Monsters of New Haven High - last update 4/02

I noticed that if we type in a name then decide to go by a nickname, people still call you by your full name. Does anyone call the MC by their nickname?

The Naga sounds awsome.

I dunno. I’m not really a fan of the ā€œpair the sparesā€ trope. (Caution: TvTropes link)

Moar.

MOAR!

Not meant to be pushing, just want to say I really love this one and keep up the good work Sashira.

True, true. Naga it is then! :dragon:

I guess only Bioware can pull it off… I thought that Garrus/Tali was adorable and Bull/Dorian was amazing! Just the conversations you could have with them about it.

What if you could play matchmaker for the homecoming dance, say you’re a demon and want to set someone up. So you just subtly push the goblin and wendigo into each other to see if sparks fly.

I don’t know why I picked those two. I just see them as the cutest couple for some reason since they’re both social misfits.

Ding That’s racist.

Hopefully someone gets the reference…

To stay on topic, how goes working on Day 2?

there is one species i would like to play as, lycanthrope, similar to the werewolf but can change at will and still keep humanoid form.

I don’t really think it is worth adding in, It is too similar to werewolf whereas other suggestions are really different from what is already available like a witch or kitsune.

It is kind of funny though how some people are lauded as heroes for complaining about prejudice even when they’re doing it in such a way that it’ll only make things worse while others are chastised for simply politely pointing out how something could be viewed as insulting.

shoelip, focus on the real topic here please.

Ok, this might be a weird choice for a 6th race but what if you added in… Android. It would be a man-made monster but a monster all the same. It could also work in terms of using the Theatre as the room it hangs out in. It’s trying to learn to act like a real human. Finally it’s home life could be a choice determining whether it’s creator views it as a child or simply a tool.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I think the Garrus/Tali thing is adorable (I haven’t played Inquisition yet), and if your character wanted to play matchmaker, I could see that being pretty neat. I think I’m just wary due to the number of stories I’ve seen/played/read where background characters (or even main characters) are paired off for no discernible reason, frequently when they haven’t displayed any ā€œon-screenā€ chemistry or even interactions. I trust Sashira to write better than that, though, so whatevs.

Well, the issue with an android is twofold
A. Humans can’t make them yet. (Goblin tech seems like It’d closer, but I don’t think their boys are self-aware)
B. This story focuses on the supernatural, while an android dwells within science fiction. Adding an android to the story would pull it away from the original focus, supernatural monsters in high school.

I too have wished for a game where you play the role of a self aware humanoid machine. There were two WiPs whose names I cannot recall that followed this path, yet both died.
Sniff
It was a sad day…

I was thinking that it would be a way to also seem like all the characters are connected to each other and living their own lives while we live ours and date whoever.

CinemaSins. Watch it pretty often myself, how would I not get it? XD

We could do a Frankenstein think I think that would be really cool

im sure zombies are out of the question, they are dead and the vampires already have the dead thing going on and the wendigos have the flesh eating thing down lol XD.
