I’m not saying it’s not useful (I’m actually envious of it because I haven’t done a Philodox playthrough and I’ll never join the Silver Fangs or Children of Gaia, and despite playing as a ragabash sometimes one dot makes a world of difference), I’m saying that out of all the Gifts already in the game, it wouldn’t have been my first choice for the Silent Strider’s tribal gift…nor my second or third. I would have given them Raccoon, or the Hummingbird Prince
Tbf to them, Garou are social creatures and are connected to their pack and home on a spiritual level as they are half spirit. Having no real place to call home and can’t really connect with your packmate fully would be terrible existence for any Garou, they are one step away from being an outcast Ronin Garou.
Silent Striders do have a glorious past tho, they help the Osirian League lead by Horus (a powerful mummy) stop the vampire Antediluvian Set, an incredible feat none of the others tribe can claim. Now they are a shadow of their former self, banished from their home, severed from their ancestors spirit hence their intense hatred for vampires.
They are also among the few tribes that are still in contact with some of the remaining Fera after the War of Rage, on peaceful term with the Mokole due to their pact, on good term with one of the Beast Court and one of the few tribes that choose to make amends with the Americans tribes.
They aren’t the greatest champions of Gaia that is for sure, what they are best at tho is being the only tribe that can go into the Shadowlands, it is rare for a Silent Striders to not have at least one Wraith tagging along, they will generally avoid mentioning such ghosts in front of strangers for obvious reason.
I couldn’t get the new content to work on my first playthrough after updating but got it second time around. Turns out that you need to work a shift in the antique shop as soon as the option becomes available. Don’t worry about leveling up your stats beforehand as you’ll still get a chance to do so before starting the new mission, just work that shift as soon as you see the option. The new content is great and I really enjoyed it. Anybody know if any further DLC’s are planned?
I don’t think so. We knew pretty early on that there were three DLCs planned, and I haven’t heard any mention of another. Also, all the Garou tribes are playable now, so if there were another add-on, it would have to fall outside the established pattern of adding two new tribes. I suppose there could be an add-on that focused on Gifts, social opportunities, and/or sidequests, but as much fun as that would be, it doesn’t seem super probable at the moment.
That’s a shame. I was hoping that some of the other jobs listed near the start might be made available down the line and, hand on my heart, I’d love a side quest solely dedicated to discovering the identity of the mad shitter at Gorsky Manor.
Normally I’m all about being respectful to authors and not making demands, but dammit, Marquis, we need answers.
Dlc is out now in android, the update is available through google play store.
The Lucinda antique shop only appeared once, and Red Talons’ wildcat path goes nowhere, same with Simurgh’s Silent Strider shrine. I am playing in Android, on the individual app, not omnibus.
Apparently Black Fury has the same problem of unable to work with the new dlc, as I cannot make the Lucinda’s antique shop to appear. Does it also have to do with me working for Gorsky Manor, as well?
I got the quest while working for Gorsky Manor. However, I was tribeless at the time.
I believe that to get the antique shop to appear you need to fully restore the city part of where you can earn gifts.
The antique shop should appear after the mission at Esther’s bar. You need to vist Lucinda at her studio to be redirected to the antique shop and when the option appears to work your first shift at the antique shop, take it straight away. I didn’t one time and it never appeared again.
Yeah, Lucinda’s antique shop disappears when you don’t complete it before the attack on your territory and allies (Chapter 7). There’s an option that lets you repair it but nothing happens when you click that. But I was able to force it back using the SaveManager by checking dlc_3_intro_possible
I was able to complete the Lucinda’s antique shop content after Ch7 by making a priority of restoring Rosemary Street.
So, uh, yeah, apparently i have to really do the antique mission as quicky as possible. Finish the first half before investigating the consequences of Esther’s, and then second half after the attack.
Has anyone made the poly work, I’ve tried on three separate runs so far to make poly non and Melodie work and no luck
Me too I start dating Nin normally and when we have a chance to choose which packmate to hang out with and ask Melodie out she says no and to go to Nin. And also can we also date Nomi while having a Poly
No, you can’t do poly with Nomi.
Okay but do you know how to activate the Poly between Melodie and nin
You have to romance Melodie / Nin first, and then when you get the opportunity to talk with your packmates again (like in those two missions above) pick whoever you didn’t pick first, and when they asked “who do you want to romance” pick the third option “I want both of you”
What do you mean by the opportunity to talk to them again? Melodie just says I should take up Nin on that. Do we get another oppurtunity later?
