@Sherlock221B What was specifically mentioned was the idea that fictional characters are incapable of consent because they’re written by the author… I don’t know why you’d bring that up except as a reference to well… consent, and everything that entails. It’s the only time I see that word mentioned in relation to romance. So I suggested that Bolt consider everything that entails.
It’s not about viewing the options within the game as potential basis for assault. It’s the fact that it was mentioned that the characters themselves are apparently incapable of giving consent. The fact that it was said, verbatim, that “you can make them say yes somehow no matter what” is literally what assault is and doesn’t help the case.
But, honestly, this is starting to get off-topic.

Getting back on topic…
Does this mean that a wendigo MC isn’t aware of their true age? I’ve had this suspicion that a wendigo MC spent… a very long time lost to the nature of the beast. I don’t know who or what might’ve managed to pull them back from the edge considering it seems to be very easy to let go and let the monster take over. Taking a dive is easy. It’s climbing back out of the pit that’s hard.

On the subject of Taylor:
I think it would be interesting to have an RO who is only interested in the emotional spectrum, with no interest in lust at all. Though my incredibly insecure Wendigo may interpret her being rejected as a sign that she is unlovable and further cripple her emotionally, all my other characters would probably be pretty cool with it (poor Wendy always gets the short stick)
Although, I think I read somewhere that new scenes were added for Taylor? I didn’t see any, so I’m wondering if they’re only for male characters

I think it was mentioned somewhere in the thread ages ago, but iirc then the wendigo MC spend at least 200 years being in “feral-mode” in the woods.
I think the only way they would know their approximate age is how they remember the world compared to history books/what they’ve been told about their peoples history.

That’s something that was on my mind when I was writing everyone. I wanted to give them a sense of agency, so that they aren’t sitting around waiting to be chosen (to talk to, to date, to be part of YOUR story.) I’m happy it’s working as intended.
I am one of those people who made a real cake for my virtual girlfriend in Hate Plus. I said I’d make her a cake, and by God, I wasn’t going to lie to her.
I’ve been thinking about that since my announcement last night. It could easily come off as “this game has a vampire, a werewolf, and a Nonbinary Asexual” - and no, Taylor’s primary attribute is still “the only human in the main cast”, I’m just solidifying her character so I can write her more clearly. This has been a problem since I first added her. The science, her obsession with monsters, and her relationship with her mother all fell into place; her gender and her role as an RO have been harder to figure out, but this feels right.
It was her foster parents. During a lucid moment, she ran into a couple of humans who didn’t scream and run, but instead recognized what she was and offered to take her in. Since then, it’s been a long hard road of already-dead rations and coming to terms with two centuries of psychosis. I’ll figure out when to work in that information more clearly; it is important.

I’m assuming this is mostly exclusive to Wendy? Psychosis sounds like a hard thing to write in without taking away some agency from a player rolling a wendigo MC. Unless we’re saying that there was a state of psychosis and now they have to deal with the repercussions of it. We already know Wendy suffers from PTSD, so I’m leaning towards that. Speaking of which… do Wendy and/or the wendigo!MC remember what they did during that feral state? Or is it more like trying to recall a dream?
I, personally, would support the wendigo!MC having a dream sequence recalling something horrible they did… ‘horrible’ being a subjective word. An MC with a high humanity, like Callum, would likely see it as a nightmare and would probably be crying out for the dream to end, while an MC with high monstrosity would likely relish in the freedom they once had. To hunt and feast without inhibition.
It’d be a good way to try and give some more background to them, I think. The 'cubus is another I’m also curious as to what their background might be.
You know, I was viewing Taylor as merely there, and/or groupie, but now this fleshing out has made me really see her. And that, besides the attraction to extreme otherness, there does seem to be genuine, individualistic reasons behind befriending each member of the monster squad. Brilliant.
I was also proud that my very first like ever on the forum went to this thread and a post containing the word succubus…
