The whole game is basically Len frantically looking after Asterius and the MC who act like overly-excitable children most of the time. He already has to put up with that. Raising the village as his children would be waaay too much.
Yes it was meant to be raze I’ll change it at some point.

I’m not completely convinced that we’re in a game,which is good actually,cause you can make it a plot twist.
More importantly, I wonder who else will join our merry band.
Here’s a question I forgot to ask earlier are Asterius and len the only romances?
Yup. I’d love to write more, but it wouldn’t make sense within the plot (you guys will see when you play it)!
But I will say this: the romances aren’t sub-plots. In fact, choosing Asterius or Len is probably the most important decision you make in the game. I always dislike playing games and thinking ‘oh I wish I’d seen more of my love interest,’ or feeling the romance was only included as a feature rather than being important for the narrative. Whoever you pick as your love interest has a large effect on the story as a whole. So pick wisely!
Also, am I the only one who gets incredibly flustered when writing romance scenes? I just wrote the most suggestive thing yet in the game and I’m sat here like THOSE WORDS CAME OUT OF MY BRAIN. WHAT HAPPENED?

I’m kinda suspicious of Asterius considering we can pick their gender but not Len’s…
In terms of gender-planning for the love interests, I figured that if Len’s whole character is a parody of the teenage-angst-trashy-supernatural-novel-vampire thing, it really wouldn’t make sense for him to be also female. The vast majority of those vampire characters are male, from my experience. I had a friend who used to be obsessed with the supernatural YA books. Len’s kind of the amalgamation of all the things she used to rave about from those male characters. Also I figured I wanted a male character because if he wasn’t there the first 110,000k words of the game could just be filled with female characters (not that there’s anything wrong with that!)
Also, I originally intended for Asterius just to be female when I planned it (lol you should have seen what the potential names were when I was brainstorming, I was naming them after a bunch of classical princesses), but decided that Asterius didn’t really need a gender for their character to work. Hope I was right!

I honestly thought they were written with a male in mind… With the cliche movie seduction, embarrassment about virginity(?), excitement to kill rats, though the white knight accusation kinda threw my perception off…
So no angsty vampire Rin? Darn… Is there at least a Rin for Len to kill?

Well he gives me vibes of a softer, lighter; fluffier and more mature Kylo Ren from Star Wars The Force Awakens with his over emotional and dramatic behavior and his obsession (?) with the capes, not to metion the perfect hair (well at least for me xD)
I really can’t wait to explore both of the characters, their dynamic and romances.
Yes, there is something a little like that. And also, I want to give you a medal for assuming that fem!Len would be named after the other vocaloid. Len wasn’t named after the vocaloid (total coincidence), but ever since I came up with that joke for Asterius to say I’ve always snickered at the comparison.
Kylo Len, eh? I’m a big star wars fan, absolutely adore the video games from Bioware/Obsidian but that thought never crossed my mind. Prob because I started DWMU before TFA came out. Tbh I usually imagine the characters to look like miscellaneous anime characters merged together, but I do that with most books.
Well, if you like Len, buckle up. I just wrote the scene today where you sleep with Len for the first time, and it bloody killed me. I was flustered by my own fictional character, I felt like an idiot. Facepalm. This wasn’t supposed to happen. I had to walk around the house to calm down. It’s now one of my favourite scenes in the game, and I feel very pleased with how it turned out. This was a good day.

Anyways, one of my favorite WIPs that I have played! If you really do have most of the game done, then I am counting the days until the full version comes out. Oh and that little pun on Gaben the God, perfect.
