But, are we going to be able to get complete revenge in one playthrough ((like we get it on everyone)), or are we only going to be able to get it on a few in each run?

I believe I read further in the thread that you can either get revenge on them all at once with a big event or take them out one by one (or only target a few,) so it sounds like you’d be able to get everyone in one play through.

Weekly Update - September 22, 2024

Hello, revengers! Back again with an update.

I’ve finished Connor’s secret reveal! Yay! It was fun to write, I’ve made him squirm a bit. And now I’ve reached the homecoming campaign. I’ve decided to go with: Get help from one of your targets; Do extravagant charity right in front of the school for everyone to see; Organize an event in the school relating to your main skill, to show off; Hold an expensive giveaway.

I’ve already written a lot for the “help” part, and I’m quite proud of it.

Otherwise, that’s it for this week. I’ve gone searching for artists to draw character portraits and I think I’ve found some good ones. I’ll likely do a poll in the near future for you guys to decide who I should go on with.

I also want to do a poll out of pure curiosity, what personality type did you choose? Or, if you played with more of them, which one is your favorite?

Weekly Update - September 29, 2024

Hello, revengers! A bad update this time around. I got absolutely nothing done. Why? Well, you probably don’t care about my excuses but I’ve had one of the worst weeks ever, thanks to British Airways.

I was supposed to take a flight to Canada and was stuck in a plane that didn’t leave the airport for 7 hours without any proper food. Once they kicked us out of the plane, they left us without any hotel or explanation at 2 AM in the middle of London. I ended up just going back to my home country after buying some very expensive tickets. This resulted in me being literally dead for a few days, as I spent around 48 hours with just 3-4 hours of sleep. So, um, sorry again, I’ll get back on the grind once my body comes out of hibernation, but I’ve just been taking a huge break from everything, even work.

Changing the subject, I’ve managed to hire 4 artists for a little competition where they’ll draw my MC for the game. We’ll do a big poll and I’ll want you guys to vote on who should start drawing art of the characters every month on Patreon. Two of them are already done, I’m waiting on the other half right now. Most likely we’ll do this contest next weekend.

I’ll also likely make the Discord for the HSR public next week, keeping just the Patreon content locked away, just so I can start seeing more of your guys’ opinions more often.

Weekly Update - October 06, 2024

Hello, revengers!

Quick update this week, I’ve gotten further with the homecoming campaign. Since I’ve created so many ways for you to gain popularity, there are quite a lot of variants to consider.
Sorry for the short update, there are times when all I have to write are relatively boring things to describe. I should be able to finish the whole campaign this upcoming week and start working on asking one of the ROs to be your homecoming date. Oh oh!

Weekly Update - October 20, 2024

Hello, everyone! Sorry for disappearing on you all, I had an interesting couple of weeks. Long story short, there was a death in the family followed by a vacation in a country with really bad internet.

Now that I’m done with the explanation, let’s get into High School Revenge, the reason you’re all here.

I’ve finished 99% of the homecoming campaign. I wrote on my phone, so a lot of variables are all over the place and I need to fine tune everything on my computer. When you can actually play this part of the demo, I want to hear your opinions on the help the ROs can give you. I think Isaac’s is pretty funny, but I do have the sense of humor of a 5 year old. Also, a bit spoilery here, so skip to the next paragraph if you know nothing about Vivian, but you can get her homecoming party proposition during the campaign too, if you missed it the first time around.

I’ve also started work on the first phase of homecoming: asking out someone to be your date. You’ll first have a choice to wait and see if anyone will ask you out or directly ask whoever you’re interested in. There’s a lot of freedom here, so even if you get rejected by 7 out of 8 ROs, you can try with the 8th RO as well. Generally, I’ve decided to make things harder for male MCs, since most ROs won’t take the initiative if you’re a male. I know, very sad, boys don’t get asked out as often as girls. Just to clarify, the check that will decide if the RO accepts your homecoming date invitation will have nothing to do with gender (unless we’re talking about the ones that have some sexual identity problems).

I’ve also come up with one non-RO date option, Fighting Rooster members can likely guess who it is, since it’s been implied. If you think there’s another option I may have missed that could work, please mention it.

The art contest I did a few weeks ago is also done, so I should start to have a lot of cool art of the characters done in the next coming months. I’ll start with a free one this month for everyone to see what me and Duveru will be offering up on Patreon. I’m thinking of doing the scene where Cecily tells the MC to not talk to her friends on the first day.

