New DLC out now! "Seek and Destroy" in "Werewolf: The Apocalypse — The Book of Hungry Names"

How did you find her antique shop?

I’m not very far so hopefully that won’t be a problem! I’m just having trouble with the skills.
@AletheiaKnights thank you! I loved most of the vampire masquerade games so I hope this hits. It is quite a big game, one of the best birthday buys I had.

Visit her studio after Ch6.

Thank you. So, presumably, you can only join the new tribes after Chapter 6? I usually join a tribe before even recruiting the third packmate.

Yes, that’s correct.

I noticed the Silent Striders give you +1 to Wits but no bonuses for any skill. Why is that? It seems inconsistent with the other Tribes that give you +1 to a skill and +1 to an attribute.

Red Talons also give you +1 to Strength but no extra skill. I think it’s offset by the fact that the DLC adds an extra source of income in the form of Lucinda’s shop, so technically you get extra money to invest in your skills. Though in practice, it is rather underwhelming

True, especially because you can’t get to 4 dots with any skills this way.

So the new tribes don’t give you a skill bonus AND you need to wait several extra chapters before joining them? They seem like they kind of suck, mechanically speaking, trying to balance convictions especially is gonna be hard with a late start. I’m trying to get into the headspace of a Silent Strider but can’t figure out why one would end up dedicating their life to rebuilding a location like you do in this game, so I can’t figure out a personality for one other than “I’m a werewizard”. Red Talons seem easy enough to understand though, I usually play as a smart/social/compassionate character so doing a Ragemaxing playthrough as a Talon will at least be a change of pace.

You should try this run sometimes. It’s fun. You cannot really go tribeless, I think at chapter 9 or 10 before the new dlc exists you must join a tribe.

But you can go without gifts until the end.

Yes, you’ve always been required to join a tribe before the end. But for those of us who do prefer to join a tribe as soon as possible to benefit from its Gifts and enjoy tribe-specific content, it does feel a little weird having to wait.

Any word on when it will be available on the Play Store App?

Silent Striders is one of the tribe that you need to know their lore, their history to fully understand them, many WtA players have trouble RP as them for a good reason.

Of all the living tribes, Silent Striders lost the most, they lost their home, Egypt, and can never return because of the curse, forcing them to be wanderers. Silent Striders can stay in a location for years, join packs, become members of a caern, have kids and all that but there is always a feeling of “one day, all of this will be lost to you.”

And that is their tragedy and appeal.

Nothing has been announced yet. Not sure if there would be anyone working on it over the weekend.

I have nothing but respect and admiration for the author and his stories, but yeah, mechanically they’re pretty crummy. I always like to play characters that are academics/social experts, so Red Talons are a hard pass for me. I wanted to like Silent Striders, but their Gifts feels so whatever (the Copper Mirror, really?) so I’m sticking with my Ghost/Shadow Lord dichotomy

This new build hasn’t dropped on Steam yet? The latest build is still the one on April 11.

Found a bug. I joined the Silent Striders and yet, after the celebration at the Turfside diner, when you receive an object that will allow you to expiate your sin if you anger your Patron, the game thougth I was a Glass Walker.

Send this to support@choiceofgames.com. Include a screenshot if you have one, or as much detailed information as you can.

So they are sad because they can’t go to one small country none of their ancestors have been to for millenia and their main personality trait is generalized anxiety disorder? They genuinely sound like the worst champions of Gaia ever, no wonder nobody ever plays as them. Wouldn’t be suprised if the developer of this game still manages to make them seem cool and relatable though.

Copper Mirror is amazingly useful. Doesn’t sound like much but reducing the rage penalty by one would be worth it just by itself since it comes up so incredibly often. It also increases your min and max rage by one, more or less, making it easier to use gifts without losing the wolf and keeps you from freaking out all the time if you’re unfortunate enough to be an ahroun.
