Day Ten

Today I wrote: 2,000 words
Progress to date: 21,000

The last 500 really took it out of me, heh. And it’s taking more words than I thought to get done with this section. All the same, I’m really glad I’m getting there, and still hoping to have the chapter draft finished by the end of the month.

I hope my comment didn’t read as criticism, because it truly wasn’t! I just couldn’t stop myself from making fun of the bullies, but I can totally see where the stereotypical American school bully comes in. It was a fun read.

Had a really good writing day today - mostly because I totally slacked off at my job. No regrets, though! :stuck_out_tongue:

2k today, bringing the grand total at 18k. Also I think I know who the ROs are.

Not much to report, heh. Just a pretty steady one. I’m mad envious of those of you who can manage 5k+ in a single day! I’ve never been able to do that; it’s just so impressive to me.

If things continue as they are going… By the end of the month I think I’ll just post screens of my notes

Yeah, I forgot that the last month of school is severely lacking in opportunities to write. By the time I’m able to write, my brain power has depleted. Maybe I’ll do a December NaNoWriMo?

My advice is do a Small Nano something like try to do a small story in a month. Nanowrimo has lots of engaging events and promts so it would cheer you have achieved a goal during the event.

I can help you with prompts if you want or need them

Man, I hate writing in English, it just feels so… flat. Granted, my vocabulary is limited, which probably (most likely) is a major part of the problem. I wish I could just write in Finnish and go wild with the laguage, but sadly English is my best bet for getting readers (and it’s worse if I write it in Finnish first and then translate it. I’ve tried that before, and the result just doesn’t flow properly anymore).

I might do a December version where I write a fairy tale per week. That would be refreshing. Also help me with my storybook project, I think I’ll need four or five or so more for that. That’d line up nicely.

Today’s been, again, mostly a slog, but nonetheless a 2k-word slog, and a daily 2k-word slog is better than waiting for inspiration for five years. Also I’m out of practice, so maybe that’ll help reorient my brain. (I had decent tea, though. Finally figured that out.)

Current grand total sits at 20k.

Fav line

“Define strange,” Kozlov says. “I did see Leif going wild after the scent of a small beast at the central park. And he was in the human form. And fell from a tree. That looked blasted strange.”

I may end up shuffling around some characters. We’ll see how it goes. I probably also need to figure out where to put in character customization, but I also think that can wait until I’m at the demo stage.

You are far better than me in English. But I understand your feeling. I struggle with the flat is not the word, I see it as too literal. There is no metaphors or exaggerations.

But, you make me feel jealous with your English level. Everyone is better than me, lol.

That’s just me using English pretty much daily for studies and gaming stuff for over a decade. After just studying it at school for 12 years, that is.

Well, I think you’re both pretty good at English. There are some weird spots, but nothing too bad

Always feels nice to pull ahead of the pace enough to have a day or two of buffer. “In case something happens,” my brain says. In case of what exactly? Who knows?

Didn’t hit my word count for the day. Ran a table top role playing game that took up my night instead. Hope to make up for it tomorrow.

I am still writing every day. But my struggles with my anxiety and all makes that I write really slowly. I feel embarrassed to show my numbers.

But I am so proud of the rest and it is really encouraging for me to keep writing each day.

Then having the stress of the Vampire jam is not helping me but I am dealing with it better last year so That is good to.
