Probably everyone is brutally massacred by magic tree without even knowing that it was a magic tree that killed them.
Honestly,I believe that both Wen and Mrs.Dupree would have been dead because MC was not their to save them, Gunther would also have died a horrible death because without MC he wasn’t able to get his battleaxe to free himself from magical furniture, the only people who lived would be D and L out of which D would go straight to Lux after surviving the inn and L remained alone to start new life somewhere else or dying by going into firstwood to fight the dryad to take revenge for their family, out of which I believe that L would choose the 2nd option because they are an emotional person,so the only person alive in the end would have been D.
Now,that I think about it without MC evertree inn is an epic horror story.
Had the same issue with Gunther. We had a pretty good relationship at the end of Sordwin but when we met in Lux he was really cold and distrusting towards me…
Please @ThomB do look into it…
If you’ve skipped Evertree Inn, you can read about what happened to it in the newspaper on Night 3. In short, everyone is dead and the attack is blamed on bandits. Sordwin doesn’t do much better without MC either.
Now I’m tempted to hold off until @ThomB finishes the very last part, so I can start a fresh character and see just how much havoc I can bring upon the world by my mere absence.
hey there, so i was playing through Lux and, aside from the gunther glitch which i know has been brought up, i ended up with Winter coming to my mc’s apartment on Day 2 instead of Orion. i’m unsure if this is a glitch or just random encounter, considering i was hardcore romancing Orion at the end of Sordwin (and had the brief fling with Winter at the beginning of Sordwin).
when i played the beta/demo, i got Orion every single time aside from when i created a character who ONLY romanced Winter. if anyone could let me know if it’s just a glitch or a random encounter or smth i did wrong please lmk! i’m super curious as to why this happened and am also starved for Orion content.
This part caused Winter to appear, unfortunately. I had thought that you’ll need him as your RO but apparently being betrayed or having sex with her counts too.
i knew that was gonna bite me in the ass later but i couldn’t help the drama… thanks so much for clarifying, i’m gonna have to replay without doin that then!
Joining in the pile-up of whhhhyyyyyy щ(ºДºщ) when Winter shows up instead of Orion during the continuation of my “perfected” canon playthrough.
Damn you hanky-panky, when it was Orion’s romance flag that was triggered, Orion had a much higher relationship stat (not that it was very hard with Winter ending Sordwin with a whopping rating of “1”), and Winter and the MC literally trying to kill each other the last time they interacted.
Lord Imperion sure sent the wrong guy if he was trying to lure my MC into doing another job for him.
I knew Orion’s route would hurt a lot but honestly he’s my favorite character out of the entire series! There’s so much hidden depth to him that both terrifies me and makes me want to get to know him better. Just finished book 3 today, now we must wait :’)
So… the careers. For people (like me) with somewhat balanced builds and no dumpstats from Sordwin/Evertree, they really harm more than help.
The career’s main stats are often the ones that are relatively high, and due to fairmath increase very slowly; while the career’s dump stats often take a moderate stat value down to unusable.
Which is a pity, because they are so well written…
The intention is that if you embroil yourself in Winter on Sordwin, you will find it tough to extricate yourself! Also, Orion doesn’t like Winter so involving yourself with the changeling in any way puts O right off. That much is correct.
I will double check the code to ensure Orion routes aren’t getting blocked unintentionally, but ultimately I think it is working as planned. Sorry, I can’t help the drama either
Thanks everyone for your support, and I’m glad you’re all enjoying the new adventures!
I won’t say what will or won’t happen because there’s so much to do and so much can change in writing. I don’t usually like to share my intentions because I think the writing should speak for itself and ultimately once I’ve written it, its down to the readers to interpret. But for the sake of clarifying whether something is a glitch or not, I have been through it this morning and have not found a glitch in the way O and W’s stories can play out in Lux, CoS.
Congratulations on a successful release! I really enjoyed Lux! It was also a great excuse to replay the first two games.
That said, I am looking forward to the patch that fixes Gunther. He was my character’s best and aside from the pony only friend. It was a bit jarring for their relationship to suddenly grow distant.
Book three seemed a lot easier in terms of skill checks. I failed several checks in book two, but this one seemed much more forgiving. The new investigations also struck me as pretty straightforward. Maybe it’s just me, but I enjoyed failing in book two. It led to amusing scenes and provided a great incentive to replay it and try for a better outcome. I hope the next game will be harder.
I played an investigator with 80 spellcasting, 70ish willpower, 60 intuition and 40 combat, in case that matters.
I wasn’t a big fan of having to choose between advancing my stats at the end of the day or sleeping. The way it was handled in the previous books seemed better. Then again, given the easier skill checks characters imported from the previous games might have already been somewhat overpowered.
My hope for book four is to learn more about the mysterious voice. I can’t wait to find out if and how our chosen deity matters. More Orion, obviously. The icing on the cake would be hard skill checks with some options for truly epic mana intensive spellcasting like in book two. That final tornado was glorious!
