How is that supposed to work exactly? How is a demon gonna join an anti-demon organisation to begin with? I doubt Archangel Michael wouldn’t have a way to detect that you are one.
That sounds like a lot of fun.

I wasn’t sure if this was the right category so admin delete if it is not. So I actually finally started writing my WIP for my long term IF goal. I have a couple of side projects I want to finish first. So I’m trying to figure out how to word this… I have a personal Tumblr, I had originally created for fan fic. I have since stopped writing fan fic.
I only have like 50 followers there. But the other day I made a long post about everything so far that will be involved with my long term IF and received 1 like …and it was disappointing after I had put so much thought and effort into the post.I intend to do a smaller project first just so I can get the hang of CS and coding in general.
So my WIP is entitled (tentatively )“Beneath a Bloodred Dawn.” It’s high fantasy, involves time traveling, a war is on the horizon. Your MC is a time wielder. One of the last time wielders at that. They can control the flow of time. Very few are born with this gift. (It tis a rare gift in the AU). The village (or wherever the MC hails from) are on the brink of destruction.
Both sides have their own agendas and seek the time staff.(again I’m not sold on time staff.).But anyone who is said to have owned one and were born with the gift, are said to long have been gone. Until word gets out that there is a time wielder amongst them.
One side believes everyone should be able to wield time. They believe they have found a way to make that belief into a reality. But they need the time staff (what your MC has and what only your MC is able to use. ) But the thing is they’re blood thirsty and want vengeance. They want to rule the entire realm (still working on a name for the AU where this will take place.)
But on the flip side of that, you have the ancient ones. The ones that desire to keep tradition and preserve the past. They have no desire to move onto the future. They too have their own agenda as to why they need the time staff.
No one knows that your MC is a time wielder, no one knows they have acquired a time staff. That is until they do. Somehow word gets out amongst the villagers that their is a time wielder amongst them. But it’s not just the village that word spreads to. That there is a living, breathing time wielder out. Raids start happening on random villages. Fires are set to houses, citizens are tortured and killed for information, people begin disappearing.
Amidst the chaos, your MC vanishes into the night. No one knows what he/she looked like. Your MC was living a quiet life of a farmer (I may do more origins this is one that just popped into my head.) Until all this death and destruction begin happening. You and your family pack up your things and stow away into the night. No one notices or so you think.
That is the premise of my story. I know there’s still a lot to work on. I also have the ROs. 2 are gender locked and 2 are player choice. So a total of 4 ROs technically 6 if you count the 2 that can be male or female.
All this to say, is it too early to start trying to get people interested? Because I posted it to my Tumblr and well it received 1 like lmao. So what I’m asking is how do you start to get people interested into your story? I don’t have enough written or coded to throw down a WIP just yet but I’d like for people to start showing some interest.
How do you go about doing that in the beginning stages of the WIP? Im planning to make a dev blog soon. I just can’t call it officially a WIP just yet. How do you gain a following/audience? Is it too early to try and garner interest?. I used a lot of hashtags on Tumblr even and still only received 1 like. I was just wondering how to get the word out there. Currently I’m just writing in my notebooks more of the plot, fleshing out the ROs, brain storming etc. Thank you for your time and reading my post. Any feedback is most welcome.
So far, it sounds interesting! Now onto your question. Here on the forum, it’s never too early to start reaching an audience. You can start a WIP thread as soon as you have a demo. Some people update their demo and thread every chapter, others once a month. And still others do big chunks at a time. So you can make the WIP thread when you only have a prologue, if you want. As for gaining an audience for your WIP, I’ve found the more info the better. People want to know what they’re getting into, and are less likely to check out a WIP without a lot of information. So I would give the basic setup (like you did here), the basic, spoiler free version of the plot (you know, “solve the mystery of X”, “lead a rebellion for Y”, etc), and some info on the ROs. Their names, gender, basic personality. Nothing needs to be a spoiler, just enough for people to know what to expect
YES YES YES YES, I love story war and I would love a IF about it but sense you know copyrights and stuff, I would also love a IF that is inspired by Star Wars like this one so once again YES
And hopefully this might encourage other to do the same and bring both the authors and readers favorite fandoms into the world of IFs in we’re fans can interact with the world they love so much and no longer be a silent watcher of its journeys and can actually sorta precipitate in it
Quick question, how would people feel about a story where the MC finds themself in an arranged marriage with a supervillain?
Interesting
Sounds interesting
As long as I were able to decide the gender of both the MC and the supervillain in question, that sounds like an interesting concept, and I can already think of all the drama that might spin from it, and I like what I’m envisioning.
Just imagine bing a house wife/husband/whatever people want to be these days MC and forcing your villain spouse and their hero enemy into peace because when the hero tired to break into the villain liar they ruined the floor the MC just mopped
I was thinking the MC might want to team up with, overthrow or otherwise murder, or escape the supervillain, or maybe get them arrested, or make them stop being a supervillain, but I have to admit that sounds hilarious.
“Time out, both of you! You ruined my flower pots!”
Ah so it’s going to be that type of relationship, because I was thinking the relationship was going to be like oh shit I’m married to a supervillain help, to well it is what it is so let’s make the best of it
I mean, that does sound like a valid option, I just didn’t think of it.
(Because sitting in a room all day trying to hide doesn’t make very interesting gameplay.)
I would love it. Is MC in the marriage as an appeasement, or do they not know until later/after the marriage that their spouse is a supervillain?
I haven’t decided the full details yet, but the spouse being a supervillain is a well-known fact. I suppose appeasement would be a correct term (the MC:s parents trade the MC to a non-aggression treaty), although it could backfire (depending on what the MC does).
I have a choicescript, finally after reading so many topics. I’m finally starting a choicescript.
This is a genderlocked female so far… i’ll change it. But it’s a thriller, romance story.
About a girl’s best friend falling off a roof at a party. Everyone thinks it was a suicide but you don’t.
You think she was pushed So you’re off to find out who did.

And I think more is to come.
The link is coming soon!!!
Sounds intriguing, looking forward to the first update on it
A post was split to a new topic: Gray Swan - Hawks and Doves
Villain spouse: you are mine
MC: nah, who does the cleaning and cooking? ME, YOUR MY BITCH NOW!
So, antagonistic MC who enjoys annoying the spouse to death? Am I reading this right?
