Honestly, these games are reminding me of why I played the WW games I played and not the others. I’m waiting to see if we get Changeling and Mage games, but only really looking for a Wraith game and more Vampire games. I never got much into Hunter or Werewolf games and these are very vividly bringing back why (also why I was pretty neutral on Changeling and Mage.)

may i ask why you never got into hunter or werewolf? Ideally without spoilers for this book. Mind you, i also never got into hunter or wraith. I’m just curious what are your reasons personally

What is it exactly that repelled you from those games, if you don’t mind me asking, I’m quite curious as I’m new to this.
Looking forward to more WoD games, especially Changeling and Mage. Wraith would be awesome too. Kindred of the East, and other East Asian WoD games would be interesting, as this genre is mostly under-explored in new media. Demon, a more integrated with WoD Orpheus, and Mummy would be great to have. I haven’t had experience of Chronicles games, there may be some interesting games there. One last thing that probably would never be implemented by CoG but would be cool is WoD wide storyline event DLCs.

Generally it was the underlying lore and how it applied to character creation and gameplay. And I’ll admit, how that informed how my group played the games as well. Werewolf, Hunter and Mage tended to bring out the worse aspects of the guys, and Changeling brought out the worse aspects of some of the gals and again, a lot of the guys. And I know that was not something universal across all groups, but it was really discouraging (and Mage was what led to us breaking up before even getting to Promethean or Mummy) to watch and try to play through. Wraith (and later Shadowrun, but that’s a whole other company/system) actually acted a bit as a pressure valve and likely kept us together longer than we would have played if we hadn’t come across it. The way in which the characters were created and envisioned and what was allowable via the game guides seemed to have brought out a lot more ugliness than Vampire did and I think that’s because the lore and tropes seemed to give more…er space? To emcompass many of the things that the other games decided to focus in on individually. It felt like going from a borderline egalitarian public school to going to a private school in a gated community that was made up entirely of cliques with no middle ground (particularly Changeling and Mage.) There was just no room to breathe.
But again, this is all subjective and only indicative of what happened in the group I was a part of. (Also we’re old, so the versions of the games we were playing are not today’s versions.)

Sorry not trying to be rude, but I’m not really sure how that connects to what I was asking
I know it’s kind of random, but I absolutely loved the reference/easter egg to the film Ronin that comes up when you pick one of the options confronting Jaime at the Knights camp. The bit where you call him out on his fake military career by asking him the colour of the boathouse at Hereford was a perfect rendition of the scene where Robert Deniro’s character does the same to Sean Bean’s Character in the film and I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. There’s even the bit at the end where the narration admits that you don’t even know if there is a boathouse, just that you knew he definitely wouldn’t. I loved that film and I loved this game too so well done!
Wish I had a more in depth review at the moment, or something more insightful to say but I still need a couple more play throughs under my belt. Greatly enjoyed my first one though!

I did (repeatedly at leastt imply) that it was subjective, not objective.
I wouldn’t hold my breath for wraith i think that this line is disconected by developer. Personally i think mage has the biggest chance to beeing published and than having IF game.
It’s a great game, already got my copy at steam. But I was wondering, like the other World of Darkness games, there will be dlc as well? If so, count with my help and support ; )
No DLC has been announced at this time.

I was wondering about some characters fates, it’s possible to:

kill Milucra? like there’s a option where MC says they are coming for Milucra as well someday, but later if you allow her to erase Áine from your mind as well, won’t you also forget about Milucra?

prevent Sister Judith from dying on the ambush? It’s a scripted death? Or there’s a way to avoid her death? If so, how I do that?
I get what youre talking about completely, and to an extent, i think thats intended. Ive never run a mage game or played in one but with power comes a lot of creativity and unethical uses of it and that can get pretty disturbing. But i would see that more as a representation of the individual and the trappings of power more than anything else, and it ideally encourages the party to at least try and be less overtly evil, especially if you reward the less evil paths. But it is urban horror so “everyone is evil” is kinda the point. I get it though, and hearing it out loud, i completely understand your perspective. Vampire is a lot more introspective so i feel like its less prone to such things
I am thinking this Hunter: The Reckoning, especially Cormac, he might concede with Werewolf: The Apocalypse, if Cormac is a Werewolf, what clan would he be in, and what gifts he would possess?
The Garou are so useless in this game, I’d be surprised if any of the pack even knew what gifts were.

Correcting part. I hate vampires. Its not Hunters (besides the Saints) and not the wolves.
Really stuck on Chapter 7/8.
I hate Chapter 7. Maybe will just contiue.
5th restart because I already know and dont like how that’ll go. Yay, death by wolf for that 4th run. (Claiming such deaths but technically just restarts without encountering the case to happen).
