I, the Forgotten One Release Thread (1.2)

I know this is orf topic to the current discussion just wanted to pop in and say that being told i could play as a lesbian and then popping into the game to find no lesbian ROs and a straught man who persistently refused to get the hint that I was a lesbian nade me feel baited. Kinda missed the point on why we lesbians like to play as lesbians in games like this.

This is like promising a steak abd then delivering a slab of raw uncooked meat or a plastic steak chew toy. Sure, you’re technically living up to the promise at the beginning, but not in any way that actually matters.

There is going be a lesbian RO in the second game. That’s what @Bacondoneright said, before. It was in a older post, I can’t remember the post number. :slightly_smiling_face:

so did mine, it’s not revolutionary to think a decisive victory would have pacified them. or do you think things would have played out the same even if he had defeated the marshall?

alright dude, this is obviously a touchy subject for you. but even you would have to admit you elya is worse than marshall in this aspect. if the marshall has little to some idea, then she is completely oblivious.

The benefit of establishing being a lesbian helps counter the Counts affections. Being able to back him off of you. As long as not giving him the time nor thought that is. Because I know if dance with him (did once, regretted a friendly dance), or give him a thought, it causes the romantic aspects to happen.

Besides all that. Wish I could point him to my sister instead. I just try and treat him being friend only when discussing things as well as avoiding him when comes up.

I can cope without a romantic partner until book 2. If you read Uly and how she is written in Bacons other book, Whiskey-Four. I trust this author to approach a lesbian relationship quite well in book 2.

Edit: adding that this is my fav due to state of MC mind.

That’s a maybe; he hasn’t confirmed it yeah

Yeah, except thats kind of part of the problem. If I make my Marshall a lesbian I dont want the Count’s advances at all. I want to be able to date women. My inability to romance any of the women while being expected to put up with some creepy straight dude trying to ‘fix’ me ruined the entire game for me, and as my introduction to this author does not instill in me faith he can write a lesbian RO.

Yeah that isn’t instilling much more confifence in me, dude.

Take a look at Whiskey-Four. I love Uly myself.

I read this the first time and yes, it was cringe when did the dance.

The second run I didn’t nor the third time I am currently running. I stood up against the wall to avoid him. When he comes to me and then (yikes) at his pov. I tried every option to not wanting to talk to him.

I concur, he is creepy as fuck to me. I definitely can’t argue against that. I wish I could tell him to stop talking to me. I did chose/plead him to go away. (Not sure how straight women see that scene but never flirting with him to find out.) Thankfully, after Wrido, during the road travel, it is mostly optional to talk to him. There are two scenes where he does talk to you. Once to thank you for saving Lada, and the other is within Kroridian itself, where it’s mostly him realizing he has to apologize. Which he tries? I think. Honestly, he seems to ignore me after getting to Kroridian. Thankfully, which isnt til about chapter 7, sadly. You can avoid him outside of Wrido thru to saving Lada, and then again after. Not sure you made that route yet. There is a moment after saving Lada definitely but not near as creepy as before leaving Wrido.

I love it cause the broken MC aspect. When I learned a second book was coming, it was said to maybe happen. I was uncertain. I can understand part of the reasoning while on road with an army. Sorta.

It wasn’t until I got into Whiskey-Four that I was hoping for this book 2. Uly is broken mind you, but the history and build up is wonderful. @Bacondoneright is great at broken characters and dividing men from women experiences. I @ him to hopefully see that a relationship for us is important within book 2. Otherwise, I am aware how many dropped this book on this topic alone.

I am almost to the point where I know I have to deal with the Count again. I can update once there. Cause the first run was first release, did ending one. Second wasn’t too far from then. Third, current, is preparing for book 2, mostly. As I honestly don’t like dealing with the Duke myself.

Really wish I could tell him. I am not interested. He really does get it by time got to jungles.

Edit: to add, Uly is able to be Ulya or Ulysses. That may have an impact. But i loved Ulya.

Could the usurper Marshal use Vedran to split any Legitimist faction in Game 2 between pro-Vedran and pro-Elya camps? The whole way Sobik did the disinheritance was entirely too private and could easily be brought into doubt.

In the case of a low strength Elya, leadership of the Legitimist army could be a contentious issue as well.

Well. I did the archer numbers being higher battle. Wow! The loss is very tiny. The enemies lost bit over 4k where I lost barely 200. That is a very big win.

Guess I will be adding even more archers from now on! If I run it again.

(The lack of an RO makes me not want to do another after this one. In prep for book 2 whenever it comes. And the reason this isn’t number one favored.)

I had 1200 archers and deployed the Rangers with them in final battle. Was able to stop both of Rade’s cavalry charges with just the archers. Then my cavalry was able to crush his flank unopposed.

His army essentially disintegrated.

His archer to infantry ratio was like 1:20 and mine was 1:4 or something like that. Might make sense in the civil war as it goes on others start to copy-cat the marshal with respect increasing the proportion of the army that is archers.

I only had 800 so far. Thats Aitiming River. I don’t deal with the one Lord. I know could have more if I delt with him.

1000 archers is usually what you should aim for, that plus Rangers in chapter 7 means you’re set

Ehh, i had like 650 archers at the end of the game. Was more than enough for both the killbox and to wipe out Rade in the final battle. So no need to tell people they “should” have some silly numbers when they in fact don’t.

There is one spot I don’t think I ever will get a choice at. Once at Loralay and finished talking to sis.

Too bad they’re all wrong.

Maybe you’re worth something after all. (Always greyed out.)

Regardless of directions I went mentally, it’s always grey. Top is only one I get. Maybe I missed something in consistency?

Is it only if your romantic evolving?

These “choices” are the author’s way of showing that your MC is unable to overcome the issues they suffer from. They won’t be enabled at that point no matter what because MC is not “there” yet, to to speak.

Checking because I never romance and if that’s why it staid grey. Thanks.

Replaying the game and had images made of the character based on how they appear in my playthrough. I used descriptive prompts in bing to create these.
