Ahhh I gotcha lol.

I don’t know which basketball WIP you’re referring to, but I’ve been working on one called Last Shot that is getting updated fairly consistently.

Yes, I meant yours, but I didn’t say it’s not updating. I said the number of sports wips was not that high.

Yeah, the small number makes my heart ache. That’s one of the reasons I’ve been working so hard to keep this one alive. If we don’t start making them, who will?

Hey! I’m in the early stages of trying to write/code my first game using choicescript, but wanted to see if there would actually be people interested in the concept since it’s a little out there. The genre is murder-mystery/fantasy monster raising a la Digimon.

Four years ago during the Summer after 8th grade, you and a group of classmates saved the world (or at least your town, but saying world makes it sound cooler) after stumbling upon and befriending creatures equal parts bizarre, cute, and seemingly magical. At the end of your Summer you were safe, but your creature companions and the magic that came with them disappeared after you managed to stop the the mysterious force threatening you. You and the rest of the team suddenly had to figure out how to navigate your complicated feelings and relationships surrounding that Summer in the wake of losing your companions disappearance. And you had to do it while going through the already fraught period that is high school, and starting to grow up.

Now, it’s the Summer after your Senior year. People will be going off to college soon, or getting a job in the real world, and you rarely (if ever) speak to most of your old teammates. Until, you get a text message from class clown, and old teammate Gerry, asking you to meet him and hopefully all the others at the creek bed where you first met your companions all those years ago. When you all arrive Gerry isn’t there, which isn’t entirely unusual given he’s always late. The rest of the team takes this opportunity to start having an argument about whose fault it was that they didn’t stay friends. By the end of it, Gerry still hasn’t arrived, and you’re starting to get nervous. That’s when you find his body.

Who killed Gerry and why? What does it have to do with that Summer? And is one of your teammates right, have your old companions returned?

Planned Features

*Investigate a murder, and it’s connection to the strange creatures (and people) you used to call friends.

*Customize your character! Play as Female, Male, or Nonbinary, and Asexual, Bi, Gay, or Straight. Choose your fashion style and physical appearance.

*Pick which creature was your Companion, and what your relationship with them was like.

*Relive your past while trying to cope with the problems that come after saving the world.

*Repair your relationships with your old teammates, or decide to focus on enjoying the Summer with your current best friend.

Romance Options

*Noah Allende- A track star, and the default ā€œleaderā€ of your previous team who got a big athletic scholarship to go to a school upstate. He was always a little cocky, and oblivious to the resentment some of his team members felt towards him, but in the past four years he’s become a real jerk. If you ever made the mistake of trying to talk to him about what happened and his role in it, he’d look at you like you were crazy and pretend it never happened.

*Paige Bell- Leader of her local church youth group, future nursing student, and back in the day, the member of your team best at getting her hands dirty and fighting off the enemies you all faced. She’d prefer to forget about that last part. Ever since then, she’s thrown herself into her extracurricular activities. Sports, music lessons, debate club, you name it and she’s probably been a part of it at some point and used it as an excuse to not hang out with you if you ever asked.

*Abigail Otsuka- A shy and lonely girl back in middle school, desperate for friends to call her own. It’s no surprise that the loss of her Companion, and of the group she thought would stay together hit her especially hard. For years she waited by the creek bed every day after school hoping that eventually their Companions would return. Up until halfway through last school year when she stopped abruptly for reasons she refuses to talk about.

*Isaac Christie- The ā€œSixth Rangerā€ so to speak. He and his Companion joined your team late, since they were originally helping the enigmatic force you and the others fought. Not only have you not talked to him in years, you haven’t seen him in years. He and his family moved away early in your Freshman year, and any attempt to find him on social media or text his old number haven’t gotten any results. Naturally, he wasn’t at the creek the night you and the others found Gerry’s body, but he’s come back to town for Gerry’s funeral and plans to stay for the Summer.

