year old and 2 year old to have a birthday party together… O.o

Winny the poo for you then, dont misture the presents could be embarrasing lol

Lol