Last thing I want to ask is if you guys would be interested in joining the Discord I set up for the story? As you’ve all probably noticed, I tend to not talk much unless an update date comes, but I tend to be more active there since I also have some work-related stuff to do there. If there’s enough interest, then I have to work on making it a bit more fun and interactive (don’t worry, it won’t be a lot of extra work since I already have another server and know what I want to add) and then I’ll likely share the invite link next week.

Weekly Update - October 27, 2024

Hello, everyone! Short update this week. I’ve written how two ROs can ask you out for the homecoming dance if you have enough relationship points. Otherwise, nothing really crazy. I’ve just had to go through a lot of variables and create them or fix them, since it seems I was really clumsy on my phone. Also a lot of typo fixes.

So, as I said the previous updates, I’m working on choice to ask someone out for homecoming right now. And the options are all the ROs and one extra person (Lydia, the drummer).

The extra person is not really going to be a true romantic choice, and it she will not have a real plot to evolve the romance. Maybe just a little fling thing, nothing too real. But, are there any other characters that you feel would make sense for the MC to ask to be their date?

I don’t think so, but maybe I missed an amazing friendship or flirt sesh on the side while writing so many words and completely forgot. I know many of you are missing a lot of content, so you don’t really know of some of the characters that can appear in some relationship events, but is there anyone else I should maybe include?

Please leave a suggestion if I forgot someone important that would make sense. And don’t be afraid to write suggestions, I won’t concede and add 10 extra options just to make people happy, but I wanna know if I maybe have a character that could fit this role and forgot about them.

I’m sort of conflicted, honestly. We don’t really know enough after one month to have a date. I feel like I could RO Connor more seriously, but as a male MC, we are still dealing with his unrequited crush of Vivian (and that’s only if he’s no longer female option only). Then Marcus would be my next cause he’s an ally, but we’ve had no time with him outside of scheming. Maybe Dylan, but again…he still feels like a stranger/poser.

Isaac might also prove interesting, but again I know nothing on him really. Our mole’s info has been fairly useless and surface level so far. So even plotting of revenge at this point doesn’t have enough info to go on.

Basically, my MC still feels like to much a stranger at a new school to be rocking a homecoming date or victim already.

Probably Marcus then, cause then we can cover up our alliance and meetups with a ‘dating’ guise.

Weekly Update - November 03, 2024

Hello, revengers! Another week, another update!

I’ve gotten pretty far this week. There are 4 ROs that can ask you out to the homecoming dance and I’ve written all the ways they can do that under the right circumstances. I’ve also written what happens if you ask Dylan out in a public way, for everyone to see. It was pretty fun. I’ve also started on Olivia’s public homecoming proposal.

Some of you might also remember that I’ve added a sexuality and past experience question that appears once you have your first raunchy interaction in the game. I’m planning on moving it to chapter 2 since I’ve come to realize that yes, people that you aren’t attracted to will still flirt with you, I know, it sucks, but the narrator should be aware of this stuff earlier on, since the MC kinda is the narrator. And it’s weird for them not to know that you don’t like men when Isaac is all over you, ya know? At least make a snide comment, narrator! This should also stop the narrator from thirsting over characters that your MC isn’t attracted to naturally. This does not mean you won’t be able to flirt with them, only that it is a conscient and forced decision to flirt with someone you’re not attracted to just for your revenge. Mua ha ha. (the narrator might judge you tho, get used to it)

Weekly Update - November 10, 2024

Hello, revengers!

I spent a lot of this week relooking at older chapters to maybe change things around. One of the bigger things I did is that I added a sexuality choice in chapter 2, after looking at the lives the targets are living. This will help the narrator better when talking about their looks and not being thirsty for characters that your MC isn’t naturally attracted to.

I’ve also added a little flavor thing: if you choose the surname of one of your 8 extra fathers, you’ll get a little comment about their reaction. Since only 4 fathers have been presented so far, only these get a comment. I might also make it impossible to choose the surname of one of the targets, but I’ll think about it.

I also wasted some time trying to change a bit what happens in chapter 2. I need some opinions here, if anyone feels like chiming in. I was thinking of adding a conversation with the 9th dad before the MC talks to their mom about the video of the Tragedy, with this father actively pushing the idea of revenge. Not necessarily going back and doing what we are doing, but putting more seeds in our MC’s brain for the idea to go through. Idk, sorry for wasting time on something that I haven’t even gone through with. Tell me if it sounds good or if it’s just unnecessary.

The public hoco proposal for Olivia is also written and done and, ohoho, it’s kinda cringe. I will love to see your reactions to embarrassing her like that. Or embarrassing your MC like that…
