I found out about Choice of Games today and have been trying to write a short game with the help of chatgpt. After writing the startup and chapters and placing them in the correct folders I tried to run the game in a browser. But I keep running into the same issue, when I open the index.html file I just get a blank page with some of the original buttons from Choice of Games and a link to try making my own game. I’ve tried resolving the issue with chatgpt up to the point where I tried to write an entirely new index.html file but even that didn’t work. Is there anyone that knows what the issue might be?
After posting this I noticed a related topic beneath my post that gave me a link to R.E. Towers Basic ChoiceScript Guide. I’m currently following that and find it very user friendly and easy to follow. I’ve already managed to test something that worked so that’s a relief after 2 hours of struggling to find anything helpful online. But thanks for the quick response!
