NaNoWriMo - 2016! (add your NaNo name on Post 69!)

Got around 1 000 words written already! Which isn’t much, since I’m a day behind, and I don’t have any way of separating ink code from my prose, so I have no idea how much of that is just code. Boo.

But it’s a start!!

Yeah literally the ending is basically 3 different ones with a slight variation depending on whether the SRT or MRU are in a better position after the attack.

I also recently discovered the fact the “dead azure walking” ending where you go through the end mortally wounded to save the day only for the venetor to finally run out and you die worrying about what will actually happen. Well that ending never actually triggers I have no clue how it passed detection.

Well, I passed 1 667 words, but it’s combined words and code and also the word “Placeholder” repeated a bunch of times, so, uh, that, plus the fact I started a day late, means I’m gonna keep writing today.

I’ve got a pretty good momentum going at least, I guess? I’m hoping I will have something to show off in my WIP thread soon.

Well I’m off to bed, so far on day 2 my total is up to 3415 PLUS I managed to debug everything I’ve written, fix some formatting issues and cleaned up some of the code so yay me! Hopefully I’ll be ready to write when I wake up

Question for everyone. I have 5 pages of research notes I’ve written (by hand) in preparation for the actual writing I planned for today (11-2) do all these words count towards my goal?

All right. 2 000+ words, enough of the demo WIP written to post it … now I sit around and anxiously refresh the forums to see if anyone’s commented. :stuck_out_tongue:

A successful NaNo day, I’d say. I’m going to take a nap.

Stumbles into the chat.

Well, I just came home from work. Now, I just need to learn a bit for my test tomorrow and then I can write again.
I am pleased with what I wrote so far, I mean 7k words are not bad…At least the Prologue is semi-finished… Problem is, I have no idea how to continue from there.
Which is why I am basically switching to the middle/ending of the first chapter for that game.

Grumbles before taking her folders to read more about her test.

Cya guys in around an hour, I guess.

Oh? Well crap, I thought it was only the actual project, looks I’ll have some bonus words to figure out the count on

Well it’s up to you if you count them or not! I count them! I wrote them they count! ALL WORDS COUNT!!!

(If I’m a cheat the only person I’m cheating is myself.)

Well… I’m new to the Nanowrimo thing. Though I know November is national novel writing month. na no wri mo scratches head I suppose I’ll just try to get chapter 2 done on Monsters, and if I accomplish that, go from there. Of course work-work always kicks off my months, so I can never get started in on things right away the way I want. Still, I suppose I can keep track of how many words I write this month. Yesterday I achieved 1,152… though part of that was copy/pasting. Sure, why not- I can try the 50k words thing too. Although …unofficially? I mean, if there’s some sort of officialness to it. I just want to have a fun goal; not stress myself out about how far along I am.

Question;
It’s just the amount of what we write that counts, right? It isn’t necessarily restricted to one game at a time?

Depends if you’re a purist or a rebel.

I’ve decided to be a rebel this year so that I can participate. I’m going to count work from various projects including the added scenes I plan to write for LH3. I’d rather be a rebel and participate than be a purist and skip a year.

We’d rather you participate too. Getting LH3 to the testing phase is just a bonus none of us figured would ever happen

ya…uh huh. Meanwhile, I procrastinate.

I’m struggling atm. Just finding it difficult to get in the right mindset. So yesterday I just went to watch Dr Strange to take my mind off things

You can do it! I have faith in you :hugging:

Thanks. I’ve really struggled to get back into a writing mind ever since the fire. I even arranged a weekend away to get some time solely to write but my wife nagged me until I let her and the kids come and I got nothing done sigh

Have you tried writing about the fire?

Sometimes an issue that stops other writing can best be dealt by writing of that issue. I don’t mean your personal fire per se but “the fire” can be used to help you get over this pause.

Either way we are all here for you and supporting you.

I’m rebelling this year as well. Last year I lost because I couldn’t focus on just one project, and this year is no different. I have a few projects I’m going to work on, but the one on the nanowrimo website is my “main” project.
