New Hosted Game! "The Great Tournament 2" by Philip Kempton

Yeah you can’t win, the vote is rigged and she always becomes queen regardless of what you do.

So my friend has encountered a problem in this game. Not really sure if it’s a bug but here’s what happens:

So my friend’s character is already married. But when this friend tries to marry another character, then the former spouse seems to disappear without a trace, without any mention of that person, whatsoever. Not sure if this is because my friend encountered a bug or because they haven’t reached the ending yet.

We’re curious about this and would really appreciate some answers.

If you were married and tried to marry another person…I don’t blame your spouse for disappearing without a trace. As for if it is a bug or not, it is possible…depends on the situation. Normally, romance-able characters will let you flirt with them, but when it gets serious they will tell you that they can’t because your married, at least this is the case with the female warrior you meet in valra, but perhaps other npcs have less scruples about you being married. For example, I don’t think I put in this restriction for Semia . Also it comes up under one specific scenario, if you romance Hannah when your married she may offer to marry you so you can become King, but you have to leave your wife.

Thanks. :grin: I’ll tell my friend about it. Though I guess it doesn’t really matter much, as they said that they’ll try to marry all the romanceable characters in one playthrough… yeah. :sweat_smile:

How to romance with Hannah :slight_smile:

Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems that we can’t romance Hannah without of course choosing her hand as a bond.
I have finish the game several times and never succed to get her…
I feel pretty sad about it especially when you chose to lose the great tournament (so Malik become king) having a path full of drama cause you to want to be with each other or that kind of stuff…
Sorry for my bad english

I couldn’t eighter. So we are waiting for Update. But I don’t know where is the update so… I am waiting for a month for update.

Thanks for the great game! Really enjoyed TGT1 and 2!

Here I wanna ask how to play as a knight?
I can play as a prince (Hannah Boon) and Lord (Redwood Boon)
But how to as Knight?

Also wanna ask, General Varys in Swamp Castle, is he the Varys from here? The dung cleaner? lol~

As knight? What do you mean by that?

No cause must have like around 50 years between Swamp Castle and TG1 Hannah’s grandfather was your character in SC

The synopsis for this game said :

“In this sequel to The Great Tournament, continue your quest to defend the kingdom of Magincia. Play as a Knight, Lord, or Prince in this medieval fantasy where every choice you make affects the story. Lead armies in battle against powerful foes or use diplomacy to resolve conflicts.”

Lord is controlling Redwood
Prince is controlling Capital
And Knight?

Actually, the MC became a knight since GT 1 :slight_smile:
Well… No matter what is the status of a Knight in medieval fantasy setting, once a knight …forever a knight , if a knight is elevated to Lord-ship… he/she is a Knight- Lord, if the knight is a King/Queen…then Knight-King/Queen… even as a prince, i am still a Knight-Prince who had sworn to protect Princess/Queen Hannah , as Hannah’s husband and Prince i will aid her in daily courtly duties but as a Knight, i will protect her from all harms :wink: The MC is kind of living a Dual-role :slight_smile:

Varys the general is actually related to the Varys here, Varys’s mom was a kitchen servant and knew the general Varys and it was implied the general might actually be his dad. It was mentioned in the TGT1 multiple times where Varys talks about his name and it was some sort of a joke. In the ending of TGT1 Varys became a general too so it was kinda ironic

@Eric_knight

Is that so? From the way the synopsis written, it’s like there are 3 gameplays, and I actually played 2 (managing capital and redwood).

@Frogs

That’s so interesting.
Please give us Swamp Castle 2!

Btw, anyone won Glory of Valra on hard mode yet?

There is another story for losing the tournament where you’ll mostly play as your child later and be a mercenary. It was actually better than the prince/lord stories

@Frogs
That must be the Knight route!
I’ll try it now!
Thanks!

It’s far from being the Knight route but I agree this is the best story. It also deserve a sub story with Hannah though…

Wuuuuoooiiii

The protagonist’ child route is looooooong

And I bet not many people know this

Hannah is so miserable in this route

Fuck Malik

To be fair, in the child route, there’s no “gameplay” at all
The choices are all fake

Would be nice as a normal novel

But not really a game that is

As short as it was, my fav game from Philip Kempton is Swamp Castle
That territory management was awesome

True you almost always have to pick the right answer or in most case its a dead end

Mayby we can hope for some “improvement” …

Again true but for me it will never be above TG1 who’s one of the best adventure I’ve ever played
