Monsters of New Haven High - last update 4/02

I just saw the scene with the vampire confrontation with the twins. Their reactions certainly were interesting; makes me wonder if it involves some event with one of their own parents (who they are closest to), who may not want either of them to be hunting monsters yet something has driven the twins to feel like they HAVE to. Which leads to a conflict of emotions about what they’re trying to attempt and hearing the vampire’s story ended up hitting too close to home and them even more uncertain about what they’re doing (or some of their feelings toward monsters).

Is it strange that I feel like the Wendigo and the Demon seem to have a lot in common? Their diet has a strong impact on how they live their lives and how they interact with humans in particular. I actually have a lot of fun being a Incubus who has a high amount of humanity and likes Wendy in particular, since I always choose that he genuinely cares to his partners, but can’t really stay around them too long without eventually causing harm to them. Makes me look forward to how difficult it’s going to be for him to stay close with our resident Wendigo (and whether other demons will find a demon with high humanity either really strange or really stupid).

I love being the Werewolf the most though, who has a crush and is trying to be really close to Victoria. I imagine that the pack will not be pleased to see a potential Alpha getting too close to a Vampire or the other Vampires being too keen of Victoria allowing a wild dog so close to her. I also been imagining a scene where when she like the MC enough, Victoria ends up deciding to make the MC a model for reasons (insert ‘paint me like one of your french girl’ jokes here :laughing:).

It seems clear to me that someone close to them, most likely family member, was harmed, or even killed by a monster as well.

They do react the same way to the Wendigo, but in a way, the Wendigo’s is more tragic…after all, to survive, she had to consume human flesh, and from the way it was given, it seemed like it was her own mother’s…

Just a guess, but probably not to long. After all, a demon can kill a human after to many feedings and the Wendigo in game is already on thin rations as it were. Take to much of her energy…it has tragedy written all over.

That’s where things get tricky and interesting for both a Demon and Wendigo who are interested in each other; the Wendigo is on such low energy, that a demon that genuinely cares about the safety of their partner would probably feel highly reluctant toward the idea of draining their energy, and may even refuse to do it at all for the sake of keeping the Wendigo partner safe. And the alternative of seeking energy from other humans isn’t likely an idea to sit well with the Wendigo who wants there full, but any partner would probably be conflicted since (once they are aware of what incubus/succubus need to survive) they would know they’re effectively making the Demon starve if they try to limit their ability to access their food source.

So if the two wanted to stay together, there would have to be a lot of communication and compromises on both of their ends if they’re determined to find a way to make the relationship work. In fact, there would have to be a lot of on it a Demon MC’s (one with a great deal of humanity and who genuinely cares about their partners) end for any of their potential partners from school.

I don’t think the 'cubus can feed off a Wendigo at all. Human as they might look, Wendigos no longer count as human. 'cubi feed off of human emotion and lust. If a 'cubus!MC were to pursue a relationship with Wendy, they wouldn’t be able to survive without finding other lovers. I think monogamy is out of the picture if you want your demon to survive that relationship. :slight_frown:

Regarding how other demons would view a 'cubus with high humanity… They’d probably raise an eyebrow and mock them. They’d likely see the whole ‘demon with a conscience’ act as a sham. Technically, I suppose it is. A compassionate 'cubus essentially taught themselves to behave and act a certain way. IIRC, they’re not really… built for that sort of thing. From the codex:

… However - a hypothetical 'cubus who developed a conscience would have a hard road to travel, as anyone they cared for too much or spent too much time with would die.

@Lithophene

So a demon who has learned to be empathetic would have to be really careful toward those they care about (certainly can see why it’s rare for demons then; it probably gets a tiring being careing and careful wit loved ones on a daily basis). Still sounds like a interesting oddball Demon to watch though; I want to see how these difficulties get addressed during the story.

I wonder if the difficulty of such bonding and caring extends to even their human friends?

Does our wendigo can turn into that like super big monsters with large mouths or nah?? I’ve been playing until dawn. Edit: the game until dawn, not me actually playing until dawn. That makes no sense.

I really want to cuddle with Wendy.

Despite the fact that she’ll probaly bite my face off,I still want to cuddle with her.Especially my version of her,a loner who just wants to be a normal human.

Is it OK for me to say I actually thought you were a floating, evil eye? :sweat_smile:

I mean, the eye is cool-looking, but it feels like it’s always trying to stare into the depths of the soul when it’s on the same page. :fearful:
