I think a lot of people in this thread don’t understand the process by which these games are written. CoG doesn’t hand out assignments to writers. They give writers the opportunity to pitch games, and then they decide together which pitches they want to take to contract; for these games, representatives from WoD would also have a say.
They can’t just give a Werewolf game to Jeffrey Dean; it would be Dean making the decision whether to pitch another WoD game, and his decision whether it was a werewolf game, another vampire game, or something else altogether. And no, they can’t switch the authors on games that are already under contract. First of all, with The Book of Hungry Names tentatively scheduled for release later this year, and both games having Steam pages with commissioned artwork, it’s safe to say they’re both quite far along in development. More importantly, though, changing authors wouldn’t be like telling someone stocking shelves that he’s needed at the register, it would mean taking a story that author conceived, developed, and nurtured away from him, and that’s not something they’re going to do.
