I’ve stopped buying games on mobile a long while ago since I can just buy it much cheaper through the website, but thanks for the heads up.

I am very glad that this game is out. I can say that it is worth it.

Congratulations on the release, can’t wait to finally play it!

@CavusRex, you could try to buy them on Steam too. With seasonal sales it’s quite convenient if you want to buy multiple titles (next one is at the end of the month if I recall correctly). Then you just have to link your Steam account to the CoG one and you have access to the titles on all platforms!

I think it’s because Steam has a local payment site, but the Hosted Games app does the transactions in USD and includes taxes. I once changed my account on Nintendo Switch to Argentina to buy a game that was on sale there, but I paid twice the price in taxes on my credit card. This is because we pay two taxes, the Brazilian tax (IOF) and the tax of the country we are buying.

Just finished, really well written. Happy to see it finally out man.

However…

Did not know it was just part one. A bit miffed, was expecting a full story so yeah that was a bit annoying but he writes consistently so I don’t have too much dread of it not continuing. Just a bit sad since this seemed like a fully condensed and nicely packaged game from everything I saw and now I gotta wait to see the end.

Holy… wait, actually, I’m going to put this in spoiler tags for both spoilers and potentially the copious amounts of swearing I’m about to do.

Holy shit. I should have gone to sleep about 4 hours ago and instead I have been absolutely captivated.

I came late to I, The Forgotten One so only checked out the WIP once it had already been slated for publishing, so only read the first few chapters. I was hooked pretty quickly though and eagerly awaited it’s release. Sometimes that sort of build up can let you down. NOT THIS FUCKING TIME!

While the premise is, admittedly, maybe a little generic, the characters and their interactions with each other are anything but. I loved Darin and his love for the MC. I hated Lada at the beginning for her relentless hounding of the MC and gradually grew to respect her for her actions. I felt proud of Elli and her growth into a true Queen. I loved Obren and his desire to support the MC, even if he didn’t know exactly how.

While I’ve only done one playthrough so far so I don’t know how reactive the story is to the choices made, but there was one scene where, if it wasn’t a result of my choices then I must have been playing the character exactly how the author envisioned it. When my MC finally broke down and admitted his pain to Darin, the way he described what he was feeling was so eerily spot on to how I was playing the character I was amazed. How he both longed for the battlefield, how he loved to fight, yet at the same time was horrified by his own actions and the death and destruction he left in his wake.

I know it’s going to be confronting for some people, but dear fucking christ the depictions of PTSD and self harm were so amazingly spot on and added so much depth to the story. I don’t really know how you can tell the story of a child soldier without getting into that level of emotional destruction.

I am frustrated that I have to sleep, because all I want to do right now is immediately start a second playthrough. This is amazing. Bravo.

It seems like a crime that I only paid 4.99 for this. Absolutely stunning work.

YEAH! Best year for HG! Fallen Hero, The Passenger and now this. If Mind Blind would be a 2023 release too, I could never say that 2023 was bad.

Thank you all for your congratulations! I’m so excited for you all to be able to experience the full version!

Oh boy. I hope you can find a more… reasonable price somewhere

I just hope that the current ending is satisfying enough to tide you over until the next one.

Glad to hear it!

Thank you!

It’s been a killer year for Hosted Games, that’s for sure