Annabelle Westerfield- Your current best friend, and a proud under achiever. She doesn’t know anything about what you or your team went through, and maybe that’s why she’s so easy to talk to. Her only concern is hanging out by the pool at her rich parents’ McMansion and having as much fun as possible before leaving for college. It’ll be hard to stay close if you choose to spend your whole Summer investigating your old friend’s murder, but it’s possible.

Crazy how good all these ideas are

Can you elaborate more on this?

Woah, I love this one. I think we need more dystopian IF’s on here. (And in general) Maybe they are but I just haven’t searched enough.

Also, are all of them gender choice or are some of them gender-locked?

Hello! Yes, I can surely elaborate. If I’m being honest the running one was on the spot, all of these were, but I wanted to flesh out the world. I think the reason for why they would have to be kept alive through running would be the near dictatorship that hovers over them, where it’s like the Roman Empire with the colosseum. So it’s not a ā€œlivingā€ situation, more of a death race to simply live if you’re chosen that day.

Thank you! I can probably come up with more dystopian stories if needed. That specific story is actually supernatural in a way, there’s a spoiler reason for why they wear muzzles and have become drug induced 24/7 workers that never sleep in a pure capitalist system. Also they cannot live, like they will not be able to function without the gas, as they’ve adapted and became so reliant on it.

All of them are actually gender choice. I’m only taking the ideas/concept and world out of theses works I’ve written, not the characters themselves or gender by any means.

All of these are literally by the seat of my pants so given time and effort I can certainly make things more interesting and develop the ideas or even combine them.

god’s prayer, death of a starry child and loveless loner is so fucking good. but my top one has got to be loveless loner just because of the fact of how the mc acts with anything associated with love. would this be more romance focused? can you elaborate on why the mc ended up that way? what the whole goal of the mc in the story?

god’s prayer sounds so badass. reminds of those games where a holy figure like wields a gun, so cool.

death of a starry child is interesting. what does the star do? what is the duty of the mc?

holy shit that sounds so good. an mc being a hopeless romantic only to end up hating it. sign me up. really like the idea of having to buy love just to experience it. also makes mc romancing with anybody so much more complicated. really diggin this one

Ooh. I can see great things happening with this one.

I can’t wait for the deep, dark, grittiness this stories about to bring

I create story ideas on a whim too. And I’m sure you can do just that.

I enjoyed the brief ideas here and I think it’s safe to say people like options lol and hope eventually you get to write about all your ideas even further.

The idea seems interesting, but isn’t eight ROs a bit much? You would have to either cut their scenes to save the time spent writing them for eight characters or painstakingly write them - and this will definitely add up. Also, what would ROs be like, what purpose would they serve to the plot, how would you make their stories intervine with main themes?

so… i just watched our flags mean death, and was wondering if anyone would be interested in a pirate based game, because i can barely find any besides that one from heart’s choice. need to figure things out, but i know for sure that there’s gonna be a romance option based off of blackbeard/edward teach. maybe stede, too, but idk. anywho, if anyone shows interest i’ll probably start writing characters in a few days

@wolfbrothers would the RO’s be genderfluid? Will you play as a man/woman/nonbinary? Gay/straight? Its an interesting story concept, we just need a little more information.

Hey, just a question but would anyone be interested in a type of supernatural hunting game set in a more gritty world like vampire the masquerade bloodlines type ? Since I have seen a lot of vampire romance and insert novels but very few where you oppose them.

Pirate based games are underrated and we definitely need more. You should totally write one :))

I think another pirate game would be great! There is Choice of the Pirate and I believe one called A Pirate’s Pact that I haven’t played yet. I’d also highly recommend Choice of Broadsides and Choice of Broadsides: HMS Foraker as two other great games set during the Age of Sail.

Best of luck, and hope all goes well!

Maybe an Anne Bonney or Ching Shih too?

you can choose your gender (choosing between being cis or trans, too), some r/os might be genderfluid, most of them will be genderlocked, and most r/os will be pansexual. that’s all i got for now.
