I did. Spent the last 3 days replaying. Did the Defense + Archers traps, did the Defense + Tactic, tweaked the battle options in the Atimming and Kodrid battle, slayed the foragers, left the foragers alone. You name it. In fact, following the guides always got me a stalemate in the final battle, it was only when I changed some options that I won.
Iâve tested my quintuple tactics guide since the newest update and it in fact still does work with getting the ARM/TV and V/DB and TL. So iâm unsure what occurred, but iâm glad you were able to win.
Good news! The dirty quintuple, played for the first time, works after the update!
Warrior Queen, Total Victory, Victory/Decisive Blow, Total Loyalty
- First, play as a Tactics Marshal. Then tell the nobles about Sobikâs death at the ball.
- Tell Elya that youâll help her be strong (Cold) or to be strong for others and weak for herself (Warm), either raises her Strength
- Rush for the archers in Belosâs Sally, then fall back to the walls.
- Tell Elya that Belos and Sobik messed up and paid for it (Cold), or that death is the way of the world and one must cherish the living while they are alive (Warm). This raises her Strength.
- Acquire âButchery upon the Wallsâ achievementâduring the siege choose the special Tactics option.
- Tell Elya either to not let her fury overwhelm her reason in acquiring vengeance (Cold), or not to let grief consume her (Warm). This raises her Strength.
- Choose the Tactics option for dealing with the illness. Then choose Regimentation for the Retinue.
- Either give Elya a âwoman-upâ speech (first option, available for all Marshals) or lay into her for crying and feeling overwhelmed instead of being a queen (available at high Envy, but this run ends with Ending 2 for TL and my personal preference). This raises her Strength.
- Do not allow Milon and Lada to go looking for the missing knights in the blizzard. While the Salutis fantasizing scene is fun, so is talking to them at the castle.
- Let Elya take charge of the Castle Salutis introduction. Her Strength should be 5 now.
- During negotiations, choose to give Elya some support (her Strength will drop to 4 but thatâs OK. It will go back up next chapter). This is option 2.
- Recruit 0.5 levies, 2.5 archers, 1.5 light cavalry, 1 retinue.
- Not sure if the cavalry crossing skirmish actually affects things, but I choose to tell people to fan out.
- Choose defenses and the Archer Trap strategy. This isnât an ARM guide and this particular army is probably not going to get it.
- Spread the retinue evenly throughout the army, and keep all riders (light and heavy cavalry) in reserve.
- Save Dismas, Lada, or call a retreat. I prefer to save Dismas so I do that. Elect to retaliate with your archers (I have Elya order them, but since sheâs at Strength 4 at this point, doing so does not raise her Strength).
- Kill the rebel foraging party.
- At the first possible opportunity to do so, order the feigned retreat leading the rebels into the trap. Then go to personally join the fighting, leaving Elya in the care of bodyguard soldiers. This is where you earn Warrior Queen.
- The Archer Trap works like a charm. After witnessing this, choose to set all your cavalry after the routed rebels. This is where you earn Total Victory.
- Take the short route, with your capable light cavalry protecting the rest of the army, in Chapter 7. How you deal with Vedranâs betrayal in Chapter 6 is entirely up to you.
- Be honest with Lord Moren (either call the spontaneous parade too much of a fuss over your arrival or use Kroridian slang when concurring with him, then bluntly admit you wish he was Tomos).
- Choose whatever armor and weapons you want (I choose brigantine and a poleaxe). Make sure you know how to beat Vuk with whatever you choose.
- Train the Retinue in Regimentation 2. It may seem tempting to build a more well-rounded retinue, but donât do it.
- Recruit 3 Veterans and 1 Rangers. The High Veteran Presence is extremely helpful.
- In Chapter 8, charge down the hill and seize the cannons to take them out of the fight (and the subsequent battle in Chapter 9).
- Beat Vuk in your duel unassisted. While Iâm not sure whether this actually affects the rebel army beyond sinking Radeâs morale, it means that Berserker Ranger doesnât die saving you.
- Choose the Open Battle. We donât have enough rangers or light cavalry for a successful Tactics path run.
- Put the rangers with the archers, and put the retinue evenly throughout the army.
- Let the rangers/archers fire on the oncoming cavalry and avenge Belosâs Sally. Continue to soften up the cavalry with the archers in the choice after this one. After that, commit part of your cavalry to driving off the flanking attempt.
- Tell the rangers/archers to fire on Rade and their rebel counterparts, then tell your cavalry to attack (thatâs the second option. The first requires things to go south to not be grayed out) a flanking attempt.
- Make the light cavalry flank the rebels, mass the retinue strategically to compensate for the lack of numbers, and have the archers fire on cavalry (donât make them attack infantry).
- For the Marshalâs big moment, choose the infantry charge (save a horse!). Use the Tactics option to do big damage.
- You should earn Victory here. Choose to lay a Decisive Blow on the routed rebels.
- Final army composition:
- Do not betray Elya in Chapter 11, if you even have the Envy to consider doing so (you need 4 Envy to pursue this line of thought after Archbishop Wrido brings up rehonoring. I hadâŚ-3 Envy).
- At Elyaâs coronation, 4 nobles will publicly pledge fealty to her (as well as to the Marshal, in the case of two of themâthey and their families survived because of the Marshalâs timely warning of Sobikâs death). Then nearly all the vassals will follow her into the church, because her 5 Strength allows her to give one hell of a speech. You will earn Ending 2 as well as Total Loyalty.
I hope that this helps!
As if the child was to blame here. Wtf.
Try to not only have to watch the walking reminder of your husbandâs infidelity every day, but to be forced to take care of it for literal years, and itâs not so strange. As an exercise, try to imagine yourself being forced for years to take care of Mira, someone you inherently hate, and to be always nice to her rather than able to speak your mind freely. Itâs not going to improve your disposition towards her, quite the opposite.
