Post up any bug reports here so that I can get to work on fixing the game. I am pretty certain that there are plenty since the game’s size is huge and a single playthrough doesn’t let people see everything at once. Thanks and welcome for supporting my work.
Edit: I’m changing the title a little since people are now starting to use this thread to ask game questions as well. This will be helpful for those who are having the same problem with clearing certain sections of the game.
I had a bug where my stats didnt increase after training as such but was good after I restarted. Amazing game btw. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward for future projects.
I…I think I’m stumped with this one. Your stats don’t increase immediately but when you restart, the stats are correct? Your game isn’t affected in any way?
Sorry don’t know if this is the right place to ask this but here it go’s. How to read the encrypted messages? Also I like the game, and have done 2 playthroughs
No problem with that. People have asked about the messages since the game was in demo and to further pre-empt all questions asked about the puzzles in the game, here are the links to solutions to each puzzle.
This isn’t really a bug but I just cannot get past the last beast fight on the president mission, no matter what I change I just keep getting my throat slit and it’s really annoying that i cannot get past.
Thanks so much.
BTW no first puzzle answer, when you are defending the president it
gives you
an option where they will attack and you have to write something.

First playthorugh the stats did not increase after trainings. Then when I restarted the whole game after wrong answer during president mission, the stats increased after trainings. Didnt have any problem during stat check though before and after restart.
Sorry - not sure this is the right place to post this.
I was wondering if anyone who has managed to collect the second artifact from the forest could help me to do so. I haven’t been able to, even after multiple playthroughs.
More to the point, I can’t seem to be able to move past the screen in the image attached
Ah. that screen. I’ve added that one because in the original playtest, there were some complaints as to why the game suddenly ended with a nuclear explosion. You need to complete a certain number of objectives throughout the game so that you can continue. The questions in the second paragraph serve as a checklist of objectives that you can refer to in order to pass this section.
Here’s a more detailed rundown on the timing mechanics that I used in the end-mission. Spoilers abound and there’s some mechanics involved.
The timing mechanics are as follows. most of the objectives add a +1 to the timer calculation. The higher it is, the more time you have to accomplish your mission since you are racing against time to stop the third gate from being activated. {/spoiler]
Securing the first gate (+1)
Securing the second gate (+1)
Securing the artifact fragments (+2)
Rescuing the President (+1)
Retrieving the mystery information (+1)
Discovering the enemy’s plan in Zawame Tower (+1)
Letting Edgar go and asking him for his help before the end-mission starts (+1)
You need a minimum of 4 points in order to pass this section. Hope this helps you and others who are having trouble with this part
Please note that even if you get pass this section, the timing mechanic is still counting down so if you delay too much, you can still be game-overed without warning.
A question, is there any way to protect the president and go to the
museum? I tried to secure the museum but the president got injured
and i was jailed.
Also any way to save the scientists in the tower
and deactivate the bomb?

It’s one of those situation where you have to choose between. sorry. You either save the President or you go to the Museum. If you prevent what’s going on in the Museum, you will be let off with a sort of warning at least. The safer route to take is the President bodyguard situation
Yes, there is. The tower mission is a timed chapter actually so certain actions carry a larger time penalty compared to others. You can try skipping the tech development floor IIRC since that floor is entirely optional although it might make certain actions impossible.
I want to enquire if it is possible to save Morgan. She died despite me managing to remove the shadows from her using my magic. She fought alongside us for a while and then dropped dead.
Thank you for the rundown of the mechanics; it helped immensely, and I’ve managed to move past the screen.
With that said - having finished the game, I would be remiss if I didn’t comment on the brilliant writing, the fleshed out characters, and the fantastic diversity. No doubt Magikiras will become a CoG classic among the best of the best.
