Monsters of New Haven High - last update 4/02

My favs are
Demon
Vampire
Wendigo
Werewolf
Goblin

Mine are:

Vampire
Demon
Werewolf
Goblin
Wendigo

My favorites:

  1. Goblin: I can either go the cute, bubbly inventor route or the mad scientist route. Lots of fun to be had. Also, as the nerdiest monster, I connect with it the most.
  2. Werewolf: I like how the pack politics give this character much more to do outside of school. There are more friends and enemies to be made, and finding a balance between the extended family and school obligations is challenging.
  3. Wendigo: I’m a sucker for sob stories. I love the tragic backstory and the potential for redemption.
  4. Vampire: Despite it being next to last, I really enjoy it. It’s the most flexible option; goblins can’t be too evil, demons can’t be too nice, wendigos have a hard time fitting in, etc. The vampire can be any of those.
  5. Demon: I just find it boring. I’m asexual, I don’t care about a character that feeds on sex. Nothing personal.

My favorites

  1. Wendigo: Her story is the most depressing thing of all time. Not sure how much of it is my input and how much is the game, but every time I’m playing as her I feel like I’m the victim in an anti-bullying PSA. Everyone hates her; including herself. I just want to give her a hug.
  2. Vampire: While I like the Wendigo best, my main character is the vampire because I have the most in common with him. Takes life seriously even in high school, has a ā€œbig pictureā€ mindset, values society over individual lives, and while he’s very polite he thinks he’s better than most of the people around him (probably says something unfortunate about myself)
  3. Goblin: Because I like smart people. That’s pretty much it. Also, loved the ā€œthe teachers figured out awhile ago that you know more about lab safety than they doā€ line for study hall. Don’t know why, that just made me laugh.
  4. Demon: Granted, the canon demon I hated a lot because I hate that kind of character, I like my version of her. Someone who just forgets that negative emotions even exist; everything is happy and joyful. She loves everyone around her and wants to make everyone’s lives better and is always perky and upbeat and the light of everyone’s lives. I’m probably breaking the game by having her care about people as it stated demons have no feelings; but I don’t care. I like this version more.
  5. Werewolf: He’s just a typical nice guy athlete. Never puts anyone down, is loyal to his family, puts a lot of effort into everything he does, and is overall a good guy. Boring. I’ve only played through his story once because of how simple he is.

When were we able to sign up for that? I would have loved to help test the beta

Not sure, probably january or march.

Well, I’m going to go feel bad about myself for the next week or so

I started a trend it seems xD

List-a-mabob

Goblin ( #Robot Uprising And Frankenstien bodyguard) Best
Demon ( Screw persuasion stat, feed me love!)
Wendigo (I’m so hungry and weak… Oh wait, forget that last part)
Vampire (I took my parents money. Yay me. I also am too main blood stream #Twilight )

My list:

Vampire: Pretty weird since I completely hate Twilight
Werewolf: Again with Twilight
Goblin: I love smart people
Demon: Not that much into sex right now
Wendigo: Nothing against the wendigo just that it doesn’t complement with my gameplay style.

My official list

  1. Wendigo: While I’m curious to see just how self-loathing you can be, I’m more interested in seeing a character who, despite hating what she is and what she needs to do, is at her heart an optimistic person trying to do the right thing.

  2. Succu/Incubus: A nice demon is such a novel concept.

  3. Goblin: All that can be said is mad scientist.

  4. Vampire: I want to see how much you can buck tradition and pursue ā€˜human’ interests like art.

  5. Werewolf: The whole pack mentality seems a bit too cultish for me.

wendigo a creature of immense power and immortal beyond most immortals nearly indestructible by nature should it die it is capable of possession of others. It consumes human flesh to live (technically doesn’t need to ever eat, but will wither away to a near 90 pound weakling) suffers from a never ending hunger and gains strength when it eats more often can sense others like it at a short distance away and can sense malice feelings. typically at home in war time environments
but have also been know to be a loner in non war environments save to feed typically if around other very social and prideful

Note the possession capability does not always translate to all the stories wendigos are in as such depending on the story there in they might not have that advantage and it is a power they can only preform on those with lesser wills and they being who is unfortunate to be posses cease to exist and there soul is destroyed

-Begin false moral outrage- I take offense to the 90 pound weakling comment! My girlfriend is less than five feet tall and weighs [data deleted for my own safety] Long story short she’s tiny and a hell of a lot stronger than you’d think. Little people can be strong too.

That being said I know exactly what you mean, Wendigos get all emaciated and start hating on He-Man when they don’t eat. (For those of you too young to know this, that was a Skeletor reference)

i was a he-man fan as a child ran around with a sword and would shout that often…and i also wore a lot of pink as a kid…real men wear pink!

^This man…this man understands.

By the power of greyskull?

Now that I’m older, and have seen more of the world, it dawns on me that fighting legions of evil while wearing nothing but a speedo is highly inadvisable.
That, and bowl cuts don’t work that well in real life. How He-man pulled it off, we may never know…

I’m playing two different runs, Male Goblin and Female Werewolf. With the Goblin I just love having him being well behaved, a little shy, polite and nerdy but also pretty much crushing on all the girls to an extent. Though I like him most with the Wendigo, those two seem to gel together.

Werewolf I haven’t decided who she likes yet, but then she’s more concerned with the football game and the circumstances surrounding her pack now.