As for the final deed, sheâs very much drunk out of her mind. While her hate towards MC is undeniable, her judgment is also severely impaired.
LOVE that i can fĂnally play this game til the end. Been waiting for this one for a long tim, love the dynamic between the marshall and their family and Obren so much. Canât wait to get trough all the endings and routes! Sorry if this is rude to ask but I saw that the author was thinking about making an achievement guide, does anyone know if thats still the plan? congrats on the release!!
To my knowledge thats still the plan they have in the mean time there are a couple guides out there that can get you a good chunk of them in one playthrough.
Idk if this has already been given to you but I think I found a bug(?) Where the text says"PLACEHOLDER" at the top of it, sorry if I do this wrong but itâs at a battle near the river, to give away as little as possible for people on this thread spoiler wise. Do you wish me to post it here and should I use spoiler tags? Also what information would you like from me regarding it, I already have a screenshot of it ready to send.
Sorry if I am making mistakes or anything posting this here, just wanna help the author.
This thread is spoiler filled already. That said, did you edit the save or game files at all?
This thread generally has no issues with seeing spoilers, some people hide it out of general consideration. But yeah if you find any errors/bugs itâs best to post a screenshot of the error as it helps the author out. But if itâs an edited run where you found the error like Snowflower said than the error could be because of that.
Not edited the save or game, just playing it through for the first time, battle at Atiming River. Just tried to post the screenshot from my phone and it gave me a error about embedding media links, whatâs the best way to post it?
Iâve never seen such a thing on the omnibus.
@Bacondoneright if we end Chapter 1 in our room without fighting with the guards (and after informing the nobles of the kingâs death) after mingling with the ball guests, Darin still doesnât get added to the character sheet. This bug is still present (Iâve shared a screenshot in the past). He gets added if you mingle and fight.
There does still seem to be some bugginess to do with reloading the chapter 9 battle, Iâm afraid to say. Not sure whatâs causing it, but after a few restarts Iâll start to get situations where one page tells me that Iâve successfully repelled a cavalry charge, then the next page talks as if the enemy charge succeeded. Iâm on Android version 39662, not sure if a later version has been released.
Iâd restarted the whole game since my last bug report, so shouldnât have been due to an update happening halfway through.
EDIT: ah, I saw there was another update today. Just my luck lolâŚ
Had to do it this way to get the picture online, canât insert an image from my phone into my reply.
She was the Queen not a nanny, they live in a big palace, not a little hovel. You can have surprisingly little day to day interaction with each other there as many of the arranged marriage Kings and Queens have done historically. Now if weâre going by traditional European standards she would have been expected to be slightly more involved with a female Marshall but she could and likely did leave a male one mostly to Sobik and his own tutors/nannies, etc.
Mira was just cruel and petty, no way around it. And she only got away with it because the mcâs real mother, instead of being minor nobility, was a commoner with no status at all. Otherwise the most standard reaction would have been for Sobik to exile the mc to be a cadet branch with some barony in the ass end of his kingdom.
Still there is nothing that can be done about it now, since even re-honoring wonât change much in practical everyday terms and the costs of it far outweigh any gains. What my mc can be is better than Mira by at least trying to make sure Elya does not do the same thing to Vedran.
Mira explicitly talks about taking care of little MC herself. Thereâs only so much avoidance that can be done before people start to notice and rumors start, and the very act of avoiding someone is also reminder of their existence.
I always took Miraâs line of âOh, Sobik⌠you haunt me still.â When the Marshal starts beating her in chapter 5 to mean that Sobik was physically abusing her. I think she was an abuse victim who coped with her abuse by finding someone weaker than her and abusing them. Sadly the Marshal also served as a constant reminder of her powerlessness. Which makes me think that Mira sees the Marshal as a facet of the abuse she suffered and hurting the Marshal was getting back at Sobik. I think when the Marshal and Mira come to an understanding in Chapter 5 it shows a lot about how Mira views her life. She apologizes for Sobik. She is the victim of Sobik that is the most important detail of her life to her. In that scene though she is recognizing that the Marshal suffered under him as well. I hope that with this understanding sheâll start to see the Marshal as someone she abused and not another facet of how Sobik abused her. Mind you that could just lead to more drinking rather than actual growth, but I believe there will always be a path within these games that leads to healing.
In the Marshalâs flashback of getting sent of to war it says they tense because they expect him to lash out and in one of Vedranâs POVs when heâs with Rade he says something that implies Sobik beat him too so I wouldnât doubt he beat Mira along with the rest of them.
I wonder if there is ever text that hints that she regrets what she did to the Marshal âat Respect 3, when the Marshal calls her out for being concerned and compassionate to the imprisoned Vedran (who sent her and Elya to Rade) while maiming them as a child, she says that any compassion she had for them that day was at the bottom of a bottle. The Marshal then had the choice to tell her that they no longer care for her or what she thinks of them and that they are done with her (which is supremely surprisingly satisfying), or to tell her to KHS. Since 4 is the magic number for a lot of stats (the romances, Elyaâs Strength and Envy of Elya, etc.) in ITFO Iâll try accepting her condolences in Chapter 5 rather than non-committally grunting before asking her why she is so compassionate toward the son that could easily have caused her death.
My main Marshal Anna doesnât go out of her way to antagonize Mira (but she doesnât like her and doesnât seek her out), but by the end of the story sheâs done keeping calm with Mira and tells her that she no longer cares for her or for what she thinks. My usurper Marshal Kresnik never cared for her and had no problem telling her to KHS and after the events of Ending 3, Mira does.
