Me too. I am about three steps away from trying to obtain a lock of Allen Gies’ hair to keep in a locket.
Are they? I was just trying to balance a reasonable amount of diversity without going into “Hey guys, if we stand together we create a perfect rainbow of all possible minorities!” territory.
To be fair, pretty much the only other Eurasian character I can think of off the top of my head is Butler from Artemis Fowl. For those of you that didn’t read that series when you were a kid. Butler is the main character’s butler/bodyguard and is described as Eurasian. He single handedly takes on a ten foot tall sasquatch monster that has paralytic saliva, and giant talons using an antique set of armor and a mace. So my opinion of that ethnicity might be a bit biased.
Hm, is this similar to how it is ignorant to call a human “Oriental” (though it is a fine description for objects like rugs)? I have to admit, I have never heard of a “Eurasian” human before now, so I didn’t know. I would think of these people as being “mixed-race/Asian”, so “Asian/European” is a decent description if the other half appears to be “white”.
Artemis and Hunter in particular are Americans with Japanese ancestors, who probably have Europeans (Eastern and Western) plus a few Native Americans in their history, like many American mutts. If there’s a good word to describe all of that, please fill me in.
I’m curious and don’t really feel like combing 800ish posts for the answer. I assume Goblins and Werewolves eat relatively normally. What about Demons, Vampires and Wendigos? Are they capable of eating but still need sex/blood/soylent green to live, or can they just not eat?
@Shoelip Yeah, I know I’ve really got no idea what the appropriate term for mixed race individuals are. My roommate is half black half white and I give him crap by asking if his race name is blite or wack.
I hadn’t actually answered that specific question. Vampires and wendigos can’t eat normal food. Demons can - basically, the next time they teleport, they leave a pile of chewed food behind. They can eat and taste but not gain nutrients from it.
It only comes up on rare occasions (and if so, they could always go to a bathroom between eating and teleportation.) Normally, people assume Chantal/Caleb doesn’t eat in public because they are popular and their diet is a closely guarded secret. People assume it is anything from raw kale greens to cigarettes and vitamins. But if pressed, yes, demons can eat.
Victoria and Wendy’s MC equivalents will encounter situations where it is very weird that they cannot eat. This is one reason I made the wendigo take home ec.
For the title: SPOOKY SCHOOL. lmao maybe not. You could always do something like a retro monster movie: IT CAME FROM THE CAFETERIA.
Wait wait wait…
HELLCOMING
Now there’s a (silly) idea, but only if the homecoming stuff you mentioned in the game is really important.Tbh without knowing what exactly the plot is going to entail, I can’t really say for sure. I think it would help if the title had something to do with the plot beyond it taking place at a high school.
